Never book your ticket to or from Isola d’ Elba via directferries!!! We didn’t recieve the tickets with the QR codes to the e-mail. They didn’t want to let us on the ferry (that also was over 1 hour late!!!), EVEN though we had an email with the confirmations of the tickets. They also get angry if you don’t speak Italian😡

Also, missed our connecting train because of directferries. Grazie!

Never book your ticket to Elba via directferries. It is a nightmare to change your Reservation. I didn’t recieve the Pdf with QR code and when I changed the order in the account they didn’t respond. After chat sessions they were not able to execute the amendments. Book direct by operating ships like Blue Navey it saves trouble & money ~20%

everything ok with the booking process but prices should be lower or the same offered by the ferries companies on their websites. Not a great price difference but still..

What is the point of this company? They charge a random service fee of 5gbp which you can avoid, as I subsequently found out, by booking directly. When I queried this, they made up some nonsense about this being due to the price fluctuation, which is not very transparent of them.
There is nothing 'direct' about Direct Ferries. Save yourself 5quid and book from the source.

Easy and quick purchase of Direct ferries ticket.

This is a flagrantly corrupt company. They advertise a £10 cancellation fee and when I had to cancel my booking, well ahead of their 48hr deadline, they withheld almost £500 for 'cancellation charges' without any explanation whatsoever. Their 'customer service' is a joke The website is basically a front end for an email service. Reponses take about two days and are semi-literate other than to repeat that they have applied 'admin charges' Use their search engine if you like but I highly recommend booking directly with the ferry operator directly. Don't be fooled by the rating on this site. They have multiple entries here....look across the other Direct Ferries entires. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

They will force you to take a voucher for a FULLY REFUNDABLE ticket!
That voucher will then expire and they won’t talk to you!
“Laura” doesn’t exist, just like the morals of these terrible people.

Tried to book trip and once the search results came in I tried to book. EVERY time I tried to book a sailing the message came back that whilst I had been booking that sailing had sold out...completely unbelievable being as I tried 5 different sailing times over 2 days...rubbish site.
Update: Received a courtesy call from Julie D at Direct Ferries who tried to understand the issue and offered to help. Too late for me but hopefully they fix their service to better serve others...

Before I could realize, they stole 5€ extra from my credit card. Apparently they get 5€ for every trip you make on their site which is a theft if you ask me. All you have to do is to book DIRECTLY from the ferries website. DO NOT USE THIS!

They don't answer!!!! I want m'y Money back! No voucher, no answer!

Their costumer service is between bad and no existence.

I paid an extra 50 euros when I booked the ferry to be able to change the departure time 48 hours prior departure. I tried to change it 6 days earlier and the website kept saying that I was too close to the trip to change it... No sense at all.

I sent two emails to solve it, no answer. I called twice in their help phone on their chat website waiting for 10 minutes each time, no answer until they hung up. I found a phone googling quite deep and I waited for 30 minutes, no answer. They are harder to reach out than the Queen.
