Exceeded expectations

Having read the few reviews left I was nervous about buying from Delta. However, my experience couldn't have been more different. The static caravan is brilliant and we are thrilled with it. Ok, there were a few things that needed sorting on delivery. What makes a company great is how they deal with it. Sally, in Delta aftercare, has been brilliant. The problems were inspected, repairs approved and visit booked in. All within a month. That is pretty good in my books. So in summary, great static caravan, brilliant aftercare and a person who genuinely seems to care. Well done!!!

Delta and Oaktree CUSTOMER SERVICE - No where near as good as advertised

We bought and paid the asking price of a Delta Oaktree lodge, with wet room and wider doors. We used Sunrise Holiday Homes and visited in Essex to look over a unit. The purchase, delivery was exceptional. We were full of praise for the arrangements, like clockwork, no worries on this score. We initially enquired about the insulation, which is advertised as especially "Winterised" and specifically asked about year round living. But unfortunately there were large gaps in the "extra" insulation underneath. The Shower wet room floor had "bubbles" where the installation was inadequate.
Despite having central heating on all the time, the occupant is elderly lady with dementia, the first sign of frost and we froze up. Understandable as it's a very cold snap. But the central heating broke down in the night and within 1 hour the temp dropped to below 4 or 5 degrees from the minimum 17 degrees we felt safe for the occupier. That showed the lack of heat retention. We reported the "bubbles" in shower floor in June when we received the lodge. We reported the poorly installed insulation too... 2 local flooring companies refused to work on the floor, as I insisted it was done to the original design, not patched up. This was considered rude and in my opinion, they refused because the job was very difficult to do as a repair to the original manufacturing design. At nearly 6 months Sunrise have not been able to help, they keep referring to Delta, surely, they are the supplier, and boast of a special relationship ! So now we have real doubts about their claim that this is suitable for all year round use ! The boiler central heating was a fault code not covered by the warranty [now there's a surprise]. In my opinion, this lodge is advertised way beyond it's capabilities. We just wanted it to do what it says and is it too much to pay £47k and have issues unresolved. Imagine a new car arriving with bubbles on the leather upholstery and poor insulation. TAKE MY ADVISE, IF YOU HAVE THE BUDGET AND THE TIME look elsewhere for higher standard HOUSING SPEC units, not the Delta Oaktree for year round use. See full report on flickr.
HAD 9 MONTHS SINGLE OCCUPANCY AND NOW FOR SALE - As these issues aside it's an alternative to care home at least £1,100 a WEEK !

Delta breach of GDPR

I intended to buy a lodge from Delta caravans via a park manager Liv Lodges. I spoke to Gary at Delta sales and explained my position, asking about warranties, longevity, and market price.
Later that day I was emailed from Liv Lodges returning my holding deposit with no explanation. I conclude Delta had not treated my conversation in confidence and had gone straight back to liv Liv Lodges. I consider this a breach of GDPR and will be taking this up with data protection regulators. Having also read the reviews on the Delta quality sounds like I've had a lucky escape. But I question the business integrity of both these businesses.

Not impressed with delta at all

Not impressed with delta at all , bought a delta caravan through a third party retailer when the caravan was delivered , the oven door , had not been secured shut ,every thing else was but that had been missed and on delivery it was smashed to pieces and I mean smashed into thousands of tiny glass particles which were everywhere , it was reported on the day of delivery , obviously it was deltas fault as they had not secured the door , but they blamed the company we bought the caravan through as they had not done a pdi check within 7 days and not reported it ,which I did understand, but obviously delta had not done a check either as they would of seen it was not secured shut , no one wanted to take responsibility at all we had to pay for our own oven door and then had to wait 7 weeks for delivery from delta for it , so we were without an oven door for nearly 4 months , and the glass we have hoovered and swept and still glass keeps appearing we couldn’t risk the grandchildren in it for weeks due the the glass , it took forever to clean up , you don’t expect to have to do that with a brand new caravan before you can stay in it , a few other small things that we didn’t even bother to report after the oven door experience

Delta caravans not good quality, save your money

I brought a delta caravan a couple of years back, like to say, these caravans are cheap and not very well made, I had to have shower tray changed as not fitted property when new, sink in bathroom was not fitted property and leaked, the bedrooms could do with more space as small and makes it terrible for space of getting in and out of bed, the small bedroom , well the beds are only 2 ft wide, and to top it all I asked about the wall paper , I needed some as the wall paper will come off as if you put anything up on walls , well, the cost of the delivery was over £30 and the wall paper about £12, you would honestly think they would try and find a cheaper courier for there customers and not charge this ridiculous price for delivery, but overall, I would save your money on buying a delta caravan as you don't get much for your money,

Bought a brand new cabin direct from…

Bought a brand new cabin direct from the site manager who purchased it new from Delta Caravans. From the start there were issues. None of the protective plastic on the interior doors had been removed. Gave up waiting for them to fix it, so we spent hours removing it ourselves. Also the day we moved in we noticed four of the lights weren't working. Ended up having to get an electrician out, who said the outside lights had never been wired in properly. Had to replace all the bulbs at our expense. Then the front door dropped leaving a 2" gap along the top. Again, they told both the site manager and us several times that they would call and see what could be done. No-one ever did. So with the site manager's help we managed to fix it. Worst of all we then noticed that the 3 large picture windows were pulling the screws out of the frame and couldn't be opened. Same story Delta Caravans didn't want to know, so we got a window expert out who said that they had exceeded the maximum size of window that could be side hung. He replaced the windows and hinges at our expense and we now have holes all along the window frames of our home which is only just a year old. The cabin came with a 6 month warranty, but Delta Caravans waited until we were outside of that and told us in November that they now didn't have to do anything to help. Despite reminding them about the Consumer Rights Act where they have to prove there isn't a problem, all our registered letters and calls go unanswered. It seems that this is the way this company behave having read other reviews. Despicable and dishonest behaviour. AVOID!
