Fab way to spend an afternoon

Attended the gin making class today, what a fantastic experience! Toby was an excellent host and tutor. A great afternoon was had by all, the ‘class’ size is small so everyone felt very involved. Would throughly recommend this experience.

An amazing way to spend an afternoon!

I was given this as a Christmas present, and boy, what an excellent experience it was! Run by a small team, Andrew and Hannah were so friendly and put us at ease immediately. We got to try some delicious gins and learn about the history of gin and Crossbill Distilling. And of course - distil our own gin! We got to do it all: pick our botanicals, put them in the still, manage the distillation and then label and bottle our own gin! Can't think of a better way to spend the afternoon! We will be back with friends and family. Thank you for a brilliant afternoon!

Crossbill Gin School - Fantastic

This was a gift from my husband for Christmas and we booked to go on my birthday. What a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were welcomed by Andrew and Barbara, with a welcome gin and mixer. It was a small, intimate gathering of 4 groups of 2. We sat around the benches and Andrew gave a really interesting and detailed history of gin. We moved on to sampling 4 different Crossbill gins, all different and individual. My favourite was of course the most expensive one. Then we moved on to making our own gin. Andrew explained the process as we went along, each couple had to chose their botanicals first and there was a hefty selection, I'll not detail these as it's best to see them on your visit. Once they were chosen, they were pressed in the pestle and mortar a wee bit, then added to the still for processing your own gin. Each couple had such different choices, however, they all smelled delicious. While the gins were distilling, a small tray of delicious snacks were fed to each couple along with another gin and mixer of choice. Finally the personal gins were bottled, labelled and wax sealed ready for taking home. We also bought a bottle of the gin we'd been served during the class. All in all we were in there for well over the 3 hours.

Andrew took us outside to look at the small distilling room for the business, it's amazing how much they get done in that wee room.

I'd 100% recommend this for an afternoon out in Glasgow.
