Extremely incompetent, racist, xenophobic and nationalistic

Extremely incompetent, racist, xenophobic, nationalistic company. The website pretends to have an english option but immediately reverts back to german. Impossible to contact customer service unless you speak fluent german. Always fumbles and fails to deliver packages. These are their core values. Someone should sue them. We should all boycott DHL.

DHL picked up a DHL Express parcel

DHL picked up a DHL Express parcel. DHL says they cannot track the parcel and refuse to contact DHL which they say is a separate company. Of course we still have to pay the expensive pick-up (which never happened or they showed up super late) and the parcel worth 5000 Euros is lost.

One star is far too positiv. It should be a minus star. Our parcel is sitting at the airport in Frankfurt now for 16 days and it is not being moved. DHL ist the worst we have experienced in parcel service.

Utterly nonsense delivery company - A nightmare

Utterly nonsense delivery company . It hasnt just happened one time, but they never cant make their delivery to my address ! For every delivery i scheduled i was waiting at home , they never rang the bell , and said the delivery attempt was unsuccessful? That’s so ridiculous! I had to bring a fridge from a pick up point , when i dont even have a car myself! complained several times .It was pure harassment ! But none helped ! Their customer service is the most rubbish in the country. They should just give up ! I freak out when i see DHL is going to deliver my packages!

Liars

Simillar as another review here, my package was supposed to be delivered today, so I was waiting for it, and using the live track, showing it still didn’t start it’s way towards me. Only to get a notification saying the courrier couldn’t deliver the package because I was not at home, but I was waiting for it. I didn’t hear anyone drive up, didn’t get any notifications at all, no note left, no phone call, nothing. I am waiting for a medication and now I have to go pick it up, but I can not move from an injury. Why did I pay for the delivery if in the end I have to pick it up myself again?

Dangerous Delivery

My John Lewis parcel arrived at 11.43
Time quoted 12.31-1.31
Just as well I was in

My parcel contained 3 individual packs with 2 sets of glasses in each
These 3 boxes had bubble wrap around each individual box within the outer box
The main box was very well packaged with a lot of protection

The box left JL in perfect condition and on receipt to my door the box looked like it had been on a trip around the World

The very first set of 2 glasses I picked up from the box was light and these glasses are a very thick Crystal yet they were broken to smithereens
I left the box of glasses in tact as not to cause injury to myself
I had no protective gloves that would have protected me against slicing my hands

The box looked worse for wear and it’s either been thrown about or something very heavy has been on top of it

I had a very frustrating experience…

I had a very frustrating experience with DHL due to a lack of accommodation for non-German speakers.
An Amazon parcel addressed to me was delivered to a DHL Packstation without clear explanation. I am not registered with DHL and did not receive a pickup code. Only afterward did I learn that accessing a Packstation requires prior registration, a Postnummer, identity verification, and use of the Post & DHL app, none of which was clearly communicated in English.

As a non-German speaker, I found the process extremely confusing. Instructions and notifications were either unclear or available only in German, and there was no warning that I would be unable to collect my parcel without completing multiple prerequisite steps. This resulted in unnecessary stress, wasted time, and the likely return of my package.
Germany is home to many international residents, and DHL is a global logistics company. I really wish DHL accommodated customers in English more clearly, especially for systems like Packstations that are not intuitive and require advance registration.

DHL delivery was disappointing

Really disappointed with DHL’s service. I requested delivery to my home address, but they put my package in a Packstation instead—without properly delivering it. What makes it worse is that this isn’t the first time. I’ve been at home and available, yet they still keep doing the same thing and redirecting my parcels as if no one’s there. It feels lazy and incredibly inconvenient. If I wanted to pick it up myself, I wouldn’t choose home delivery in the first place.

DHL has lost my package and refuse any action

My package was given to DHL on 6/7 January 2026, and as of 20th January no action has been taken to ship the parcel.
I have tried to get some attention from DHL but they refuse to take any action because apparently I have contacted the wrong helpdesk. I have written to the CEO, but he has ignored me for 4 days.
I will be contacting my credit card to get the money back, and will not now use any shop which sends packages via DHL.

ABSOLUTELY DISLIKE THIS

so basically my package was supposed to be delivered on monday, january 19. i was waiting for it, and at 8:28 am i got a notification saying the courier couldn’t deliver it because i was NOT at home?? but i WAS at home. i didn’t get any notifications at all, no note left, no phone call, even though my number is attached. and in the end they immediately sent it back to the sender?? what the heck is this, why did they send it back right away without even trying to send it to a pickup point, i would have picked it up because i DESPERATELY needed the item i ordered. i DONT LIKE this postal service, it’s absolute nonsense and garbage

Keep All Receipts of Packages being turned over to DHL

I took an 18 kg package to DHL in Ramstein-Miesenbach on 11 November 2025 and after 5 working days the package had not moved from DHL Ramstein. I went to the post and asked why the package had not moved. The only answer they could give me was I will have to go online and make a complaint. To me this is a big flaw in DHL and should be changed. I give them my money for postage and trusted them to deliver my package to its destination. If something has gone wrong it should be them going online or ever where they need to go and telling me what has happened to my package not me having to log a compliant. Also on the DHL site I cannot find a place to leave a review for them. This should also be change, otherwise how will they ever improve if they don't hear from their customers? My package was lost, stolen, or threw away, who knows what happened to it. DHL sure doesn't. The package has 500 euro of insurance on it by default. But they don't tell you to claim the insurance you must have receipts of what is in the box otherwise no insurance. This is another flaw that could be corrected, they could tell you to make sure you keep the receipts in order to make a claim. The sad thing about my package is it had no tracking information of ever leaving Ramstein DHL Post but after 2 months they have finally contacted the people in Italy in which the package was sent and asked if they received the package. To me this is a little dumb since there is no tracking information of the package ever leaving DHL Ramstein Post. It seems to be a delay tactic to keep from doing anything about losing my package. DHL could do many things better; a few I have mentioned and I hope they will take heed and start putting customers first instead of last. It would seem the government would step in and start holding employees to standards or else.

If it was possible to give minus Stars…

If it was possible to give minus Stars I would have! Besides the tracking update stopping after a few days and still not having received my parcel (from Germany to Ireland! Not the moon!)after more than 2 weeks, I have to say the DHL tracking/ investigating tool being based on a german post code is quite honestly super idiotic! Hello 👋🏻DHL ever heard of other countries not having a post code like Germany?!
And it doesn't look as if there is anyone working in their complaints department either!
The Deutsche Post should seriously consider using a different courier provider!
Update! I finally received my parcel👏🏻! After only 19 days!
I'm not sure if my email to complaints.dhl at dhl.com helped but it's worth a try for any parcel not received outside of Germany!

Since last Thursday

Since last Thursday, DHL has been constantly postponing my delivery date. It's already been postponed twice, and I'm still waiting in vain and hopelessly for my item. They should just shut that place down; they only hire unqualified employees who can't even speak the language properly.

Trash company

Trash company. They never give you your parcel. Sometimes you have to use the app to receive it from a packet station. The app is not supported properly by iphones. When I needed to send a document with verification, they always say that they didn't find me. I had to call them every 15 minutes to tell them I am at home when are they going to come, you can't say you didn't find me. When they came they didn't ask for an ID. Everything with this company is a joke.

Liars and thieves…

Concerning dhl express package no. 8125722054

So far, you have been 2 months, delivering an express package with live and rare plants. These plants are probably around 1.000 years old combined, and they just sit in some dhl office. What is going on?

My last e-mail was completely ignored. If you don’t respond asap to this e-mail, we will have, to forward this case to the german police.

Are there any adults present?

They are a trash company.

They are a trash company.. I have never seen worse than them..
They give you a time line when they are gonna drop your item
You wait for them.. at some point you can no longer see them live!
It says only 2 stops..

Then hours passes with nothing..
Then you receive a message.. that it will be delivered on another day!

Just trash! Trash company…
And I am based in Germany..

More than 20 time I have moment when I be at home and get paper we cannot give your package personal so we drop it to post filial
What? And it's okey but when I send another person take my packet with my pass photo they just say we cannot give it without physical pass
