The wild duck population is very happy!

I buy mixed poultry corn to feed to the wild ducks that we encounter on our morning dog walks. Up until now I have bought the corn from a local pet shop or from a large online retailer. However the price kept going up. Countrywide not only were cheaper per 20kg sack, but even after including the delivery charge they still worked out to be less than my previous suppliers. The corn appears to be of equal quality to my previous purchases and the mallards seem extremely satisfied too! Excellent customer service and a very quick delivery.

Very disappointed

I ordered a pair of Just Togs safety boots online. The boots were delivered promptly but on inspection the size on the packaging was the size I ordered but the boots themselves were actually a smaller size, and correctly labelled as the smaller size. Due to my opening the parcel late in the day I had to wait until the following morning to contact CountryWide.
I explained my problem and was told that the Sales Team would have to handle my case, and as it was a Saturday, they were not available but someone would ring me back on Monday morning to help. The lady on the help desk then took my name and personal details and also briefly summarized the reason I had called about.
No one called back on Monday morning so I called the same number that I had rung on the Saturday in thr afternoon.I was immediately put on hold for 10 minutes before someone answered. I recapped the problem regarding the boots, and also the conversation that I had had on Saturday. After some checking it became apparent that the size work boot I required was not in stock. Unfortunately I required a pair of boots urgently as my old pair had finally given up so I enquired about a refund. I was asked for my email address as I would then receive an email containing a free returns label, and the details of where to return the incorrect sized boots. I also gave my card details that I used for the online purchase so that the delivery costs could be refunded, and once the incorrect sized boots had been received back by CountryWide they would then be able to refund the actual boot price. It has been 3 days since that phone call and I have not yet received the email. I work in a very busy stable where I don't really have the time to keep stopping to use my phone.
I am very disappointed with the level of customer care I have received. Both ladies I spoke to were polite and helpful on the phone but either they didn't follow up on notes they had made, or upon work done by others.
I shall have to try to call tomorrow to finalise this mess. In the meantime I now have find alternative footwear to work in.

Appalling customer service

I recently opened an account to get Countrywide deliver & instal our gas bottles. After the first delivery/installation, when we next went to use the gas it didn't come through. On investigation the gas had been switched off by the driver/installer (fair enough, on safety grounds, I thought). However, when I opened the valve it was immediately apparent that a hose had been damaged during the installation as gas came fizzing out. I rang Countrywide who spoke to their driver/installer. He blamed ME saying that I interfered with the installation (I said 'hi' as he had not rung the door bell to announce his presence, but I did not touch anything). Countrywide took his word over mine and refused to do anything! Suufice to say, they won't hear from me again, but my country neighbours will.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your review.

Following your review and your discussions with our LPG management team, we are confident that we have undertaken a thorough investigation of your complaint and have provided a fair final response. We have justified why we believe that the damage to your equipment could not have been caused by our delivery driver or the LPG cylinder supplied by Countrywide; particularly as we did not exchange the cylinder connected to the hose you have advised is leaking.

I am sorry that you are unhappy with our final response. As we have tried our very best to resolve your complaint and are unable to escalate this internally any further, I would suggest you contact the Utilities ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution). The Utilities ADR are a free of charge service and you can start your complaint online at https://www.utilitiesadr.co.uk/.

Lack of communication

I ordered 7 trellis panels and received 3. Nowhere in the paperwork did it indicate that the 4 missing panels were not in stock and consequently the order had been cancelled. It was only once I emailed to enquire that I found out about this. Totally unsatisfactory and I wouldn't have purchased a part order given the choice.

It's missing - please tell me why!

Only received two out of the three things I ordered, with no explanation. I was left to ring to follow up, and discover missing item was no longer in stock.

Useless

Asking for a review when I haven't even received my order yet ! Not stating on the website that it's not click and collect - its click pay and wait over 5 days for delivery to your local store ! When Bromyard has my order in stock why not just send a Purchase order over instead of shipping from defford what they've already got ! Utter madness !

Good Morning,

Thank you for your review.

All of our online orders are sent from our central warehouse. Our Click & Collect service takes 2-3 days to be delivered into the store. The store will then contact you when your order is ready for collection, I'm sorry this did not happen.

I've spoken to the store and I can confirm your order is ready for collection.

I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I have never had such a bad experience …

I have never had such a bad experience ordering online for a click and collect as I have had with countrywide. I ordered my items 10 days ago and they are still not available for collection. My local store have been great but when they can't even talk to their own head office to track it down then it makes it very hard to find out any information. If countrywide wasn't the only place I could purchase my item I would have cancelled the order and gone elsewhere. I can safely say though that I will never be ordering anything from countrywide online.

Very poor service.

Very poor service.
Did not fulfill the order after taking the money for 3pairs of wellingtons then 5days later emailing to say 2pairs were not available.
I am a points card holder and spend a large amount in store on horse feedstuffs now am looking at alternative supplier.
If items are shown in stock ,ordered and paid for I expect them to be delivered.
