I was a Member for more than 20 years, I retired over a year ago instructing the Society that I no-longer wanted to be a Member in any form. Since then I have had three demands for money/monthly payments, even though each month I have told them I have retired. This Society appears to be only interested in getting your money and not acting professionally even though they are meant to support high standards within the profession!
During lockdown when a lot of courses are online, they said I couldn’t become a student member because I am studying full time on an online course. Before this they stated they needed my cv but wouldn’t tell me why. I could have told them it was an online course, my cv didn’t show this.
I then asked that under data protection they destroy any records pertaining to myself and they stated they would only do that if I supplied my bank details!
