Would not go back
Went in because this was the closest atra (40 miles)and transmission is still under rebuilt warranty and Im out of town. My truck was having problems shifting and was leaking transmission fluid. They told me my transfer case was not working and would need to be fixed. After leaving there I pull over lock my hubs in and surprise 4 wheel drive. But my transmission is still leaking and shifting hard. Lost half a day and got nothing done to my truck but they wanted me to come back in a week to check the leak and look at the transfer case that works.

It took them 6 days to look at my car
It took them 6 days to look at my car, run tests and diagnose it (incorrectly btw) Then the manager calls me and says they are unfit to fix it. He stated “ ive been off and idk why they took on your vehicle in the first place”. The wholetime they had my car ive been paying for a rental. Im dealing with an extended warranty company so i had to get my vehicle towed to another shop that took ONLY 4 hours to call me back with test results and the repair was underway SAME DAY! Very good staff!
Very good staff. The manager was able to test drive with me and give an accessment on my truck’s transmission. I haven’t done the repairs yet. I wish they could do something to improve the price, because it’s a lot for a trans rebuilt.

I came to Cottman of Manassas with my 2000 Dodge Dakota 5 speed manual shift, the truck would not go into 5th and reverse after repairs from an auto shop that wanted me to buy another transmission. I went to a Cottman professional tranny shop instead.
Cottman delivered by repairing the original transmission gear box. Leonard, the owner/operator was very fair and professional. Cottman was also accommodating when I had to leave the truck a few days after it was complete due to work travel. Cost estimate was spot on, even applied a military discount. Great job with no issues!!!!!

Very nice people, quality workmanship
Very nice people! There were a few hiccups, but I was treated with complete respect and understanding and the mechanics were willing to work with me. My car is running really well and the turn-time was good!
