I absolutely hate how utterly poor their customer service is. It's been complaining about two issue for about three years now, and nothing what so ever has been done, and they're pretty easy fixes.... See more

Forcing fans to your service is cheap...
Shutting down free anime streaming sites is such a cheap way to force fans to use Crunchyroll. It's not our fault that your service sucks and that free streaming services are just better than yours...
Needs a "Drop" feature and episode comments
I really need a way to drop an anime from my feed. My "Continue Watching" list keeps growing with shows I have no intention of finishing. Additionally, adding a comment section below every episode would be a great way to improve community engagement.
Terrible
Terrible. Small ahh Library & Shitty Subtitles + removing already added Animes (86), restricts comparatively smaller but legal services like Muze Asia (on YT) to premiere an Anime on its Airing Date (Re:Zero & Muze Asia has WAY BETTER subtitles of Re:Zero than Crunchyroll), sells user data to 3rd Party Companies, User's CC's ENTIRE info including the ENTIRE CVV/Card No ./Name was stored on the website and then leaked through their admin/mod acc and even tried to keep that info secret without publically informing and apologising.

Doesn't have all the anime website is a…
Doesn't have all the anime website is a nightmare for the price you pay not worth it after the sign up and a promise of a certain anime being there with eng dub Promised by the website, I spent a good long time registering just to find out the website lied giving false advertising about it's content which was a major disappointment then tried looking. Up other anime and none were there I decided to delete my subscription instantly. Very disappointed and betrayed.
Few of the issues I faced with Crunchyroll
The website is not that bad but it is just that many of the shows that I want to watch are just not available on it. It happened with me many times that even if the show I want to watch is neither available in my native language nor Japanese Sub for me to watch. I face these issues frequently, especially the unavailability one, but I gave the last time I had this issue. I'll give you an example- The movie, 'Scarlet', and some of the others that were in the anime awards choice this year for the best movie are just not available in crunchyroll.
DISGUSTING customer support
Disgusting customer support. What should have been a simple inquiry about a pending charge turned into a complete nightmare. After struggling through an AI bot, I was connected to two agents outside Europe, who repeatedly requested sensitive card information without properly explaining why it was needed. This review is not about Crunchyroll itself. It's about the poor quality of customer support I received today. The service felt dismissive, aggressive, and unnecessarily complicated. The quality of support is clearly deteriorating.
What happens when you strongarm your supporters
After monopolizing the anime medium, crunchyroll swept across GitHub and other data repositories to destroy all anime not on their site, followed by deleting their free tier as well. So now you either pay them to watch anime, or you don't watch anime. It's a dystopian situation. I'd also like to make note that Crunchyroll began in 2006 as an illegal piracy website as well.
- Very Toxic to users

- Dont even have a big anime collection compared to the other services that had to shut down because of it

I keep getting ads despite having a subscription, I feel I'm getting hassles.
terrible company
terrible company, forgetting their roots and trying to monopolize the anime market without actually showcasing every anime out there. So many ads as well, even premium doesn't give premium. Terrible customer support
freaking greedy company
freaking greedy company, burning data centers and saying they didnt do it to get more money. (btw started out as a pirating site)
Just a shitty company taking shitty decisions
Removed comments under episodes, gave censored anime, gave AI sub’s… the usual. And it’s just a shitty company, day by day it keeps on getting worse. Was a sub, but cancelled it. Sailing high seas is better than this piece of garbage. Netflix has way more quality content than this.

It is absolutely appalling with the amount they are charging their subscribers and the way they treat them
Greedy
Greedy. Their library isn’t enough for what you pay. And my friend in Japan can’t even use it. And they host the anime awards IN JAPAN. THE PLACE WHERE IT’S BANNED. That’s just disrespectful man:( Please learn from this. “Thank you, Crunchyroll.”“Crunchyroll?” “Because you’re a roll that’s crunchy.” “Oh yeah.”
Downsize Crunchyroll and invite competition
There isn't much this company is willing to do to improve their public relations. Their greed and monopoly in the anime realm is too great. They refuse to fix known issues that cause customer dissatisfaction while making it harder for anyone else to fill the massive gaps that Crunchyroll has in their anime database.
just dogshit
its lagyyy
its lagyyy
they need to fix the internet issue, my internet works fine with netflix and prime, but with crunchyroll, dunno why, but it takes about 10min to load a 1080p show, while netflix loads a 4k show instantly, the really need to fix that issue
Please let this company burn!
I rather pirate anime then pay a subscription to this app that doesn’t even have my anime yet I can’t pirate because they shutdown everything just to still not have the anime I wanna watch and let’s not forgot the lies they fed when I paid for the most expensive membership and I was supposed to get a free gift bag or wtv and never got one the app also kept crashing anything I watched would lag freeze or buffer and just to cancel my subscription it took my 2 hours at this point I’ll just only buy the manga and use my imagination because it’s ridiculous
Its quite overpriced
Its quite overpriced. but not that bad when it works.
but so many series arent available for some reason when youre literally PAYING? Or even worse randomly season 2 is there, but not season 1!!?
Heard also all the subs are now full of AI slop grammar? havent used this site for almost 2 years now so cant comment from my view, but that is also very disappointing if true.
