Currys - Canterbury Reviews 

I ordered a sodastream CO2 cylinder online for collection at the local branch and I was informed within the allowed time that my order was ready for collection. The cylinder was an exchange (empty one being returned, full one being purchased) but when I got to the branch I was informed that the online process did not permit an exchange. The staff at the branch managed to resolve the problem by canceling the online order and treating me as a walk in customer. Firstly, what numpty designed the a system which does not permit the exchange of such an item and do they still have a job, secondly, full marks to the staff at my local branch who resolved the situation to my satisfaction and in a practical manner. All in all, another example a problem created by a poorly designed system being mitigated by good service from the staff on the shop floor.

My experience with buying a laptop at a curry's store was dreadful. I went to Canterbury store to buy a laptop which when I went to collect it was not there. It turn out they had not ordered it in the first place. So trying to contact the store was impossible. Plus I spoke to three different managers to get the matter resolved. Took two weeks to get they told me 3 days.They are so unprofessional. If you can find the product somewhere else do that. Do not buy from curry's.

We were served by Kieran who was very knowledgeable. We purchased a fridge freezer and dishwasher. He helped with all our queries and made our experience very pleasant.

I went into the Canterbury store intending to buy the cheapest oven I could ... It was for a rental property, and to be honest, I never know how well tenants will treat the appliances. But after talking to Mel, I decided to go middle of the road, I spent a bit more but loved the idea of an insurance that would give an oven clean once a year for five years! Thant way thge oven will be cleaned for the next tenants- and not by me!

Our tv had died on us so we came in for a new one and had outstanding service from Mark (his number was 9)
Mark was exceptionally helpful- knowledgeable and informative with excellent interpersonal skills. We have a very narrow house and he did not try to persuade us to buy a bigger tv than we had enquired about. He was a credit to the company

We had a service of a lovely lady who was highly professional and helpful

We had an issue with a microwave we purchased 11 months ago, which was resolved immediately. We were told the value (which was what we paid originally) and asked to simply choose a new one from the shop floor.
We were so impressed we purchased a new steam mop too!

The lady was very helpful her name was melanie , not only was she helping us she was training another lady aswell

Excellent range of products, both in store and on- line. The in-store customer agents were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help me select the right item. They looked up technical details that I needed to help me select the best option for my requirements. The delivery process was fast, efficient and live tracking was helpful. I even got a call ten minutes before arrival.

So, have now been told that the product that I purchased in store and was in stock - Was informed on the day of delivery that it had gone out of stock - is still currently out of stock. Firstly, should be available from the 13th of September... That was a no then, and now from the 20th of September!? No customer update forthcoming from Currys and I have had to chase this for almost two weeks. Also no contact from Ben who was quick as a whippet to respond to negative reviews but has since gone silent. Terrible communication.
