Considering 29 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about the terrible customer service, describing endless hold times, unhelpful automated responses, and severe difficulties in reaching a helpful representative. Reviewers also reported major issues with defective appliances, noting that items like ice makers and freezers stopped working shortly after purchase. Though some customers faced frustrating warranty obstacles, a small group noted that they eventually received approvals for product replacements or reimbursements after persistent communication. A few other people also felt that certain items looked visually appealing or arrived in pristine packaging before ultimately experiencing unexpected technical failures.

The singularly most depressing

The singularly most depressing, suffocating, redundant and dehumanizing Support (*a very loose- to nonexistent term as used here)- outside the actual company I purchased this cute, little god damn red- retro thing from- that WONDERFUL acquaintance with Frigidaire (not the tiny one that was recalled- this taller one that will be recalled).

Gave up after countless pictures, 1 month of "troubleshooting" and 20 calls- for which they finally said I would get a refund- then to request 'that good sir, may you try the troubleshooting again'.

They start their painful messages with 'Good Sir'- then a walk through robotic, toxic mud. They confirmed again- after 2more calls- it is due for a full refund= but more pictures and SSN's they already have along with the receipt they already have- but I didn't "field destroy'- so they are covered/ instead had a neighbor recycle it.

So, just thanks Frigidaire and Curtis, you are actually everything that is wrong with current society. I will be doing an Op Ed piece on my experience and I encourage everyone here to take to take- Frigidaire and their pathetic excuse for contracted support- Curtis.

The name "Curtis" now only reminds me of either a bully in school or one of those TA's that smiled while checking right answer's wrong.

Cheers.

Watch what you purchase from this company

On or about June 27, 2026, I purchased a Hamilton Beach upright freezer, Internet # 331904897, Model # HBFRF0011, Store SKU # 1012627789, from Home Depot located at 175 Laboratory Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Home Depot only stocks one of these items at a time. The box material was intact and showed no sign of damage. I transported the freezer to my residence, unboxed the freezer, and there are two dents in the door, and one dent on the left side of the freezer, related to manufacturing (also known as workmanship). I contacted Home Depot and Home Depot manager stated there was nothing he could do resolve the issue and suggested I contact the manufacturer. I contacted Hamilton Beach, and Hamilton Beach states they have no responsibility for their Hamilton Beach upright freezer since they (Hamilton Beach) contract Curtis International to manufacture the product for them (Hamilton Beach). I contacted Curtis International and received this response “We regret to inform you that we don't stock the part(s) you need. We suggest you inquire with your local service centers or check online to match any available part(s) for sale.” Curtis International warranty includes “Under normal use and operation, as outlined in the user manual, your product is covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship” for a period of parts one year, and labor 90 days. Curtis International has breached the manufacturing warranty agreement by refusing to adhere to Curtis International manufacturer/consumer agreement that states Curtis International will “1. Repair or replace the defective part. 2. Replace the unit with a unit of equal or greater value. 3. Issue a refund of the purchase price (a valid proof of purchase from an authorized Curtis dealer must be provided).”

Avoid Curtis International!!

Bought the Frigidaire 126 can beverage fridge from Home Depot last year. After a couple of months it started to make random noises every few hours but still seemed to keep things cool. So we decided to keep it and see how things went. Plus it’s big and heavy and hard to return to the store.

Around 10 months in, nothing got better so i reached out to Curtis for warranty support. The fridge is built by Curtis and they put Frigidaire name on it.

I provided everything they asked for including sound clips, photos and videos of the unit when it makes the noises. After almost two months of emailing with them, Curtis is saying i need to destroy my fridge, send them photos to show that i destroyed it, then they will send me a cheque for the original amount even though HD now sells the fridge for $200 more. I asked why they can’t come repair it or replace it and they said they don’t have local repair techs and this unit is not available for replacement! There are many local fridge repair techs in my city, and this fridge is still available at retailers like HD, but Curtis rejected all of those options i presented.

I asked to see their warranty and it says ‘repair or replace’. But they are not following their own warranty commitment. I’m trying to talk to a manager but they have been reluctant to connect me with one.

So in summary, the fridge looks nice, does a decent job of cooling but not too cold, BUT if you have any issues with the fridge don’t expect Curtis to help. Will never buy anything made by Curtis again.

Purchase an air fryer on February 23 as…

Purchase an air fryer on February 23 as a gift for my daughter‘s birthday on April 7. I gave it to her in April 7 by May 5 the Air Fryer had melted. We have been jumping through hoops getting information to Curtis and sending the same information again and finally 2 1/2 weeks ago. They sent me a way bill to return the system to them. we’ve used it for a month remember just a month so we sent it to them back prepaid and they’ve had it for ten days now and still, we don’t have an air fryer so we’ve been out an air fryer for six weeks now. It melted, all they had to do was open the box to see it melted. I don’t care about any analysis about their stupid Air Fryer. Just Send us a new Air Fryer or send us our money back. Talk about a horrible customer experience to take this much time for something we used for one month. Very disappointed in this company.

Do not buy anything from this shady, trashy company.

They make extremely poor quality products, take 2 months to issue a replacement under warranty, and then refuse to refund your money when the replacement product also fails after just a few weeks. They intentionally drag out their claims to make it difficult for the warranty claim to be resolved under their warranty terms. They also require the customer to return the product at their own expense.

Absolutely unacceptable service

Absolutely unacceptable service

It has now been seven weeks and my refund check is still “lost somewhere.” No clear answers, no real follow-up, and no sense of urgency.

Every time I call, I’m told my file is being escalated yet nothing happens. No updates. No solutions. Just empty promises. I have never experienced such poor customer service.

This has been an exhausting and frustrating process. A refund should not take nearly 4 months, especially when the customer is constantly chasing for answers.

Warranty process is a joke!

Purchased one of their products that failed within a week. Contacted them directly due to it being sold out online. It has been over 2 months since they approved everything I submitted and stated they would either send me a replacement or a check for the refund amount. Neither has happened at this point but I continue to receive emails letting me know that they have escalated the case to be reviewed by the appropriate department. Have called multiple times and no one can give me a straight answer as to why they have not either sent me a replacement item or a check for the cost. I will definitely never buy anything from this company ever again!

One word- horrible

One word- horrible. A wave guide plate broke in my 4 month old microwave. Took over two weeks to find out that they have the part but are expecting me to pay for it and the shipping. How does a wave guide plate even come off and then the customer is told it is not a warranty problem? Never buying Frigidaire again!!

Horrible products & horrible service

Bought a Frigidaire deep freezer from Walmart. Paid for the extended warranty. It never worked from the moment it was taken out of the box. Because it was past the 48 hours of delivery, Walmart told me to go to the manufacturer. Frigidaire then directed me to Curtis International as it was sold thru them.
Curtis Int’l drug this out for three months and I still don’t have a refund. I had to send several pictures and videos proving I had cut the cord off, etc. Each time, they claimed they couldn’t see the picture or video clear enough, requiring me to resend it all multiple times. They promised I would have my money within 7-14 days, 60 days ago. Now they claim I should have it within 4-5 week. I also have to pay to dispose of the freezer, and won’t be refunded for the extended warranty. Horrible product- horrible service.

Grateful I Googled this company… SCAM!

I’m so grateful I Googled this company before spending $$$ to send back my Frigidaire nugget ice maker like they asked me to do and getting scammed out of hundreds of dollars. I’m disappointed to be out the $167 we spent on the machine just to have it stop working (the same horrible screeching noise others have mentioned— two weeks shy of 1 year after purchase) but at least I know not to bother trying to claim the warranty through Curtis. I will take it up with Frigidaire again and maybe these bad reviews will help them know not to outsource to Curtis for their warranty claims.

This support is an absolute joke

This support is an absolute joke. Note that I purchased a Frigidaire product and apparently they have outsourced their support to this company. I bought a brand new icemaker for $200 (not a cheap one) on 10/27/2024 - in mid December, it simply stopped working. It made a loud buzzing noise and would not make ice. I provided every single piece of documentation including photos and a video to support, and they simply said ooops sorry the warranty is 12 months. I asked for this to be escalated for review and a potential goodwill offer of assistance. They flat out said no they would not escalate.
Frigidaire should be mortified that this is who supports their products. I will never purchase a Frigidaire again
I will also be emailing their CEO Aaron Herzog feel free to look up his contact info online

Awful. Won’t honor warranty

Received a new wifi photo frame - factory sealed, package perfect, and the frame inside looked untouched. Turned on and there are lines across the screen. Sent in for warranty and was told it’s “defective due to shipping” from the retailer. Refused warranty. Literally no visible package damage yet claiming it was damaged during shipping from the retailer?! They then claim rigorous QC before sending - I have asked how they can prove it wasn’t damaged in their facility or their shipping.

Horrible horrible horrible

Horrible horrible horrible. Have been dealing with a warranty issue for over 2.5 months and getting the same response. “Please be patient we are working on it they approved the replacement or refund over a month ago. I have contacted them via email and phone several times. I’ve asked to have my issue elevated and I get the same response. Horrible company! Initial email and claim started October 24th.

VERY LOW QUALITY COMPANY AND PRODUCTS!

I purchased one of their counter top ice makers from an auction site. It worked intermittently for a few weeks and then completely stopped making ice. I was able to fix it before by doing some power cycle steps but nothing is working now. I contacted support and I suspected it may be a long shot to get support since I didn't purchase it from a big box store. However, I was still hoping for at least some measure of assistance from the support team or maybe some advice on what I can try to get it to work again, regardless of where it was purchased. I got nothing and was told they can't help me because it wasn't purchased from an authorized distributor.

I wish I would have done my research before purchasing this product as I've been reading online how this is a very common issue with these ice makers and also very common for support to offer very little help.

Extremely low quality product and company. That goes for both Curtis International and Frigidaire!

Worst customer service and product quality

Worst customer service experience I be ever had, hands down. I bought a Frigidaire Gallery Nugget Ice Maker less than a year ago, which means Walmarts warranty doesn't apply and you have to go through Curtis International. BAD NEWS! The people keep requiring more and more of the same information over and over again for weeks. After a month of going back and forth with what I believe to be a soulless robot, I FINALLY got someone to approve me for a replacement unit, but they had me ship the unit back to them at MY OWN expense. It was $142 to ship it back and they do not cover shipping costs. It has been 18 days and I still haven't received my replacement. After reading 99 other reviews on here about their terrible service, I'd love to sue this company. Gonna look into that now.

Culinary Chef air fryer

I purchased a culinary chef air fryer. Used it 3 times and the top basket stopped working. Initiated a warranty claim with company. The process was frustrating to say the least. After 2 months of replying to their emails and multiple demands I finally received reimbursement. Their multiple demands to process my claim appeared to me as a tactic to make me abandon the cause. I had to send picture after picture after picture. I am not the most tech savvy so the whole process was painful. I understand why the store I purchased the unit from indicated to me that they do not assist customers with warranty claims from this company! The cost of reimbursement was hardly worth my time…but I was not going to give up! I will not be purchasing anything from this company anymore…
