Radiant heater cracked window

I bought an indoor/outdoor radiant heater in November and installed it, according to the instructions. There was no mention of keeping a given distance away from glazing, only a minimum of 20cms from ceiling. I left double that distance from a Velux skylight with the heater facing away from it.
The inner pane of glass is now cracked full width. The company have acknowledged that there is no warning to avoid this in the instructions but say it can happen. The company won’t accept me returning it because 3 months have passed but the heater is not fit for purpose and I’ve now got glazing to replace. Consequently do not recommend their products or service

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and the damage to your skylight.

You are correct that the installation instructions specify minimum clearances from ceilings but do not currently include specific guidance regarding proximity to glazing. While radiant heaters emit directional heat that can, in some circumstances, cause thermal stress to glass surfaces, we appreciate that this may not have been clear from the documentation provided, however it is quite standard practice.

That said, radiant heaters operate by directly heating surfaces within their path, and glass — particularly roof glazing — can be susceptible to thermal stress if exposed to concentrated heat over time. For this reason, we always advise positioning heaters so that their output is not directed toward glazing or other temperature-sensitive materials.

Regarding the return request, our standard returns policy applies to unused items within the specified timeframe. As the heater was installed and used for several months, it falls outside of that policy. However, we are reviewing our installation guidance to ensure clearer information is provided going forward.

We regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate your feedback.

Great value, Very efficient panel heaters

I now have 4 panel heaters, 2 for caravan and 2 for home. They are very efficient, easily controlled and the mobile option is very easy to set up and use so I can select temperature and running mode from anywhere - a great boon. Excellent value for money and I would recommend looking at these heaters for their truly excellent value.

Fabulous experience all round

So after a recommendation from a friend I ordered 3 of the smart heaters. They were with me the very next day all in working order and after working through the instructions I cannot stress enough how happy I am with my purchase. Great product fabulous look to the finish and really have made a difference to my electricity bills and how I can control immediately the heat in a room.

Puts profit before customer service

Put profit before customer service, won’t accept returns
False Marketing claims:
SAY: Alexa and Google home enabled BUT "do not use unattended or when house empty"
SAY: for modern interiors and office spaces BUT "only for domestic use"
SAY Slimline but brackets increase depth by 25% = bulky

Additionally using their brackets leave the bottom of the radiator loose and not secured (can be pulled away from wall / knocked by kids etc)

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you feel this way, and I’d like to clarify a few points as some of the concerns you’ve raised seem to come from misunderstandings rather than issues with the product itself.

The heaters can absolutely be used in modern interiors, home offices, and workspaces. The only restriction is that they are not suitable for industrial or heavy‑duty commercial environments, which require different safety certifications. Normal domestic and office use is completely fine.

The units are compatible with Alexa and Google Home. The guidance about not leaving heaters “unattended for extended periods” is standard safety advice across the industry. Customers use smart functions at their own discretion, but we still provide safety information as required.

The brackets were tested during manufacturing to ensure they are safe and stable when installed correctly.

We're more than happy to accept unsuitable returns while in the 14 days return period, if you require any further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Lovely heater, great service

Lovely little heater for our walk in wardrobe which is normally always cold. Also have one in my son’s bedroom in addition to his radiator as the windy days seem to steal heat from his room. Once we decided he was keeping it we needed another for my wardrobe. Ordered it before I went to sleep and it arrived before I came home from work the next day. Fabulous service. The heater itself is very easy to use small and compact and smart. It’s also smart in the sense you can use your Alexa. When gas and electricity prices are so similar like they are now, electrical heaters are an economical and you don’t have to pay for a Plumber or drain the system down.

Your instruction booklet is printed so…

Your instruction booklet is printed so small I can see the instructions or the app upload information. I therefore can’t use the product except manually.
Manually the fires are great and just two have standing egg bed my home into a warm welcoming space, but I have no idea how to use them. Thank you for retaining some mystery in a world of modern criminality against soul, goods and love.

Wish I’d bought this sooner. 5 stars

Bought a Devola 12l dehumidifier with a bit of trepidation on whether it would actually be effective or not. I don’t have mould or damp in my house but it always feels damp. Placed in my bedroom first night and the humidity % read 77. By the morning reduced to 62% humidity and 2 pints of water in the tank. Every day I put it somewhere else in the house and it’s been collecting various amounts of water. I honestly wish I had bought this earlier. Not only has it brought the humidity in my house to the recommended level but the air also feels fresher and the rooms warmer.
