PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY ... EVER

They set me up paying £250 a month for 5 years in 2019, not affordable but I did it somehow. After 2 years they said I could reduce it, but had to increase from 5 to 6 years, I didn't want to extend but ended up agreeing. The following year they reduced it again because their calculations deemed I was paying more than I could afford, but there was no mention if it extending further this time. One of my debtors continued to chase me for their debt for the first year, despite agreeing to the IVA and agreeing not to contact me, all correspondence was forwarded on to deal with, unknowingly I ended up with a CCJ from them in addition to them being included in the IVA, which should never have happened. Creditfix customer service staff called me stupid and said there is no CCJ, then after providing evidence took 6 months for them to finally accept it was in place telling me it would disappear when the IVA was discharged - that is completely incorrect. They then told me it would be removed within 4 weeks, no surprise but 4 months later it's still in place. It has taken over 12 months to raise a complaint, of which I still have not been given a reference number for or an update, yet they expect me to believe my complaint will be resolved in 8 weeks, with 4 weeks already passed. Additionally without my knowledge they have extended the term for a further 1 year and 4 months, increased my monthly amount, said I cannot reduce the term 'because that's not how it works' so I will now be paying almost £4k above the initial debt I went to them with - so much for some of the debt being written off. I have had no choice but to contact a solicitor. Please please if you are considering an IVA research thoroughly and do not under any circumstances use Creditfix they have broken me and I have at times been too low for words.

Horrendous service.

Horrendous service.
I am still in an IVA 8years after initially joining them. All payments made on time yet additional payments somehow magically appear. I'm at the point of taking legal action against them now.
Random Asian cuatowmr service representatives giving varied amounts owed.. Not a single one can give an exact amount.
Genuinely, please don't use creditfix. They have a huge hold over you, like me, I'm still trapped 8 years later

They were great until a few years ago.

They were great until a few years ago.

Now its no response unless pushed and even then its a non-response. In short, I've been chasing them for a month about how much of my windfall I can keep in order to go ahead with applying for a mortgage, that I'm now being chased by my landlord about. The only response I have received was a non-response at 5am, to which I immediately replied due to the fact I was awake at that time. I asked clearly what information I needed for I could go ahead with my application and still I haven't received anything. It took 3 weeks to receive a non-response.

I've had previous issues with them hounding me for my annual review - despite the fact I had already sent the information. I have even sent chaser emails and requests for confirmation and had nothing, except them threatening to fail my IVA.

I will be submitting a formal complaint and, if nothing is heard from this, will be referring to the ombudsmen as not only is this affecting me financially, and mentally but also my landlord

Edit 2025 -
It took 4 phone calls ontop of multiple emails for them to confirm the gift I received could be kept. Now i've been chasing the completion of closure of my account since August 2024, its now March 2025. I've been told its gone to the Closures team since August and so far no real update. I struggle to believe it takes 7 months to close an account, after having worked in Law myself. If you're understaffed, tell people. Explain the issue instead of giving the same updates taxi firms give when their cars are "just around the corner" despite still not turning up for another 45 minutes.

Rude, arrogant and obnoxious,

Totally rude staff, bully you into paying there and then when trying to arrange a payment plan, I owe only 1 months payment now and I was forced to go into my wagestream account and draw out money, when I only had 2 remaining payments of my IVA, threatened me with bankruptcy when paid in 7 years worth with little or no problem. They're not interested in your problems, only when you apply for IVA, Avoid like the plague

Avoid creditfix at all costs…

I’ve had the worst 4 years so far with creditfix, I had a call in 2020 during the pandemic when I was at my lowest, from a man with an Asian accent, claiming to be ‘Chris’. Who told me they can get me out of debt & relieve the stress & worry. And the main selling point, was that I can apply to have my IVA written off within a few payments. They came back & told me I owed nearly double what I thought, to creditors I’d never heard of. At the time I was depressed & at the lowest point of my life, so I didn’t think about it & agreed. This company then told me they would pass my details on to creditfix & then would only be contactable by WhatsApp. They then changed the goal posts & said laws have changed so they can’t write my IVA off early, then low & behold they go missing & can’t contact them anymore. Creditfix started off really helpful, but in the last year or so, I’ve had minimal contact, can never get hold of anyone on the phone & in January they just put my payments up without my review being done. It took me weeks, multiple calls & emails to even speak to anybody. Wish I never started this it’s been utter hell

I’d like to know why creditfix allow these third party companies to give them your details exactly?

When it comes to annual reviews they…

When it comes to annual reviews they will always try to get more money out of you. This time they are asking for money as I got a small bonus at Christmas,so I sent an extra 3payslips showing that I also received less pay (£1500 in total) as I had been off with depression and on top of this high inflation rates. This does not make any difference to them, they just to get as much money out of you andpressure you by saying you will fail your agreement. I would use a different company to help you, wish this was better than I thought it would be but when they try to take more money from you even when I took home less it's not fair.

No reponse, poor service.

I submitted my documents for an annual review on January 16th. On numerous occasions I was told that the documents had been received. Still got intimidating messages saying that my IVA may be at risk.
Finally got through to a person last week and still not heard back. This is shocking service and my advice for anyone considering an IVA is to avoid Creditfix like the plague.

Started my IVA journey with Vanguard

Started my IVA journey with Vanguard, which then got passed to Ebengate, which now I receiver emails from Creditfix! 3 different providers all getting my details! After 6 and a half years (1 year extended as I own my home) 6months the charge is STILL ON MY PROPERTY. I've chased up chased up phone calls emails they're dragging it out . Land registry have been amazing and said its down to them! And they're just saying be patient??? 6years it's meant to be, not 6months after. I want to move on with my bloody life! Can't do naff all til they've removed it. And I got solicitors breathing down my neck why it's taking so long! Unbelievable DO NOT GET AN IVA WITH CREDITFIX staff lovely to talk to. But the whole process after they've been taking your money for years is shocking.

CreditFix in the UK???

Are we talking about the IVA company in the UK?
This has been linked to a Creditfix in the US.

IF UK CREDITFIX I URGE YOU TO READ THIS!
(data taken from TP in Dec 23)

I was checking Creditfix on TrustPilot and saw they have an unbelievable amount of 5* reviews. LIKE A LOT!
I counted 13 that had been submitted in just 4 hours!
TrustPilot shows they had 909 reviews in the past 30 days whereas other IVA companies seem to get around 100 per month. Granted that the IVA company is busier than others but this is ridiculous!

5* reviews on TrustPilot are probably done by the company themselves but this is a HUGE amount.

It can give a person's first, surname and a brief review, which sometimes includes their current financial situation and how the IVA company have saved the day!

If a review gives details of their financial situation but this review was actually written by CreditFix, wouldn't that be fraud?
This isn't Joe Bloggs complaining about service at Tesco. It's disclosing details of that person's finances and stating such things as "They helped when I had a family bereavement"

The reviewer's name can be verified on the IVA register to confirm they are in an IVA. I've checked and they are.

I raised this with TrustPilot in October and kept chasing this up but they seem unwilling to do much about it.

Would give them zero stars

Would give them zero stars, if I could have. I have emailed them so many times I have lost count, telling them I am no longer able to pay the IVA, which I was informed by a debt specialist, I had paid their fee in full by the time I emailed them to cancel it. They have completely ignored every email I have sent them and continue to bombard me with emails a texts telling me that I need to update my payment details. I cancelled the debit payment, and got a new bank card, so they can't keep trying to take money from my account.

Stay away from creditfix

Creditfix have been an absolute nightmare for me. My first complaint being that they use hard pressure sales tactics to convince you that an iva is your best option but in my case I believe that's not necessarily true.
Of course they cover this up by pressuring you sigh a declaration that you have been given all the facts prior to starting your iva and to state you were not coersed into the deal.
Communication with creditfix is terrible I have received conflicting information from different representatives making the annual review process very difficult to navigate.
Creditfix do not make allowances for vulnerable people with complex mental health difficulties or people with other conditions such as substance abuse that effects their ability to budget effectively.
The creditfix phone app is an absolute joke. My app has not been updated at any point during the iva meaning that you never really know if they decide to increase your monthly payment as they don't make much effort in contacting you by other means. If you send creditfix an email be prepared for it not to be answered.
This month (Jan 2024) I have been left with no money to buy food or put fuel in my car to be able to get to work Thank God I don't have children that depend on me and my income.
I would advise anyone to avoid creditfix they are unprofessional and all they are interested in is profiting from other people's problems.

I really want to emphasize on how I almost got robbed of my hard earned money if not for letters of my photo all would have gone off to the sky without a trace of anything wrong. There are other brokers too which have better service such as “Easy bee” and so on. Once been letdown a red flag is a must then.

DO NOT USE THIS CORRUPT COMPANY TO FIX…

DO NOT USE THIS CORRUPT COMPANY TO FIX YOUR CREDIT PROBLEMS!

I incurred a serious accident at work, and wrongly, seeked help from Creditfix. I later, resumed work, but with less hours, and no matter how low my wages went, they have never lowered my IVA payment, even though, this payment is based on your earnings.

I have emailed them numerous times asking for help, sending them bank statements and wage slips, yet they do not respond. There is no help. Any contact asking for help falls on deaf ears. THEY DO NOT CARE!!!

There was a time, at the beginning of my IVA when I did earn more money, and automatically, they raised the IVA payment to my creditors, but when my income declined, they never lowered it. Probably keeping money for themselves.

Now, in a strong arm tatic, they are threatening me with BANKRUPTCY, petitioned by them!!! Who the hell are these CROOKS? Forcing a person, who almost died in a worksite accident, to make an unjustly payment which is not inline with my income, and if I don't THEY WILL FILE FOR MY OWN BANKRUPTCY? SHOCKING!!!

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Creditfix needs to be ashamed of their practices.
