Cornwall council absolute shambles

This is a review for Cornwall county council I have over the past 6-months had to deal with both the housing department and the tax department both departments give timescales neither able to adhere to them they simply do not respond to any correspondence you send to them. when you telephone them they are rude and incompetent and completely unhelpful. The people who work for the council have terrible attitude when you discuss matters with them and have an attitude of what do you expect us to do about it. The housing register is a joke every property is given priority to homeless only so no other families in Cornwall have a shot at getting homes. The council are not interested in trying to help people and families who are hard-working and paying taxes they only give priority and help to people who are homeless from their own actions such as non-payment of rent, anti-social behaviour, substance users, prison leavers etc. Basically if you are a decent person who pays your bills, works and keeps a roof over your head, if anything unfortunate happens to you (like in my situation where I have had a life changing medical event and am now disabled) the council will not help you in any aspect until you are completely broken and homeless and destitute. It was a sad day for Cornwall when all of the local parish councils closed and all services were put in a central Cornwall council system in Truro. The residents of Cornwall deserve better than what we are receiving from Cornwall council especially in view of the astronomical charges made and increases from them each year - increases each year and all we are receiving is a reduced substandard service from them. I wish they could be held accountable but even if you go through to the complaints department they are equally incompetent- they advised a investigation would be made and response within 10 working days I am now on working day number 30 and still 0 response.

2 months after an email to them and they still haven't replied

Tried to pay my council tax on the 1st December - something was wrong with the website - then i tried several times using their telephone system to pay - kept telling me that I couldn't pay £0 when I was paying £237! Clearly that too was broken but they allowed people to call that number anyway. Got through to someone who told me they couldn't help but gave me a direct number to ring - called that but then while I was waiting, I realised I WAS PAYING for the phone calls because my credit had gone right down to practically £0. I was not very pleased. It's not MY FAULT that I can't pay but I'm paying lots of extra money to try to make that payment?! Does that make sense. So sent an email.
It is now over 2 MONTHS SINCE MY EMAIL and STILL NO REPLY!
