One of the worst International Airlines. left me hanging at the Paris airport along with the rest of the plane ful of passengers from 1500 until 0300. Never again!

This is how I was robbed twice
This is how I was robbed twice—first by South Africa and Delta Airlines, then by South Africa again, along with the U.S. government and Boomerang Carnet. Consider this a warning before you get a carnet. I had a job in South Africa filming and, trying to do everything properly, I got a carnet for my camera gear. I went through the process as an independent contractor, without the backing or resources of a larger company. When I arrived in South Africa and went to baggage claim, I discovered that my gear had been stolen. Half of my equipment was missing from my cases. Somewhere along the journey—most likely in Johannesburg—my bags were broken into and the gear was taken. What followed was an exhausting process: filing a police report, reporting the incident to Delta, and working with customs officials to determine which items never made it into the country. The response from South African authorities was minimal at best—it took significant effort just to get basic acknowledgment. When I left the country a week later, I again explained the situation and received a stamp of approval on the carnet reflecting the missing items. Fast forward two years, and I receive an email from Boomerang Carnet and a U.S. government representative stating that I owed South Africa money for items that “never left the country.” I explained that these items had been stolen—and may not have even entered South Africa in the first place. In the end, I was told I had to pay or be sent to collections. I ended up paying for gear that had already been stolen from me—effectively being robbed twice. The U.S. government will not step in to protect you, Boomerang Carnet will not advocate for you, and Delta will take no responsibility—even though the bags were in their care.
Rude and Unfriendly Staff
We travelled on a domestic flight with Delta Airlines, and the staff’s behaviour was very rude and unfriendly. The staff at the check-in counter asked us to contact the team at the gate. However, when we approached the gate staff, her behaviour was unprofessional. She informed us that the flight was full, even though we could still see available seats on the website. She then walked away without responding to our concerns.
Very disappointing experience — we won’t be flying with Delta Airlines again!
Delay with no reason!!
Delay with no reason!!
And they keep saying due to weather where the weather is very good and sunny here in LGA!!
Taxing for an hour and they never update the passenger what's going on!
I never fly with their airline again!

If you are in zone 7-8 which is usually rows that are included in your rate with Delta, be aware you WILL be forced to check in your checked bag. Making you wait for the luggage at the arrival.
Worst experience (JACKSONVILLE, Florida)
When I arrived at the check-in counter with my husband and daughter I was asked for my identification so I handed the woman who was there all 3 of our passports since it’s an international flight and was immediately given attitude of you have to take them out of the covers(my first time that I purchased a cover so I was unaware) but it sets the tone for the interaction. After that I was asked for the credit card that I used to purchase the tickets. In which I replied I had to have that card replaced from my bank a week before this flight. She said you have to have the card or we can’t give you the tickets. I have flown 5 times to Morocco and have never been asked for my card. I have flown with multiple airlines and never been asked until this day. I told her I can show her my bank statements on my account that shows the purchase with that card but she said no we would have to refund the amount in which it would take up to 5 days or so to get back to my card and I would have to repurchase the tickets with another card. In which I replied I don’t have almost $3000 in an account right now to repurchase these tickets so are you telling me that I have to cancel my 15 day vacation and lose my money because the tickets are non refundable according to the website. She said we need the card you used. I was about to start crying in the airport because this was the trip I placed so my 8 month old daughter could meet her other grandparents and family. The woman was absurdly rude from the beginning and after speaking to 2 managers finally they were able to take my bank statements as enough proof that I purchased these tickets a month and a half prior. Not to mention that when I purchased the tickets I had to call them specifically for infant in arms ticket at 10% of my ticket cost and I had to buy the tickets first to POSSIBLY ADD MY CHILD no guarantees for non refundable tickets. Never again Delta will you get my money.
Do not even think of buying a ticket…
Do not even think of buying a ticket from Delta, they have one off the worst if not the worst customer service.Bought ticket 2 months before my flight and a week before my , check my reservation to my surprise it was cancelled and didn’t get and email or a call to let me know. Call support and was told i will be issued a refund, when flight prices have doubled within this period. They said that’s all they could do. Like really, what a shame will never use delta again.
Delta plummets in service and standards
Not sure what happened to Delta Airlines. But they are now being relegated to the level of United Airlines, maybe even lower. They're horrible.
They changed aircraft and rebooked my seats. They downgraded me from Comfort+ to Basic and never told me. They separated us so my husband and I were not sitting together anymore. Oh, and NO NOTICE was given.
I asked to be put together and so far, it's been 1.5 hours on with the chat support. I with I could cancel my flight but thanks to them, I'm stuck in this hole and paid $2,000 for tickets.

I had a $601 eCredit with Delta that I lost due to misinformation and technical issues on their end.
The expiration date was NOT clearly listed in my email, so I called to confirm and was told it expired April 5. I tried to book before that date, but their system would not apply my credit. I also had issues accessing my account and wasn’t receiving follow-up emails from their reps.
After making multiple attempts to use my credit, I was told nothing could be done and was directed to file a complaint.
So let me get this straight: I lose $601 because of incorrect information and system errors on THEIR side? Completely unacceptable.
Be very careful booking with Delta and relying on their eCredits. If something goes wrong, don’t expect accountability.
I will be escalating this further and sharing my experience until it’s resolved.
Don't Fly Delta!
Delta canceled my family's flight the night before our travel, after I had checked us in. An hour later, I get a text saying that our flight was canceled and there was no options for another flight. I had to scramble and pay premium prices on Hawaiian/Alaska Air. Don't fly Delta. They will screw you like that!
Delta has ruined 100% of my trips booked with them
I have flown with delta twice. Both times I booked first class. Both times they canceled my flights, both times they rebooked me in main class. Both times they completely ruined my travel plans and offered me nothing. They are a bunch of hacks. Their first class is joke, they’re overpriced, unreliable, and their customer service is awful
Extremely disappointed with Delta’s…
Extremely disappointed with Delta’s handling of my case.
My carry-on bag was recovered and handed directly to Delta staff after another passenger mistakenly took it. Delta employee Billy Joe confirmed the bag was received and shipped internally through Delta back to JFK.
Since then, the bag has disappeared while under Delta’s custody.
For over a month, Delta has refused to properly investigate and keeps sending generic responses treating this as a checked baggage claim—even though it was NOT checked baggage.
They have ignored the actual facts, failed to investigate their own internal handling process, and provided zero meaningful assistance.
This bag contained valuable personal and business property, and Delta’s negligence has caused significant damage to my work and finances.
Very disappointing customer service and complete lack of accountability.

Horrible Service
Did not get any food on an international flight. For context i am a vegetarian, and I checked the menu beforehand and saw there were vegetarian options for both meals. So I did not call ahead to make sure I had a vegetarian meal. So I understand, I could call to ensure the meal. In the future I will make sure to do this. The one star is for how rudely i was treated by staff. First, during meal service my row was skipped over (if I wasnt there would have been a vegetarian option left still because the people sitting in the row across recieved pasta) Then when I went to politely let them know we were skipped over, the flight attendant with the drink cart said "she is getting you drinks." Before even hearing that we didnt get food or what my concern was. When i said no sorry i didnt get my food order they did bring back the food cart, however by then there were no more vegetarian options. Instead of apologizing for skipping over my section, they said "well you need to let the airline know." Which fair, But they really didnt have to be so rude. Especially, since they messed up by skipping the row. Then they ensured me there would be snacks and things coming later in the flight and they never came around. I will not be flying delta again.

Tim Fields and Dylan Holmquist manages the SLC airport customer service and they are the worst managers I’ve ever come across. They can’t seem to get things in order and can’t work together in any way shape or form. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life before! No wonder why Delta airlines is the poorest performing airline in the industry!
Nightmare airline
Nightmare airline. Constant delays. Shortage of pilots. You just sit in the tarmac for 45 mins past your departure time every single time. Ridiculous will never be flying here again
Knee scootet
Super broke my foot. I've been on a knee scooter for over a month now. Took a trip to Cali. They were really helpful accommodating my knee scooter.
Delta is a winner
I fly Delta when it is affordable because of the comfort, cleanliness, friendly staff, and in flight benefits. Recently I was on a Delta flight out of Atlanta. It was a Boing 717, flight number 828. As we taxied the runway everything seemed ok although a bit more wobbly than I am used to. As we left the runway there was a loud and unusual nose accompanied by a big thump you could feel inside the plane. Our flight was then interesting due to changing elevation up and down for some time. In addition there was not a consistent travel speed. As I expected would happen we turned around. What I didn't expect was the full emergency landing. With 115 souls on board or Captain explained in a calm and assured manner what we were facing. A good portion of passengers were noticably scared however there was very little panic. We hit the runway not knowing just how serious things could get. Within seconds of being nearly stopped emergency vehicles had us surrounded and secure. The emergency response was stellar. Our plane was towed to the gate for unloading. Delta made sure that we all have snacks, beverages, and meal vouchers while we waited for a replacement aircraft. I believe our pilots were masters and God had a hand on the wheel. 5 stars to the Delta staff. #delta#adventures w/nita#hartsfield-jackson airport #Google reviews
Horrible customer service
Small plane, delays, AC issues, etc.
This airline gets 1 star and not 0 because of what is exactly the same to other airlines, which isn’t that much. Everything that is different is something negative. Nothing positive about this airline exceeds other airlines.
First, the plane that I was on was extremely small and uncomfortable. It was extremely claustrophobic on the plane and the legroom wasn’t great. JetBlue is a great example of an airline to compare to this one because everything negative about Delta is perfect with JetBlue. Delta has no screens on the seats and I got a seat without a window! That’s insane! There is no reason there should be seats on a plane without windows. I took this airline to get to my vacation and back home, and both times, they had problems with the air conditioning. It broke and I couldn’t breathe. Also both of my flights got delayed a hour. Maybe some of these things would have been better if I flew to a more popular airport or took a longer flight, but my overall experience was very poor.
unaccommodating for minors
Cancelled and rebooked flight for no apparent reason (no weather or plane issues) which caused it to bleed into next day. i’m 16 so i asked what to do, they said to go book at the airport hotel. i said i can’t (you have to be 18+) and they basically just said welp that sucks
