Warning warning to anyone thinking of purchasing from this company , my order was placed on the 7th Aug had notification 2 days after saying good news your order has been dispatched and on its way , but nothing arrived , tel and was told problem with courier now sorted but still nothing arrived tel again week later told will definitely have delivery next day but nothing arrived tel again this time told it’s at courier and out for delivery tomorrow . Now after 3 weeks without delivery and numerous excuses with no one having the courtesy to call me I again called this time told the law / regulations had changed and not allowed to sell and going to refund money . I seriously advise anyone thinking of using this company to be extremely cautious , The last excuse again been checked and 100% no change in regulation since making purchase .BUYERS BE WARNED

Delivery never received and 2.5 weeks now still no refund either. This company is a con be aware they take orders, don't deliver and don't refund your purchase. Complaint logged with credit card company now.

Do not support companies like this.

Placed an order with them for 25L of Creosote over a week ago only for them to say they are having logistic problems with delivery. They contacted me again saying because of legislation change I have to order 100L of Creoste, I asked them to honour the original order and send it out. I then received confirmation that we have been refunded. I will be contacting Trading Standards on this matter. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Absolutely dreadful company. No receipt or no creosote, also can’t get through to them on the phone. Ringing the bank now to report them and hopefully get a refund.

Good product. Happy customer. I can only talk from own experience. Ordered late on 22nd april.Arrived 27th April. Allowing for weekend and late in day ordering, I got 50 lt of proper creosote a lot cheaper than Moles etc inc delivery, in a couple of days. Given it is a 30+ mile roundtrip to any store supplying this (when they have it!) it saved me time and effort. I got emails confirming order and notifications with tracking from delivery co (apc). All good, except now have to do fences and sheds in glorious sunshine.

Placed order on the 8th April, while did not get a order confirmation my order number was on the PayPal receipt, got dispatch email on 10th and was delivered a few days later. Minus the lack of a immediate confirmation email on ordering have been happy with the Cresote Substitute and was good price so would be happy to use again!

This company is run from a private house and not a factory or shop. Need to find where they buy from then order direct. Copy and paste address into google maps and drop the little man onto the street and spin the camera and you will see the private house.
Ordered 20 litres and a brush, email from APC courier saying they would deliver the next day, nope.
I called them and they said they went to collect it but there was no one to collect from so they couldn't deliver and they had no info when to next collect.
I called and called and left messages at Creosote but zero response. I am now going through my credit card to get my money back, fingers crossed.

Ordered on 26/04 and received confirmation on 27/04 that my order was being processed.
Then on 07/05 an email was received saying that my money was being refunded. No explanation offered.
Not impressed.

Excellent service every time I've used them.

Many of the negative reviews are old as things have obviously improved. For example, whilst I thought goods were coming via ParcelForce, they actually came well within time via APC who are a whole lot better with much better tracking. Similarly the support I've had from William was bang on, with prompt and curteous emails.

I'm a happy repeat customer.

The dark stain always comes with big lumps of gooey crap inside which wastes half the amount of contents. Waste of money.

The product appears OK though different compared to preservatives I have used before i.e. there is a thick tar-like component.

Their management in terms of transport, payment and communication is severely deficient.

Does exactly what it says on the tin, thanks you guys at Creosote Sales! Postie wasn't too happy lugging the the tub up the stairs though... I have seen a lot of negative reviews, no complaints myself. Kind and friendly service, delivered on time. Recommended seller. All the best.

I ordered creocote online. I had a receipt within seconds and it was delivered within a few days. No issues at all. I've not used this product before (I've used creosote in the past) but it has covered well and the fence panels have exactly the same colour as the previous creosote - time will tell.
Some of the reviews appear negative - lack of customer support etc. but quite frankly, I found the service perfect and I would recommend using this team.

If I could give this company a 0 star then I would.
Awful company to deal with, they state 2 to 3 days delivery on a week day, I ordered early hours of Monday morning and received it 8 days later, this was after speaking to someone on the phone who said it would be despatched that day ( it wasn’t) and email asking for the order to be cancelled as it was not dispatched, no answer, I resorted to open a case with PayPal and hey presto it was delivered two days later. The company issued a parcel force tracking number that is useless and gives no information other than ‘Advised’ then nothing. I had to result in buying a different product from a different company to complete my job that did arrive over night. Now I have 25lt of creosote that is not required. This is the first negative review I have ever made about a company as I’ve always been able to deal with them to resolve any rare issues. Order from this company at your peril, you have been warned!

I have opened this product this morning and unfortunately it is not 100% traditional creosote, I have used creosote for many years and know the difference, this smells like old engine oil.

Amazing product- the real deal!!
I lost touch with the removal of Creosote from the market and resorted to Wicks non- Creosote substitute brand. I have a farm and need wood protection and the non Creosote just fades and drys out so quickly. I used this companies brand and it is amazing-deep penetration with dark colour coating-unlike others that look tea colour. I read some of the reviews and was almost put off- but now realise they read as competitor trying to put people off this company. I used it to cover plywood boards on a metal shipping container and tree posts. Both remarkable coverage and weather proofing. Hope this review helps other. Highly recommend.

Why will no one from this company answer the phone? Their customer service is non-existent. All I want is an invoice, nothing more as we already have the product...

We have not received any form of communication from your company regarding an invoice. We bought through eBay, delivery was excellent but there's been no reply to an email sent on 14th March. I have rung innumerable times, during working hours, but haven't been able to speak to anyone. Resorted to checking your company on the Companies House website & finding your VAT number online. Job done although it would have been far quicker to have had a reply from you.

This is not Creosote, dont be fooled like I was.

Terrible company. Didn’t dispatch my order for 2 days knowing the weekend was coming so a 2-3 day delivery isn’t coming for at least 6 days. I’ve lost money on a job as they let me down with this delivery. I’ll never use them again and don’t recommend them as they don’t reply to emails. Very bad
