Mistakes happen. There was an error on their website which meant the incorrect price was charged for the frame and mattress I ordered and delivery was also not added to the total. This all could have been rectified with a polite phone call from the shop, however, the staff member who called me accused me of causing the problem "I don't know how you've managed to do that" and the later also called me to tell me I would have to pay £30 cash in hand to the delivery driver "all independents do this". (They definitely don't. Lots of places charge delivery but it's paid for by card beforehand so there's a receipt). I would have continued with the order as the bed frame was really nice, but the way I was spoken to was rude, I was talked over continually and not listened to. What a shame, I think the beds are nice.

I was impressed by the choice of beds and the quality of them. The prices were very good compared to the other bed shops. It was delivered with a small black mark on the base where I phoned them to advise them but I also explained to them that it was minor and that I would be happy to accept it anyway but wanted to just let them know. They were however insistent on replacing it for me which they did to my convenience. It's good to see that there is still a company out there that cares about there customers and want to get things right. Needless to say I will be going back in the future

I purchased a Harrisons pocket sprung bed which was delivered in August. Since this we have both been sleeping very well as we find it so comfortable. The sales assistant at the Devon Bed Centre was extremely knowledgeable and you could just tell he was talking sense and not just trying to sell you the most expensive bed as they were in the other bed centre we visited. We received great advise and had the ability to test out a variety of suitable beds and we feel we made a good decision with the bed we bought and by buying from the Devon Bed Centre. Overall the level of service, variety of beds and low prices make it a great bed centre, If your struggling to sleep it is definitely worth buying a decent bed, we wish we did it years ago!

After deciding it was finally time for a new bed the wife and I headed over to Marsh Barton as a friend recommended the Devon bed centre. The chap in the shop was very knowledgeable and explained what all the different types of mattress do. I must admit I know very little! We spent a good hour trying different types and settled with a foam mattress that is apparently good for backs.

What a difference a mattress makes. It is a real struggle to drag myself from bed in the mornings now! I only wish we'd done it sooner. Delivery was sorted in two weeks (a week less than we were expecting) and we actually spent less than we were planning. Very happy and would buy again without hesitation.

We bought a very expensive mattress from Devon Bed Centre; we chose the mattress partly due to the hype on the manufacturers website and partly the shop encouraging us to choose it. It was the most expensive mistake we have ever made. Even though we lay on it in the shop for quite a while - it's no real indication to if it will suit you. There was no help from the staff as to whether it would suit us or not in the long run. After a weeks sleep it became apparent that the mattress was much too firm (even though it was a "medium"), after a couple of weeks we were in agony with back pain. We realised then we had made a mistake in choosing the Devon Bed Centre as other Exeter bed shops offer a trial with the option to swap. We asked if they would as a gesture of goodwill - but they would not. We are now left with a mattress costing almost £1,000 that we cannot use and a very empty wallet.

I woke up this morning after a great nights sleep again and decided to write a quick review. I bought a new Harrisons king size bed from the Devon Bed Centre which was delivered in December and since sleeping on it I have slept well every night as it is so comfy. My Husband and I are both really happy with it. The advice we were given was very good from them and we highly recommend this company and in particular the Harrisons Portofino bed. Excellent.

Visited Devon Bed Centre on the Marsh Barton Trading estate, as an alternative to the larger companies being that we had already felt conned by Dreams also in Exeter. We told the salesman on the day of our Mattress purchase, that we needed a Soft feel mattress. We were shown a few that day starting with a cheaper 1 working upwards of prices, until finally showing interest in what the salesman considered a "Quality" mattress! This mattress is known to us as, a Valencia 1000 made by a less known company Highgate. The mattress we were told at the time was of a soft feel and the 1 in the shop we would be inclined to agree. However, a couple weeks after taken delivery of our new mattress, we noticed fast deterioration leading to an even harder surface, feeling the springs poking through, it would appear to of lost any memory foam benefit within a very short space of time. Ultimately, leading to a guaranteed bad back EVERY morning! We made a special trip to the Devon bed centre to be sure that the 1 in the shop felt different and sure enough it did. However, after telling store manager that this mattress was not fit for purpose, both in store and via email, we were (yes you guessed right) faced with opposition as in, nothing wrong with it same as the shop model and a rather bossy manner to add to that. In fact after being put off from a personal visit from the store manager, on a few occasions, he finally arrived un announced! I am not able to advise you where to go to buy a bed or mattress, but be very careful when purchasing from this company.
