Unacceptable Service – Charged to Fix Their Own Mistake

I had a very disappointing experience with Diamonds International regarding a bracelet adjustment.
From the beginning, the bracelet was not sized correctly. I was explicitly told that extra length had been added “in case I gained weight,” which was both inappropriate and not something I requested. The result was a bracelet that never fit properly.
Although I did not follow up immediately, that does not change the fact that the initial service was done incorrectly. When I eventually reached out to have it corrected, I was told I would need to pay an additional fee.
After escalating the issue, management reduced the charge from $70 to $50—but I was still required to pay to fix a problem that originated from their own judgment during the initial adjustment.
What’s most disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. At no point did the company take responsibility for the original error. Considering how much I have already spent with Diamonds International, I found this response unacceptable. I did not feel valued as a customer, and the unwillingness to fully resolve the issue reflects poorly on their customer service standards.
Overall, this experience left a very negative impression. I would not feel confident purchasing from this company again.

I bought a bracket for my birthday

I bought a bracket for my birthday. It had broke one in a month and got it back! Broke again within 2 weeks. It is lost. What a nightmare. It was in mail more than I got to wear it. I only had it 3 months. Terrible!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If I could give Diamonds International zero stars, I would. This company is an absolute disgrace — and the fact that they operate onboard Disney Cruise Line makes it even more alarming.

I purchased a $15,000 piece of jewelry onboard a Disney ship, and the entire experience has been one lie, contradiction, and excuse after another. Diamonds International continues to rely on a “signed” document that they cannot produce through DocuSign, cannot verify, and cannot show ANY digital trail for. They produced multiple versions of the supposed contract — none of which match — and not a single one was ever sent to me by text, email, DocuSign, or any other method. Why? Because it doesn’t exist.

They also claimed they shipped certification for the jewelry. What actually happened? They sent me a tracking number showing a package delivered to a door that isn’t even mine. The FedEx photo is clearly a completely different property. No signature required, no confirmation, nothing. They simply checked a box and expected me to accept it.

Every time I asked for clarity, the story changed. They are the greatest gas lighters in history! They blamed the ship staff. Then they blamed “company policy.” Then they blamed DocuSign. Then they blamed me. At no point did anyone take accountability for the inconsistent paperwork, the nonexistent certification, or the constant misrepresentations.

Their customer service is rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to address the facts. Today, I was told by Gregory M that they “no longer wish to engage” — which is an incredible stance to take after months of providing misleading information and failing to resolve anything.

Diamonds International behaves like a company hoping customers will give up out of exhaustion. They hide behind fake policies, inconsistent documents, and empty promises. They absolutely do not operate with integrity, honesty, or basic accountability.

I am now pursuing remedies through Disney Cruise Line Legal, Disney Corporate, the Florida Attorney General, and my financial institution. No one should ever have to fight this hard over something that should have been simple and straightforward.

DO NOT BUY from Diamonds International.
Not on a cruise ship.
Not in port.
Not anywhere.

Protect your money — and your sanity — by staying far, far away from this company.

Please do NOT purchase anything from…

Please do NOT purchase anything from this company. They are a scam business. Their jewelry is very cheaply made. I bought a diamond ring for over $11,000.within a week the big diamond fell off. I contacted customer service and they told me I can only get store credit. The company website states if less than 30 days you can get a complete refund. Customer service is not helpful at all. Long story short go to zales or Jared’s. This company deserves to go bankrupt.

There is a reason these peeps have such…

There is a reason these peeps have such a low review. they are a high-pressure outfit that know you are on a boat and having a great time and not particularly looking for jewelry. So they try every tactic to sell you cheap, overpriced junk.

Also, know that they do not have a return policy-only exchange or credit. I wonder why! any legit jeweler will let you return your purchase for a refund for a certain period if you are not happy.

These people took advantage of my SO. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU . DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

Friendly and Welcoming Aruba Shop

We found the shop and staff very welcoming and friendly especially Rocky who help us find a beautiful bracelet.
We visited this shop a number of years ago and were very pleased with the service that we received and that is why we decided to re-visit.

Diamonds International: A Review of Deceptive Business Practices

Diamonds International: A Review of Deceptive Business Practices

The deceptive and fraudulent practices employed by Diamonds International compel me to share my experience to caution others about purchasing jewelry from this retailer.

During my dealings with Diamonds International in Honduras, I encountered numerous red flags regarding their sales tactics, product quality, and customer service. The lack of transparency surrounding their refund policy is particularly alarming. Initially, after having the jewelry appraised I was informed that there was no refund policy, only to later be told it applied solely to diamonds—a claim that is unsupported by the written policy on the back of the receipt, which makes no such distinction. This inconsistency is not only misleading but also undermines customer trust.

One of the most troubling aspects of my experience involves the appraisal of a bracelet purchased from Diamonds International. The company’s referred appraiser highlighted significant concerns about the bracelet, including:

The presence of an inclusion in one stone commonly found in flux-grown synthetic Alexandrite

Inconsistencies in the Alexandrite coloring

These findings cast serious doubt on the authenticity of the stones, contradicting the sales team’s assurances that they were high-quality, natural Alexandrites sourced from Russia. The appraiser indicated that further testing, which could not be performed due to the jewelry’s mounting, would be necessary to confirm whether the stones were indeed natural. Despite these findings, Diamonds International failed to adequately address this concern.

When I presented the appraisal report along with an email from the appraiser, including concerns about a potentially synthetic stone, Diamonds International’s response was dismissive. They stated:
“After further reviewing the appraisal presented, our appraisal experts determined that your request for a refund is not approved, as the only discrepancy presented and found in it is the value of the items.”
This response ignored the appraiser’s findings about the possibility of a synthetic stone and other quality issues, further highlighting the company’s unwillingness to take accountability.

Additional issues arose with other items purchased on Royal Caribbean Diamonds International, including Alexandrite earrings, a Alexandrite necklace, and a tanzanite ring:

Alexandrite Earrings and Necklace: The appraiser noted inconsistencies in the Alexandrite coloring, with weaker coloration affecting the grading and overall value. One earring had a fracture, and multiple stones showed visible abrasions, diminishing their quality.

Tanzanite Ring: The ring exhibited minor abrasions on the gemstone’s girdle, unusual for a newly purchased item. The appraiser also identified porosity (microscopic holes) in the metal mounting beneath the center stone—an issue attributed to poor casting that could lead to structural concerns over time.

Despite these documented issues, communication with Diamonds International and their Royal Caribbean branch has been inadequate. For the ring, earrings and necklace purchased on the ship, I have received only a case number with no further follow-up.

Royal Caribbean Diamonds International’s failure to address quality concerns, misleading refund policy, and dismissive responses to appraiser findings suggest a troubling pattern of deceptive business practices. I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before purchasing from this company.

Transparency, accountability, and quality are essential in the jewelry industry—qualities that my experience with Diamonds International has shown to be lacking.

DO NOT BUY FROM DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL

Bought a tanzanite bracelet on the Disney cruise ship. It was listed at a very high price and I ended up with a “huge” manager discount of $2300. Unfortunately the bracelet fell off my wrist 3 times but luckily was able to find it afterwards. The thing that is extremely upsetting is, I took the bracelet for an appraisal and the appraised value is $520….I then researched about tanzanite tennis bracelet online along with the company Diamond International. Please do not ignore the negative reviews as you can find lots of similar all over the internet. They are know for scamming people with overpriced or faulty items. I’ve tried contacting Disney to return the bracelet with no help but sent running in circles. Now I’m trying to dispute it with my credit card company which is also all kinds of circles and hoops. So be aware and AVOID them unless you’re happy to pay up to 4x or more on an item. Even Nordstrom sells an EFFY tanzanite bracelet for $500. Ridiculous.

Authentic purchase

Recently, me and my husband went on a Carnival cruise and one of our itinerary was Cozumel, Mexico. Our cruise personnel recommended Diamond International for a jewelry shopping.
In short, I bought a Crown of Light ring that really fascinated me because of it’s unique sparkle. The sales person I was dealing with was Alberto Escobedo he was so attentive and hardworking man.But because of her selling prowess I was able to purchase the ring on a deferred payments.
When I came back from a cruise I made my research and have read some bad reviews about the product. So just recently i decided to have the jewelry appraised to an individual appraiser a certified gemologist.I received the report and I was so happy that the appraisal report was verified and valued a little higher than the cost of the item.
Now,I have a peace of mind.
I gave 5 star honest review on this due to the fact that the item was authentic, has value on it’s own and the company is trustworthy.Hope that they will maintain the confidence and trust of their customers to serve more.

I brought a pair of earrings

I brought a pair of earrings, at the end of the day and had to rush to the ship. It wasn’t until I was on the ship and went to wear them that I noticed that one of them doesn’t close properly and are way to expensive to wear in case it got lost. On my return I email customer services, and they responded saying of course they will help. They sent my questions which I answered straight away and I have not received any reply. I have email them 3 times in the last 2 weeks and no reply. Customer service is so bad they are not there.

I am amazed at some of the reviews…

I am amazed at some of the reviews here. Diamonds International I find to be an amazing company. My wife and I have purchased more than 12 items from them. We love each one and feel we received a fair price. We have been to over 10 Locations of DI and each has given great service. I had a problem at one location, I called and informed them and was offered a discount or total refund on the purchase. The "Crown Of Light" is an amazing cut, I find it gives more sparkle than any I have ever seen. Many of the sales staff were instrumental in making our purchase a Memory we will have for the rest of our lives. This is a place you need to go for any jewelry want.

Do not try to buy any Crown of Light…

Do not try to buy any Crown of Light Diamonds from any branch. And if you are on a Celebrity Ship and the shopping guide tells you that you get a major discount at these stores because they are backed by Celebrity... beware! DI does not ever give you a statement of value for your diamond. They instead provide you with a statement showing that the value is what you purchased it for. The only way to argue with them is to have the item appraised by one of their appraisers (who of course, are going to appraise it at your purchase price). I was told my diamond bracelet was worth $10,000 and that I was getting a great deal at $8900. Alas.... it is now only valued"$8900" according to them and..... any other appraiser would only value it at about $5000. It's a real scam!

Be careful where you buy these…

Be careful where you buy these products.
Avoid the Classic Group in Valletta as they sell damaged goods.
Even when they acknowledge the product is damaged they only give you a credit note and not a full refund.
