Parkstone Road, Hastings
This chemist is very slow in making up prescriptions. One young lady is very pleasant but the other one is definitely not. OK she cannot guarantee when a particular medicine will be in stock, but her attitude is awful. The customer is always wrong as far as she is concerned.
Has become really really slow at script turnaround
I moved my regular prescription here rather than local Boots as Boots was soooo slow and always blamed lack of availability (I know there wasn’t an issue). Usually the local Day Lewis turns scripts round in 48 hours. Gradually worsened over last 6 months. Plenty of staff. Recent script sent from GP 10am Wed. Went to pharmacy Monday late morning and not even put together let alone checked by pharmacist. Had to wait over 30 mins. Is this because there is no longer a ‘usual’ pharmacist as they keep changing or is it simply inefficient
Stoke Newington pharmacy
Not just this time, every time I attend the pharmacy I greeted warmly and treated like a human being. Staff, whoever is on duty are extremely helpful and attentive. In recent times due not being so well, the staff are never short of a warm smile and hello, and always deal with my medication prompt and swiftly.. They are all very professional too. Even though they now know who I am due to regularity, they always go through the channels of confirming my details, address, DOB etc..
The pharmacist Nicolina is very proficient in how she maintains high quality working standards and martialing the troops (staff) all done with her 24/7 positive attitude and smile. Always at hand to give out great tips and information and check on welfare.. If all pharmacies was like this, would not be so daunting to attend.
Great staff, great pharmacy,
Excellent Nicolina and all crew.. 👍🏾😃

I was on holiday in Hornsea when my medication was accidentally sent to my usual pharmacy back home. I was so worried, but Bobby at Day Lewis Hornsea was absolutely amazing. He phoned my pharmacy, arranged for the prescription to be returned, and got it all sorted for me straight away. Such a relief! Thank you so much, Bobby, for your kindness and brilliant service — you really went above and beyond.
Poor delivery on repeat prescriptions
I requested a repeat prescription from my GP 21.8.25 and it was approved 22.8.25 but was not available at Day Lewis until 1.9.25 only being processed 29.8.25. That is 11 days between approval and being available. No texts, not for months now. Huge queues at their local pharmacy, people anxious that items will be missing. People being asked to return the following day so that staff can try and find the order. Our local Day Lewis’ system changed a few months ago to being more ‘centralised’ in collation of prescriptions - well it hasn’t worked out well has it Day Lewis? It’s been a disaster. No stars in my review at all for you.
Day Lewis - Leeds Road, Harrogate
Day Lewis - Leeds Road, Harrogate
I'm starting to lose patience with Day Lewis. All businesses have "staffing issues" but it's been going on for months now. My prescriptions are supposed to go into the 24 hour collection point and I'm supposed to receive a text message. The last twice, having heard nothing for a week or more, I've wandered in and my prescription has been ready behind the counter. Both times, the fact that it wasn't in the machine was blamed on staffing issues and on the second occasion, I was assured it wouldn't happen again. This time around, when I didn't hear anything for a week, I presumed the same thing had happened, so I went and stood for 30 minutes in a queue that stretched around the entire shop. When I finally reached the front, I was told that they'd taken 6 days to scan the prescription into their own system and now, 3 days later (9 days after my GP practice sent them my prescription), it still wasn't ready. Again, staffing issues were blamed. As a former recruiter of pharmacy staff myself, I can tell you that these "staffing issues" aren't especially difficult to solve. Perhaps the primary "staffing issue" is the person who's responsible for ensuring the place is adequately staffed in the first place?
Felixstowe branch. Unfriendly staff.
We use the Felixstowe branch at the Grove Medical Centre, they are generally fairly efficient at managing repeat prescriptions, but the attitude of some of the front of house staff leaves much to be desired. Ive worked in customer facing organisations, it costs nothing to welcome customers, and be smiley and polite, but you very rarely get that from this branch, and generally leave feeling unhappy at the way in which you've been treated. The way staff treat customers reflects on the managers too, who are presumably incapable of recruiting suitable customer facing people and/or incapable of changing the attitudes go the ones they have. If this could be addressed it would be a great branch
Poor service and few products.,
Consistently slow, poor service at the Leeds Road Harrogate branch. I’m sure it would always be quicker to drive into the centre of Harrogate and go to Boots, they are so tediously slow at everything. They have virtually no stock either.
Awful people in Camberley
I have sent to complaint, as the first on on the 19th August had no response and I would like to make a complaint about how your staff treat my carers when they go for medication, she is always ignored, forgotten or talked to rudely, even if shes first in the queue she is made to wait for up to 30 minutes, this is unacceptable when the medication prescription has been there for 48 hours. Your staff are rude and unhelpful. She is always in uniform and is clearly a carer. Please can you sort this and train your staff to be more respectful of carers please. No one replies to emails, and there is no other contact except for my local one which is staffed by awful and unhelpful people.
Phone call answered immediately
Phone call answered immediately. My query about their receipt of a prescription was also satisfied. This is a busy pharmacy but the staff are very professional.
Difficult to get call answered Day Lewis Pharmacy, Peckham
Difficult to get call answered. Meds get delivered in my experience 5-10 days... that's a long time not to have life changing meds. And have run out at times and unable to get through to them. I'm house bound
Getting through to head office customer is also a joke
There should be Zero star option not just 1 star
The best pharmacy
The staff at this pharmacy are always polite, super friendly, and incredibly efficient. Every visit is a pleasure thanks to their quick service and welcoming attitude. Truly the best pharmacy in Burton — highly recommended!
The Day Lewis pharmacy in Parkstone Road…
To the Day Lewis Pharmacy in Parkstone Road:
I am writing to provide feedback on my visit yesterday. As always, the staff were helpful, cheerful, and positive, and provided excellent service. The team on duty deserves a great deal of praise for their professionalism.
However, I have noticed two issues that affect my experience with the pharmacy:
Staffing: I've observed a high staff turnover. It is rare to see the same faces on consecutive visits, which makes it difficult to build a rapport and trust with a consistent pharmacist.
Computer System: I received an automated message confirming my prescription was ready for collection. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the prescription was incomplete. I appreciate that the local staff have no control over the automated system, but this is a recurring inconvenience.
While I have no doubt in the abilities of the individual staff members, the high turnover and unreliable computer system make me question the overall stability and effectiveness of the pharmacy's operations.
Kind regards,
Stephen
