I asked a simple question via Digital Pacific's online assistant. While it took a few minutes to find the technical person to answer my inquiry, it was all sorted out. Thanks, Aswin for your help. It... See more

AVOID - DO NOT purchase hosting at Digital Pacific.
I am a hosting reseller. With the recent upgrades all my sites went down for 24 hours. Since then, one client has lost ALL their emails - this is a business that relies on emails for daily sales! Other client websites never came back up. Waiting 48 hours and still no response.
This is unacceptable. No warning for potential disruption. Can't get hold of tech support - waiting 3 hours on phone only to be disconnected. Chat never responds.
I'm moving all my business elsewhere.
And don't bother telling me that you want to 'investigate this further' - I have numerous tickets which have been left unanswered for over 48 hours. Websites down. Emails down. What am I supposed to say to my clients???

How about you reply to me right now in the chat where I have been waiting 8+ hours???

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Digital Pacific.
Their so-called “minimal disruption” server migration has caused significant disruption to my business. My website has been frequently down, I am unable to log in, and I cannot even access my orders — which is completely unacceptable.
What’s even more frustrating is the complete lack of support:
Phone calls go unanswered
Live chat is unresponsive
Support tickets are ignored
I have raised a ticket and received no response whatsoever. The customer support appears to be outsourced and, unfortunately, has been completely ineffective in resolving urgent issues.
I have been a customer for over 8 years, but this experience has been incredibly disappointing. The current level of service is nowhere near acceptable for a hosting provider.
Unless this is resolved immediately, I will have no choice but to move to another provider.
AVOID DIGITAL PACIFIC AT ALL COSTS

Possibly the worst fall from grace I have ever experienced. Used to have 24hr phone support here in Australia, super helpful, now you wait hours just to use their rubbish chat system, cant even keep an overseas call centre beyond 9 - 5. The service is appalling and they transferred all my clients over to a new server (last year many of there server were down for days!!) because they cram so many users on the one server. All my sites were broken, SPF and DKIM all corrupt and they still sant fix it!!! over 20hrs of work trying to fix problems they created. They have no idea what they are doing.

Their minimal disruption server migration has taken our sites offline for a full day, and even nearly a week on there are intermittent issues which is wreaking havoc for our business. The customer support is outsourced and totally useless. No useful responses to multiple tickets and still no resolution.
We are moving all our sites elsewhere
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

26 hours and counting of no emails, no website, no support, no responses. Their Quick Chat feature is left unanswered for hours, their phone support takes 1-2 hours to get someone to help who then can't help at all. Tickets are left unanswered for hours or days. The best you'll get is a cut and paste response to a complaint, but no followup and no accountability. Do NOT trust your business to this host - the only reason they have a higher rating than 1 is because previous owners ran the company well. Current owners are actively driving this business into the ground.
Update - 32 hours and still no results, no response, no accountability. It would seem that they no longer posses the skills and expertise to support their services - stay away from this company.
Update #2 - 40 hours and still no results. No answer on their phones, no responses to tickets, no responses on Quick Chat - if you're a customer already, move your services - this company is clearly going under fast.
They will give the standard cut and paste response to this review, asking to be contacted... then when you contact them they don't even respond to it.

Used to be a great host. I am a reseller responsible for many other businesses.
So many of my sites are broken right now due to breaking changes overnight. What is supposed to be a server migration has broken a whole host of sites.
I've had nothing from the support team. Still waiting on updates. It's been almost 24 hours down.

Digital Pacific have been fantastic. Every issue I raised was handled promptly and clearly, and their support team followed through until everything was resolved. Excellent service.

I used to recommend them for reliability and prompt and skilled service. Not anymore. Lately there seems to be a new company philosophy. They make unannounced braking changes to the hosting environment. They disable features, including important security features, without warning. To the point that currently not even standard software like Wordpress can run flawlessly in their environment due to a flawed networking setup.

only 1 week after my website was down for 6 hours in the busiest pic hours because Digital Pacific migration, they update and my website was down again.
Was very good platform for 15 years, but now disaster.
I will not recommend this platform.

Posted a support ticket for an urgent problem and for over two days no one got back to me. Waiting online in the chat and online on the phone and no response! Does anyone even work there anymore?

I had no idea what had caused a spam problem, and certainly no idea how to fix it. But Tech team solved it in very short time.

As a long term customer of 15 years, Digital Pacific has really gone downhill in the last few years. Previously there used to be highly knowledgeable local Australian staff doing level 2/3 support to assist you at any time. Now the staff have relatively no idea, and don't understand the issues you are presenting.
What's worse is this week they migrated their accounts on many of their servers to new location/provider, and caused untold issues for my business for 24 hours.
While the communication said it was a simple move and inferred that nothing else would change other than the url to access your site settings.
While I'm super technical, even these were tough to solve:
1) Root folder names changed, so all internal application file references broke when the website came back up
2) The file with all the rules to handle website traffic (htaccess) created internal server issues due the new webserver software
3) The handling of a new PHP version created new ways to pass variables with "REDIRECT_" prefixes, meaning multiple scripts had to be updated
4) Subdomains were incorrectly converted, meaning my traffic was not flowing correctly until the domains were deleted and recreated in cPanel.
5) The timezone for PHP on the new server is set to Chicago time! You have to manually find how to override it yourself.
*** More issues found - added on 19 March 2026 ***
6) Updated MySQL to 8+ broke existing SQL queries
7) All batch jobs were disabled by changing the crontab to run via /bin/false, which ensure batch jobs don't run. Edit crontab via shell to reset.
This has all been documented and sent to the support team. No response other than on acknowledgement to issue #1, 12 hours later (and almost 24 hours after the transfer) which was that "we have checked with our senior system administrator team and understood that the home directory change has been implemented to improve resource management. We have implemented it recently during the scheduled maintenance window .... It also helps minimize resource-related issues and improves overall server stability for all users."
Pity they didn't tell us, or at least help us understand how to find or resolve the issue.
You'd better be very technical and work out how to solve all your issues yourself.
But hang on, why isn't this why you pay a hosting provider in the first place - to do all this for you rather than self manage at AWS?
I'm never renewing again, even if they do come back and offer to help after posting this review. But maybe that's the only way to get a decent response.

Digital Pacific closed my account, following a security breach from their side which compromised my registered credit card. They closed the account without my approval, causing an interruption to my business website and incoming emails. This has negatively affected my business reputation and impacted my business financially. I tried any possible way to get support through phone, emails and the chat box but have not been able to reach anybody, yet!

Digital Pacific are the worst, they have sent out a notification stating upgrade and maintance for the Hosting websites and emails, though they forgot to mention to the customers how long. Customer service agent reponds was "I'll let the marketing team know about it". Seriously what business does that, not notify customers. I'll be looking to change host for website and emails in the next week as soon as I find a company, how can communicate to thier customers. I have been with them for over 14 years, they once were amazing small business right here in Sydney, they sold out and now when off shore, worst customer service.

I have been with this Australian company for almost 7 years. Fantastic company and on the odd occasion I need support, it is quickly resolved and then some.
