Last Sunday, my daughter broke down at a roundabout in a nightmare of a place. She’s only 19 and got really upset as was unable to move the car. Unfortunately lots of people were beeping her and getting annoyed rather than understanding she couldn’t do anything. Luckily a very kind gentleman from Crouch came to her rescue. He pulled up behind her to stop traffic and pushed her into a lay-by where she could then wait safely for the recovery to turn up. The Crouch driver didn’t have to do this but went out his way to help and solve this problem. I was so appreciative as I could hear how upset my daughter was.
So I leave this review with lots of thanks ! And for others to see that Crouch team aren’t just about who’s on their call out list they are genuine nice people willing to help.

Luckily we've not needed recovering any time yet,, but wouldnt hesitate to use this company. We recently visited the Coalville depot with our son for a birthday treat

We were shown around by Incident Manager Steve Donoghue, and I cannot put into words how fantastic he was. He went above and beyond for our son, Toby, who is a huge fan of recovery trucks and your work on Trucking Hell. Toby has special needs, and experiences like this mean more to him than most people realise — and Steve made it absolutely unforgettable.

He took the time to show Toby around the yard, answered every single one of his questions with patience and enthusiasm, let him see everything up close, and even took him for a drive in one of the trucks. Toby was absolutely beaming the entire time. Steve treated him with such kindness, understanding, and genuine interest, and it meant the world to us as parents to see Toby so happy and included.

We are incredibly grateful that Steve took time out of his day to make this experience so special. It was far more than we ever expected, and we will never forget it. Toby hasn’t stopped talking about him — or the trucks — since! As soon as we got in the car to leave his words were, "I think I'm going to burst, this has got to be a dream its the best birthday ever!"

After my pride and joy broke down today and calling my roadside recovery which were useless… Crouch Recovery couldn’t have been more customer friendly, professional, and on scene with me within an hour. My vehicle was treated with respect and care, the driver was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Recovered to my choice of garage.

Sean came to our rescue on a cold night. Very skilled in recovering the car from motorway and placing the car on a tight driveway. Sean was very pleasant and professional throughout our whole experience. Highly recommend the service

I broke down on the M1 last night. Recovery driver was fab! Got me and my car safely off the busy motorway and onward to the hotel without issue. Fab service, very professional 🫶🏻

Great guys ! They went above and beyond getting me and my car home safely in the early hours and fixed the following day and I really thought I’d end up with a hefty bill ! It was an only a sensor thankfully, and honest enough to just charge me for the part and recover which wasn’t a lot of money ! Would recommend to anyone and keep there number and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again . Thanks guys

Having broken down on the A14 14/9/25 late afternoon and pouring with rain, Crouch Recovery arrived to recover my 7.5 ton lorry with a valuable cargo inside and got me home to Colchester.

On the 27th of August around 2:30am
We broke down in our MG ZS (clutch) on the M1 .crouch were very quick and efficient (thank you Simon)😁 the guy took us back to Derbyshire.
Their driver made a very upsetting ordeal easier because of his work ethics and reassurance.

After a terrible experience with RAC sending recovery vehicles unable to transport my motorhome, we eventually received a Crouch Recovery.
The driver, Lee Macness was wonderful. Very calm and reassuring. After 2 days of stress he reassured us he was able to help. He had a great knowledge of his job and worked thoroughly and methodically.
I travelled with him to the Ford garage. He is a very safe driver.
At the garage he escorted me into reception & explained the procedure.
This is a member of staff worth his weight In Gold.
My overall experience with Crouch has been 10/10 from their call handlers to their recovery driver.

Left a review last year around November 2024 time as crouch had recovered my scirocco from the M1 didn’t care at all resulting in my front splitter being smashed got passed around with nothing being done one the phone heard someone say “I’ll pay him £10 a week”?!!! Then got told it was passed to their insurance company never heard anything after that now in august of 2025 my number has been blocked by these! With nothing being done about it!

Would just like to say a big thank you to Chris and Kieran from crouch for there patients and understanding with our camper van , firstly from M1 and then from home to garage .
The service was ten out of ten and both such lovely guys and amazing at their job .

Shawn was excellent came within 30 mins took care loading car brought us home all within a hour on puncture

One word: Shaun! Shaun made this experience, which is less than ideal so much better. What a legend. Calm, funny, kind and very professional. Can’t thank him enough. Nice one Shaun. Even stayed with me whilst I was sorted with the next guy as he wasn’t allowed to take me all my way.
