Identify theft fixed

I had identity theft in March 2024 and tried fixing it myself but wasn’t really getting anywhere with the credit bureaus and credit card companies. I used Lexington for about 6 months and they weren’t much help other than sending disputes that were getting verified over and over. I got credit firm in February and told them I had identity theft. The guy I spoke to on the phone told me to get a police report, send it to them, and they would do the rest. I did and now all of the fraudulent accounts are gone and my credit is back to normal. I can’t believe that I wasted so much time dealing with this when there was a specific thing that just needed to be done. Credit firm did its job, they did it well and fast. These guys know credit.

Hello,

We take feedback very seriously and would like to address the concerns raised in this review.

After carefully reviewing our records, we have not identified any account where a payment was successfully processed under the circumstances described in this review. Our system shows that the only enrollment associated with the surname Crockett attempted to enroll in October 2023; however, all payment attempts were declined by the card issuer, and no payment was ever processed. As a result, the account was automatically cancelled due to non-payment, and no services were billed or rendered.

Because the review states that payment was taken and that the account continued to be charged for six months, we would genuinely like the opportunity to investigate this further to ensure there has not been any misunderstanding or confusion with another service.

We previously reached out through Trustpilot, requesting additional information, but did not receive a response. If the reviewer did interact with our company, we encourage you to please contact us directly so we can locate the account and resolve the matter promptly.

You can reach our support team at: info@creditfirm.net

We are always happy to investigate and resolve any legitimate concerns, and we remain committed to transparency and customer satisfaction.

I’m up 100 points. Started service on New Years and already up in to the 650s. I haven’t had a score this high since, ever, lol. Best part, I’m not doing anything and creditfirm is doing all the work. 700 score is next!

It actually works

It actually works. I’m just as surprised as anyone because I used another credit repair company and they did nothing. I decided to send disputes myself and got a few things removed but I couldn’t get the last few accounts removed no matter what I tried. So I decided to give credit firm a try. A few months at $50 won’t break me. And guess what? They actually got the 3 accounts I have been working on for 2 years removed after 3 months. I have no idea why they got the stuff removed when I couldn’t but at this point, I’m just glad this is finally over and I can finally have a good credit score for the first time in my life.

Hi Timurlan,
We removed 2 inquiries from your Experian report and the late payment information previously reported in the CEFCU auto loan (opened on 8/12/2022). The account is now reporting as never late on all 3 credit bureaus. The remaining CEFCU account (opened 7/22/2020) verified the accuracy of the 3 late payments and refused to remove the late payments via disputes, payment history verification, and goodwill requests. We provided you with updates regarding your case via email on 5/27/2025, 6/5/2025, 6/11/2025, 7/15/2025, 7/17/2025, 8/28/2025, and 9/8/2025. The remaining credit furnishers reporting inquiries have verified their permissible purpose for initiating the inquiries per the FCRA.

Hi Juan,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re not fully satisfied with our services. Over the course of the program, we submitted 4 rounds of disputes, 3 rounds of method-of-verification requests, 3 Section 609 requests, and mailed more than 25 goodwill letters to creditors reporting late payments on your behalf.

Unfortunately, the account information was consistently verified as accurate. Because of the ongoing late payments on your American Express account, new 90-day lates continued to be reported, which limited the effectiveness of both goodwill requests and disputes.

That said, we were able to achieve some positive results—specifically, the removal of 23 charge-off statuses from the payment history of your JPMCB (Chase) account (covering 9/2021 through 7/2023). However, the new late payments reported on your American Express and Fifth Third accounts prevented these improvements from translating into meaningful score increases.

I truly regret that the results did not meet your expectations, but please know that we worked diligently on your file and exhausted every available avenue. I sincerely wish you the best on your credit journey and hope to see your scores improve as your recent positive payment history begins to build.

Best regards

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. This company is a complete waste of time and money. They promised results and delivered nothing. For months, I barely got any updates unless I chased them down repeatedly. When I did hear from them, it was vague, unhelpful, and clearly thrown together with no real effort. It felt like they just wanted to collect a monthly fee while doing the bare minimum , if anything at all. Lazy, unresponsive, and completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This was beyond disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We genuinely value your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear that your expectations were not fully met.

It’s important to us that you understand how the credit repair process works and what credit repair companies are legally allowed to do. Credit repair companies cannot unilaterally remove negative items from your credit reports. Derogatory information can only be removed if it is found to be inaccurate, incomplete, not legally compliant, or if it ages off (typically after 7 years from the original delinquency date).

Our role is to initiate formal investigations into the accuracy and compliance of the information being reported on your credit accounts, such as balances, payment history, account status, dates, and more. We request documentation to validate these details. If an account is found to have errors or legal inconsistencies, it may be corrected or removed. However, if the information is verified as accurate and compliant, it must legally remain on your credit report until it expires naturally.

Because of this, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes or timelines for item removal.

Regarding your case, you enrolled in our service on April 24, 2025. That same day, we processed your file, initiated disputes and validation requests with the credit bureaus and data furnishers.

Unfortunately, in the following month, a new $600 collection account from Paragon Revenue was reported to your credit file, which contributed to a drop in your credit scores. We immediately began working to dispute and validate this new account.

At the same time, the credit bureaus verified seven accounts as accurate. We responded by submitting a method of verification request to challenge the validity of that outcome.

Shortly thereafter, the U.S. Department of Education reported a 90-day delinquency on your student loan, which caused your scores to decline further. We advised you to contact your servicer to request deferment or forbearance, and we also submitted disputes related to this new delinquency.

The current round of investigations is still active and should be completed within the next few weeks.

We’re sorry if you felt that our communication didn’t meet your expectations. In the two months and four days you were enrolled with us, our team responded to all 10 emails you sent, providing the best information available at each stage of the process.

Please understand that credit repair is a structured process, and timelines are governed by federal law:
• 30–45 days for credit bureau disputes
• 30 days for debt validation
• 15 days for method of verification requests
• 30 days for 609 requests
• 15–60 days for CFPB investigations
• 15 days for permissible purpose verification
• etc...

These timelines are outside our control, but we always aim to move efficiently within the process.

We truly regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is valuable, and we will use it to improve our communication and service. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to work on your behalf.

** Scroll to bottom for most recent update**

Review Jan 14, 2025:

I recently signed up with Credit Firm to help repair my credit and wanted to document my journey to provide transparency and updates for others considering their services.

I’ve been working on improving my credit for some time, and after researching various companies, I chose Credit Firm due to their straightforward pricing and solid reputation. Within just a day of signing up, they confirmed that my dispute letters were sent out—a promising start!

For context, here are my starting credit scores:
• TransUnion: 615
• Experian: 611
• Equifax: 625

My primary goals include removing negative accounts from my credit report (such as OpenSky, Infiniti, and Verizon) and improving my overall credit profile. I’ll be documenting my progress here over the coming weeks, sharing updates about the process and results to help others make informed decisions about Credit Firm.

So far, I appreciate the responsiveness and quick action from the team. I look forward to seeing how they handle my case and the impact it has on my credit scores.

Stay tuned for updates!

Update Feb 24, 2025:

One item was removed from my reports so far. Not sure if I could have achieved this by sending out the letters but so far I am very happy with my experience. Communication has been personalized and prompt, <24 hour turn around each time I've reached out.

Scores:
• TransUnion: 721
• Experian: 709
• Equifax: 699

Going into my 2nd month of service I am satisfied thus far and would recommend. We will see if any effort is made this month or if the service simply sends the initial batch and sits back. Stay posted! Upgrading to 5/5 stars for now!

Hi Jon,
I'm very sorry to hear about your displeasure with our services. According to our records, we were able to remove several late payments from the 4 derogatory accounts reporting in your credit reports as well as a $7,939 charged-off US Bank credit card from Experian that was scheduled to report until July 2029. Your TransUnion Score increased from 685 to 752 and your Equifax Score increased from 612 to 734. I'm still working on getting your Experian score but, I will send you the information as soon as we have it.

I've been sending clients to credit firm for about 3 or 4 months and have started seeing some great results. Clients are coming back with higher credit scores, fewer collections, charge offs, etc... and much more ready for a mortgage. I've referred clients to other credit repair companies before and it got or miss but, I really like what I'm seeing from credit firm so far.

Waste of time waste of money

What a waste of time I spent money that I don't have to try to fix my credit they barely even get back to you and if you try to call them nobody can help you the only thing they can do is send a message to somebody to somebody to email you back and they're not even good with that I even just told them not too long ago that I wasn't able to pay but I'll let them know when I can pay again so then when I send an email telling them when they can take the money which was on September 14th here we are September 21st nobody got back to me so I just sent them a message to cancel everything I paid in May July and August and only four things have been removed Lexington law has removed things faster than this Lexington law may not dispute everything at once unless they changed but at least I can say the amount that Lexington law does do they get stuff done It is extremely rare that I write a bad review but I feel like I needed to say something please do not waste your money on this I'm going back to Lexington law thank God for Sezzle because I will be using this so that way I can try to pay for their services so if I'm going to spend money that I don't have I rather spend more to make sure I'm getting what I'm paying for update 9/22/2024 still doesn't change that I sent an email and 8 days about restarting service and getting a letter from a credit bureau no one gets back to me but then when I do a bad review somebody wants to reply lack of communication from this company is horrible Don't remember anybody telling me that they'll keep my payments on hold until the credit bureau got back to them but either way I sent the email nobody got back to me which is messed up And then they say the amount that I spent so far sounds like whoever is replying is being very sarcastic doesn't matter how much I spend communication is the key And plus I feel like whoever is also writing The reply is making fun of my situation sorry that I had a moment where I couldn't pay I have physical health issue so sometimes I have to prioritize my health needs over my credit
Update 9/23/2024 nothing in Spam did a whole search in the email and the only thing that popped up that's recent is the email from September the 14th where nobody's gotten back to me This really sucks that I'm going to have to spend money that I really don't have just to make sure that a company gets back to me when I contact them And if someone really did get back to me I would have never done this review to begin with nor did I know that my payments were going to be paused until the credit he was where to say something back and also in that same email I also had a screenshot of a message stating that a credit bureau won't be doing anything since I'm using a repair company and nobody got back to me regarding that

Dear Lisa,
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. According to your latest reports;
The $728 charged-off TBOM/Aspire credit card was removed from all 3 credit bureaus.
The $594 Paramount Recovery System collection was removed from all 3 credit bureaus.

Equifax removed all late payment information from the Covington Credit account.

Experian removed a 60-day late payment from the Express credit card, a 90-day late payment from Fingerhut, and 5 late payments from the MoneyLion account. Experian also removed the $186 National Credit Adjusters collection and the $165 National Credit Adjusters collection.

TransUnion removed all late payments from the Possible Financial account (8V8O5K6U2XI11R36A531W....).

Unfortunately, Capital One reported 4 new late payments since you enrolled in our services, and a new collection was reported by Jefferson Capital Systems which is the reason why your credit scores have not increased.

We have not charged you since July and stated earlier this month that we are putting all payments on hold until the current round of investigations has been completed and we have a new update for you.

Based on your investment of $149.97, the results mentioned above have surely given you a good return on your investment. Good luck moving forward with your credit repair journey.

- UPDATED REPLY - 9/23/24 -

Hi Lisa,

I’m truly sorry to hear about your health challenges. Please know that my intention was never to make light of your situation. I simply wanted to provide clarity on why your credit scores may not have improved and to highlight the positive changes to your credit reports.

Regarding the communication concerns, I see that we've received 4 phone calls and 27 emails from you since May, all of which have been responded to. If you don't see a reply please check your SPAM folder. Having said that, I will carefully review your communication history to investigate if there was any breakdown or miscommunication on our end.

I apologize if our service did not meet your expectations. I sincerely hope you experience a full and swift recovery with your health.

Warm regards,
Deborah

Hi Jamie,
You enrolled in our service on 6/28/2024 and sent us your credit reports on 7/1/2024. We processed your file the same day and mailed out dispute and debt validation letters to the credit bureaus and furnishers the same day. We also provided you with the login credentials to our online portal. Your initial payment for our services was declined on 7/3/2024. We communicated with you on 7/3, 7/4, 7/5, and 7/8, answering your questions about your case, the work that we were doing, and the billing issues. We tried running the payments again a few times but, the transactions were declined. On 7/30/2024 our system retried the payment and it went through. On 8/7/2024 we received a call stating that you had previously canceled the service and requested a refund for the charge on 7/30/2024 (the initial payment for our services). Although we did not receive any cancellation requests via email, phone, fax, mail, etc... prior to 8/7/2024, we still processed the refund and sent you a confirmation via email.

I'm not exactly sure how we're conning anyone when we worked on your case, mailed out several letters to the credit bureaus and collection agencies, without ever receiving a payment. And when the initial payment finally went through you asked for a refund, which we processed.

Waste of Time and Money - Absolutely no improvement in my credit score

I've been with Creditfirm.net for the past three months, and all they've done is take my $150. There has been absolutely no improvement in my credit score. They claimed to have sent letters to all three credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) and assured me that I'd receive a response within 30 to 45 days. However, it's been over 60 days and I haven't heard anything from any of the bureaus. I'm still with them, but I won't be staying past this month unless there is some miracle.

As of 7/16/2024, Experian removed the Merchants Credit Bureau collection account along with 5 incorrect names, and 9 old addresses. We sent you an updated Experian report via email on 7/16/24 at 11:13 am CT as verification of the removal. Congratulations on being collection-free on Experian. The other credit bureaus are showing the account in dispute.

I had my identity stolen a few years ago and have been trying to clean things up over the course of the last year and a half but, the credit card companies and credit bureaus and not been very helpful. I finally decided to hand things off to a professional service and I went with CreditFirm.net because of the great reviews. They did not disappoint. I’m usually not one to write reviews…

I’m usually not one to write reviews but, after neglecting my credit for years I finally had the courage to take a look at my credit report and I was in complete shock. So much stuff I didn’t even know existed. Old debt for Comcast, AT&T, an apartment complex I left because they had roaches, car insurance, medical, so much!!!! Pages and pages of companies I’ve never heard off all saying that I owe the money. Made my head spin. I was going to let it go but, I decided that I was going to do something about my scores once and for all. I signed up a few months ago with creditfirm.net and although we’re not done yet, we’re making great progress. I had 17 accounts removed so far and my scores are starting to go up. I know that there’s a lot more work to do and that this process takes time but, for the first time in a while I have hope, hope that things will be better, and I have faith in creditfirm. God bless you, the work that you do is so important, thank you for helping me!

Wasted time and money.

Credit firm was great at first. Then just fizzled out. Was notified of only 2 rounds of disputes by credit bureaus. 1 for employment history/addresses and 2 actual credit disputes. Then never got any notifications since. Now every month though the portal says they’re disputing but I question if they’re really doing the work. Those disputes happened in 11/21 and it’s now 5/22. 10 months without a single point increase. Oh and the communication, this company gets a 0. You can never talk to your counselor, they have to call you back. I waited over a week to hear back from mine before I said enough is enough and just cancelled. Wasted $500.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for reaching out to us through TrustPilot and allowing us an opportunity to resolve this issue. According to your latest credit reports, we have seen some progress with the removal of derogatory information including a $1,100 charged-off Capital credit card from Equifax, the removals of late payments from a Wells Fargo auto loan on Equifax, the removal of a Nationwide Recovery Systems medical collection from all 3 bureaus and a collection from Phoenix Financial Systems from all 3 bureaus.

I'll email you a complete detailed update once it is completed.

Although we had some success with the removal of several accounts, there were quite a few more derogatory charged-off accounts actively reporting outstanding/past due balances. This is the reason why the scores didn't change much.

The fact that you have not received the result letters from the credit bureaus is concerning, which I why I just called TransUnion to make sure that they had been receiving the letters that we have been sending them.

According to the TransUnion representative I spoke with, within the last month there have been 3 separate disputes initiated on 4/1/2022, 4/28/2022, and 5/2/2022. Please feel free to confirm this information with TransUnion, you can reach them directly at (800)-916-8800.

I will contact Experian and Equifax next and email you the information I gather from them.

Regarding our service, with all clients, we try to set very clear expectations. There is no magic to credit repair and no secret letters that can delete everything derogatory from your credit reports. We use the FCRA, FDCPA, FCBA, etc... for compliance verification and attempt the removal of derogatory information due to inaccuracies or non-compliance to the aforementioned laws.

The work we completed in your case included, credit bureaus disputes, section 609 requests, method of verification, debt validation, investigations through the CFPB, FTC, OCC, etc....

We even reached out to you in February to find out whether you would be open to settling some of the charged-off accounts in order to speed up the process. We usually do not handle debt settlements for our clients but, we wanted to help as much as we could and do everything possible to increase your scores.

Regarding the communication issue that you reported, according to our system, I'm showing that every note you left us in our client portal had been answered and every email has been replied to. I am seeing that you called recently to find out the status of your case and we responded back to let you know that we were in the process of getting an update together and would contact you as soon as it was completed.

I'm very sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with our services. We are constantly striving to provide the best service possible, and I apologize if you didn’t feel that is what you received.
