Currys - Chester Reviews 

Was told you can easily swap the door opening from right to left, on our fridge freezer. But not all of the fittings were in the bag to do that. So not good.

Unable to get on line in order to try and change delivery day and time. I was out when delivery made. Package was delivered safely but there were no instructions or guide with the Television. I am not good on line and I am on my own so this means that I had to ask the help of a neighbour with some knowledge in order to get the Television working. I cannot fault the delivery as package was left in a reasonably secure place.I dealt with the nearest Currys which was Sealand Road Chester staff efficient.

Amazing host! , whilst visiting the Chester store today I took unwell as recently had brain surgery, the host Mary couldn’t have been more helpful, we need more people like Mary in the world! Thank you for all your help today :)

Trouble free transaction. Our fridge was delivered in the time slot promised with a call 5 minutes before arrival. Excellent installation service. Thank you.

Knowledgeable, polite sales assistant great selection of laptops and good value for money.

The extremely helpful sales person Ben made the experience special. He researched it on the same screen as the other sales person and found the perfect Monitor for my PC.

I went to purchase a tumble dryer. There was a wide selection to choose from and there was a lot of information on display. There was a good choice of delivery options. I was served by Troy who provided a first class customer service. Well done to him.

Ordered on the25th ,parcel dispatched next day (courier label showed that). 1 week later I went to the store to enquire and was told it's still being shipped and maybe they were waiting for a new batch. Went into the store 9 days later and the operative went to check there storerooms and the TV was there. So for nearly 2 weeks nobody bothered to process my order & inform me. Worst 'Click & Collect' experience, proving slackness at the store itself.

Visited Currys yesterday with my partner who has mobility issues. We were on the first floor and when finished we weee unable to leave as the lift had broken. We were told that a lift engineer was en route but then said the fire brigade were attending. The person trapped in the lift was released but Currys staff( M***) told us the fire service refused to help as they had no means to get my partner down the stairs. Currys had no plan to evacuate from the first floor and when asked the fire service said they hadn’t been asked let alone refuse to help. Eventually with the help of the fire service it was agreed that we should use a service lift, one that M*** said we couldn’t use due to H&S. Even then M*** tried to stop us but was overruled by other staff. So Currys have no plan to get disabled customers out of the store in the event of an emergency Avoid this store

We always go to Curry’s for our televisions. Our sales person Shane was very knowledgeable and took time to show us different models and explained the features. He also explained about Curry’s extensive cover which we took. Shane pointed out if we have any difficulties setting the tv up to ring a number for help on our paperwork. He also explained how to claim the cash back and when to apply. Great service.

We purchased a coffee machine from the Chester branch and it has never worked. The manufacturer has been unable to repair. I sought legal advice and was told to request a refund via my consumer rights which I did last Wednesday by visiting the store in person and speaking to a Manager and putting my request in writing. They promised to call me back but haven't. Customer service cannot put me through via phone to the store not can I call or email the store direct . To drive to the store is an hour round trip which isn't a convenient option. Currys customer service is terrible and they make it virtually impossible to make a valid complaint .
