my last two visits were a nightmare. was told "we are too busy to talk to you" with another saying hi and then walking off.

when i told a member of staff i was willing to pay no more than £500 for a tent i was told "we tell you how much to pay" and then not even bothering to email when promised they would.

i keep getting the impression their is a vendetta against me because on quite days i was also told by the same member to leave the shop even when all i was doing was being friendly and cheerful. due to my heart issues and stress i will not be going back as i value my well being too much.

I ordered a Mountain Equipment Citadel hat which was despatched quickly unfortunately it then snowed heavily and Royal Mail tracking didn’t work. It arrived on a Sunday morning 11 days later than the 48 hour tracked delivery. This obviously was not the sellers fault and they responded to my emails. Anyway the hat has arrived and the pile is much thicker than most hats of it’s type, so I have a cosy alternative to wear in colder weather.

Placed an order for an item shown on website as in stock and received an email confirming refund as not in stock.
Retailers need to be better than this. Either keep your websites up to date or don’t have one.

I recently went to Craigdon Mountain Sports in Perth in search of new hiking shoes/boots.
What I encountered was the most comprehensive boot fitting I have ever experienced.
Karla very patiently explained the mechanics of our feet when walking and where support may be needed. My feet were then measured with a foot gauge, while sitting and standing.
I already had a pair of Alt-berg hiking shoes in mind and these were ordered. It was recommanded that I use a more firm footbed as this would more properly align my feet for a more supportive hike.
Less than a week later I returned to the shop and the hiking shoes were found to be a perfect fit. I can vouch for both the benefits of the footbed and my new hiking shoes. And a huge thank you to Karla for her expertise and patience.
Personally, I will not be going elsewhere for walking/hiking gear. Highly recommanded.

Fitting was done very efficiently and detailed explanation of workings given which I think is needed for a lot of older people.

Took my board in for a wax and edge which they did a really bad job on.

In the words of Mr Miyagi "Wax on, wax off", and it's this second part where they failed; leaving masses of wax on the board. Sadly i didn't spot it until getting home. The response on the phone was "we've never had complaints before" which obviously means it's impossible to have it happen now, or simply that others haven't complained.

Apparently the process is to use a 'speed brush' to remove the majority of the wax and then finish by hand. They obviously never finished the first part correctly and certainly didn't do any checking afterwards.

Until I scrape it myself it's impossible to know the state of the edges.

Still waiting for a response to my email with attachments showing the state of the board as I can’t just pop back in.

I ordered an item online as I was unable to get into store to purchase. The website is great to use and gives clear images of products.
Unfortunately Royal Mail has so far failed to deliver my item, 5 days into 1st class mail delivery.
I was in regular contact with Craigdon staff and even received a phone call letting me know the plan to deal with the failure of delivery. I am so impressed with this level of customer care that it takes the sting out of Royal Mails failure to deliver my order when I expected and needed it.

I had an issue with a new pair of mountain boots purchased from the Inverness store which turned out to have a manufacturing fault. The staff were both knowledgable and helpful in resolving this for me. Exceptional customer service.

Went into the Inverness store to purchase winter boots, fantastic customer service and assistance from the staff. I was encouraged to try on a range of footwear and eventually we managed to find the pair and fit for me. Excellent knowledge and skills from the staff, especially considering I’m very picky with my footwear.

Really poor trucker hat. Not designed the same way as trucker hats although the imagine on the website looks like it.

Emailed them for advice on Scarpa boots fitting, they totally ignored me. My conclusion, either they don't know, despite calling themselves specialists, or they just can't be bothered to respond. Either way, I bought elsewhere from a competitor with a professional approach and who did value my business.

After sending an email to the shop about a new waterproof jacket and trousers and my size of chest included I heard nothing back so I phoned yesterday and spoke to someone about this and got rough prices roughly costing £500 Today I headed through to the shop and got served right away good start I explained that I had lost 4 stone so the guy went and picked up a XXL it didn't fit so he then went and got a Rab waterproof jacket and he explained this is the biggest size in the shop it didn't fit he then went to see if he could get a XXXL he then came back and said that no one had a bigger jacket and there was none on some list to come in when I said I thought that was terrible that I couldn't get a jacket to fit I have seen a lot of people bigger than me out walking with waterproof gear on I was then told that company's see their customers in the shapes of athletes I find this incredible so a total waste of a morning and I came away very disappointed

I cannot praise Mary and her colleagues enough - we bought some heated Hestra ski gloves which failed - the follow up and service was excellent.
This is why one should use a real shop with helpful staff - when there’s a problem they really helped to solve it.

Went into the Inverness store for boots, great professional advice and fitting: They also had a wide selection of womens outsoor clothing. Went on a bit of a spree….

I rang the store to make sure walking boots were in stock before i ordered online. The lady couldn't be any more helpful ,she physically went to check stock for me,also giving me advise on the boots.
I then ordered online and received boots the very next day.
Definitely will buy again,without any hesitation

About 2 years after I bought ski boots in their Edinburgh branch, they weren't fitting well because of changes to my feet (which have problems). The staff at Craigdon took a long time - over an hour - to remould the boots to suit my feet. It took two goes to get it right, with two members of staff getting involved. All for no charge. Very, very helpful people, I'm delighted with the service, thank you.

I ordered a kids snowboard helmet and goggles ,22/12/21, was concerned it wouldn't be delivered on time for Christmas,
It arrived less than 24hours later ,that's the best online experience Iv ever had , absolutely excellent service ,you are great ,

Went into Inverurie craigdon mountain sports today about 5-25 there closing @ 5-30.

I was in desperate need of waterproofs. The lady in whom assisted me was top top class I was worried @ the time and said I’m aware u close in 4 minutes. Didn’t seem to bother her 1 bit in the slightest. I got what I needed and not for a moment did I feel rushed. The gentleman who kindly unlocked the door to let me out 10 minutes after the shop was closed was also very pleasant. I will be back for sure. This time I won’t leave it so late. Sorry I didn’t get names but they know who they are.
