I generally like my Cowboy bike, but I’m giving it 3 stars because of two disappointing issues. I bought the bike about a year ago (or slightly less), and after just one month of use, the pai... See more

I have been in conversation with your AI Assistant about a bottom bracket replacement and I have been promised emails and orders, but nothing materialises. Also I have been twice to one of your service centers for maintenance, spent 140EURO for no practical result... I love the bike, but service is really poor

Proud owner of a Cowboy 3 since Dec 2020. The bike is still running strong and smoothly. Done nearly 12,000 km and loving every ride. So intuitive. I use it mainly for commuting (and the occasional weekend trip) and the battery life (original) is still as it was when I bought it.
The battery connection has become loose and I use a velcro strap to tighten it which works consistently. Otherwise had not a single issue. I would not hesitate to buy a cowboy bike again.

Bike is great.
If only you manage to ride.
Let’s hope for cowboy to deliver it (good luck) then try to ride it. The first problem that comes you full find no repair, no support no replacement piece.
Try to get an answer from the customer support if you can. All they do is bullshitting, ghosting, and from time to time apologising (not the actual support but their automated answer)
They don’t stick spare part and apparently don’t know how to produce them. That’s it you can look at your fancy bike but not ride it.
Too late you paid for it and Cowboy does not care anymore.
My advice, by somewhere else, it is definitely not worth it.

I normally don't take the time to write reviews, but this experience deserves one.
When Cowboy bikes work, they're fantastic. They're smooth, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable to ride.
Unfortunately, that's only true when they're actually working.
If you experience any issue with an electronic component—such as the motor, battery, or other electrical parts—Cowboy completely fails to provide a timely solution. Even authorized Cowboy repair centers often can't obtain the parts they need, leaving bikes sitting unusable for many months or years. (yes its true)
In my experience, none of the Cowboy bikes that have developed issues over the past 1.5 years have been successfully repaired. They're all still out of service. My own bike has been under warranty at an authorized repair shop for seven months, and the replacement motor still hasn't been delivered.
The Cowboy repair subscription is equally disappointing. For 6– out of 12 months, appointments often can't be scheduled because the necessary parts aren't available.
Yet the subscription renews automatically, despite the service being impossible to use.
My advice: don't buy a Cowboy bike. Mechanical and electronic problems can happen with any brand, but what matters is how the company supports its customers afterward. Unfortunately, Cowboy has consistently failed to repair its bikes or provide the parts needed to get them back on the road.

It was a wonderful service! I was shocked by how quickly technical support responded and fixed everything. After years of living in Europe, I’d completely gotten unused to this level of service. 5 stars! And yes, the bike is gorgeous. I bought it for my girlfriend and she loves it too (though it’s a bit tall for shorter people).

I am still awaiting for someone to contact me as promised in reply to my last cowboy trust pilot review. Was this just an AI reply that will never happen?

WARNING — DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Do not buy anything from this company. They were unable to deliver the new battery I paid for, and they still have not refunded my money.
I have now been stuck for over a year with a useless bike and without the money I paid. Despite the time that has passed, the issue remains unresolved.

Cowboy may now be a scam company. I have been waiting for a replacement battery for a year, while the company continues to promise delivery of new bikes within 10 days. The contrast is simply baffling.
When I sarcastically asked the AI support whether I should expect to wait another 100 years, it replied yes...
The number of Cowboy bikes being resold on Leboncoin, combined with the many negative reviews online, is also concerning. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against buying from Cowboy.

After less than a year, the engine of my Cowboy Cruiser ST stopped working. I then brought the bike to my local bike shop and partner of Cowboy, where they ordered a bottom bracket set with torque sensor. This was ordered on June 11, and over 1 month later I still do not have the part. At some point the order stated that the expected delivery would be August, but this information now disappeared, which increases my concern even more. I reached out via email to request a solution for in the meantime but I have not gotten a reply in over a week, despite sending a follow-up. I am incredibly disappointed in the customer service, given the high-end price and "image" of this company. At least a reply and resolution for this topic would be the bare minimum every customer expects. I hope this gets resolved soon and I receive an adequate compensation.

They greatly improved their aftersales. Have to give kudos to them

I rarely leave reviews, but I'm genuinely happy with this bike: from the delivery packaging to the hundred-plus kilometres I've already ridden. Great bike, great mobile app. Big respect to Cowboy!

Bike frame under recall since 30 May 2026 (7+ weeks). Cowboy confirmed the repair was done on 15 June — still no bike, no update, and no reply to multiple emails since. This is a clear breach of the legal 30-day conformity deadline (Art. L217-9 French Consumer Code). Formal notice sent, no response. Escalating to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service and, if needed, to court. Would not recommend Cowboy’s after-sales service based on this experience.
Beautiful bike for running around the city. I would have liked a better battery, but very easy to remove and charge back up. Only issue after a few years use has been the brakes, but still good enough.

I’ve been experiencing a faulty battery on my Cowboy bike for over a week now. I reported the issue through the app chat 7+ days ago and have not received any response or update from customer support. This is the second time I’ve faced delayed support from Cowboy (I had a similar issue two years ago that was only resolved after escalating publicly).
The bike is currently unusable, and the lack of communication is extremely frustrating, especially given the price point and brand reputation. I hope this review prompts a faster resolution, as I’d prefer to continue being a satisfied customer.

I love my C2 ! It has been my commute companion for over 7 years and never let me down apart from an occasional flat tire.
I mostly enjoy the smooth pedal assist that feels very natural as if someone is pedaling along with you : no gear shifting, no assit-mode switching, all for a more natural experience while biking.
Sadly, the Cowboy organization has not been exemplary on delivery : long and consecutive delays on product delivery and even worse lead times on spare parts. You can read all about it on social media.
Let's hope that recent takeover : 1/ stays loyal to the Cowboy product phylosofy and 2/ maximizes the efforts to drastically improve its after sales service to restore trust in what is still a marvelous bike.

No customer support
No one is responding, my bike is broken since novembre 2024 !
The bike shop selling Cowboy stopped last year in toulouse, no news…
Very expensive bike, no customer support, specific parts only for cowboy impossible to replace.

I made a purchase for parts on the 25th of June. I have not received an invoice, a pro forma nor a tracking number for DHL to know where things are at. I have contacted via chat three times and have received no response.I feel ignored.
