Beautiful large property overlooking the Helford River. Superbly equipped and perfect for a family holiday. Georgie and her team were excellent with any requests and advice on the area.

Captains rest in Falmouth was a lovely place to stay just across the road to swim and The Boathouse pub was friendly and good food. Beautiful views from the window too.

Cornish Gems actually DO care that you enjoy your stay at one of their properties.
Of all the companies we have used over the years, Cornish Gems is the one that stands out as outstandingly good.
Great properties, great locations and people who go the extra mile.
For sure there may be cheaper holidays.
But paying the extra means trouble free and no disappointments!

Loved our first holiday with Cornish Gems. We stayed at Bosavallam, Nr Port Isaac. Absolute luxury. The nickel bath outside with views of trees was wonderfully relaxing. The whole property inside was clean, all mod cons. Outside was quiet set in lush green gardens. I loved the W.C, the wallpaper, the glass ceiling and the oil on coals was beautiful. We usually go abroad but tried home instead and were not disappointed.

This was our first holiday with Cornish Gems and they did not disappoint! We stayed in the Liner at Falmouth and our beautiful apartment called Sea Song was absolutely spotless with everything you could possibly wish for! Very well done to all the staff. We will definitely be back!

Appreciating that sometimes properties do not always meet expectations as advertised, you would be hard pushed to find fault with Trewartha Cottage. The owners live next door and take absolute pride in ensuring everything meets if not exceeds expectation. Fabulous cottage in a lovely location. Nice touch from Cornish Gems with day one check-in call.
Our only negative experience during our week in Cornwall were some locals who we witnessed being extremely abusive towards tourists. Cognsiant there are ongoing roadworks along the A30, tourists using google maps are being redirected through villages which undoubtedly creates frustration for local trades people. While a minority, they must not lose sight that the region is dependent upon tourism.
Cornish Gems gave us the perfect base for a perfect holiday, with everything we needed and more, and in a beautiful location. The kids rated it 11/10! Would definitely recommend.

I booked a property for a family holiday this Summer with Cornish Gems last Autumn. Unfortunately the booked property was withdrawn early this year but a change of venue was handled promptly & smoothly. The communication regarding the holiday was efficient, the property itself was beautiful & the location great. All three generations had a great holiday!

Overpriced. The barn was nice enough with some stunning features but for £6k for a week, tiny garden, (no jacuzzi like the neighbour) for 5 rooms, you expect the TV to work! No 'normal' i.e. normal digital TV, just various apps. If you don't have Netflix etc... dont bother trying. Additionally the internet was so bad, totally hit and miss the apps didn't work most of the time. No channel 4 app either. We went and bought a TV aerial to plug into the aerial socket on the wall and try and tune in digital TV but no joy - seems there isnt a aerial on the building! So for a very wet week, with kids stuck in the house, a very dismal and depressing experience.
Oh, and a side note, an AGA is hardly a great thing if you like to cook in the summer (and want the house to stay cool).. wouldn't cook anything when we arrived (turns out it was set to 2 out of 5), and upon turning up you sit there sweating all evening because you can't turn it down. Right under the master bedroom too so you get to sweat all night long.
Very frequent high end holiday user - first time I feel properly taken advantage of.

We have stayed at many Cornish Gems properties over the years due to the excellent customer service from the team at Cornish Gems, the standard of the properties, cleanliness, views, locations and more. Highlights were River House in Pentire, Molesworth Manor near Padstow and Ocean Villa in Carlyon Bay. All fantastic properties in great locations.
Ocean Villa was a stunning house close to the beach and the lovely town of Charlestown. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the cleanliness when we arrived was as if no one had ever stayed there, beach towels included, great kitchen with everything you need, lovely pool and garden area. We have booked Beach Barn in Newquay for next year. Thank you Cornish Gems for another memorable stay in Cornwall

Oooohh we had a lovely week stay in Tyreen thank you 😊
It's a great sized stylish cottage over 3 floors (we had 5 people and a dog) and just a few steps from all St Ives has to offer. Comfy beds, rainfall showers and the separate basement lounge area was great for teenagers.
We parked in the Island car park and paid the £25 week fee to save using the included space which was further away. No car needed as you can walk everywhere.
Source Kitchen, One Fish Street, Porthminster Kitchen and St Eia cafe were our faves to eat.
Get up early before the crowds and you have the beaches to yourselves (even in summer hols). Less than 5 mins.walk from the cottage. Bamaluz - small and always dog 🐶 friendly, Porthgwidden - medium - best for morning swims, Porthmeor - large- best for body boarding and surf lessons.
Thanks again
Angela

Merry Mead St Mawes: not as pictured (no outside dining facilities), swimming pool that wouldn’t stay heated so we barely used it, dangerous overheating in bathroom (was told the owner is aware - fix it then!) cracked window panes, coffee machine not working, grubby kitchenware, internet doesn’t reach/work in end bedroom, pool generator/fan placed on that bedroom wall which buzzes audibly all night, no storage for garden cushions so had to pile them up in bedrooms if it rained, £8 kids activity pack pre-ordered didn’t materialise until we got back home. Had to phone in and chase up faults all week - was told they hadn’t checked the property against the website photos! Certainly NOT worth £8000 for one week. Have had no update/response from owner or Cornish Gems despite chasing. Will never book with them again - total rip-off and no responsibility taken for any of the problems we encountered.

We had a magical week in Rosilian Hall. The house is outstanding, inside and out, in a beautiful location. The facilities kept all our large mixed age group very happy. Our second property from Cornish Gems and we hope to use them again.

We recently used Cornish gems for our stay at merry mead in st mawes Cornwall. I cannot praise Cornish gens highly enough, from the booking process, to the arrival Information to the property itself which was the best rental we have ever stayed at in the U.K.
the quality of everything at merry mead was outstanding from the bedding to the towels, the kitchen equipment, the bathrobes etc it was like staying in a luxury hotel. The add on services they also free are fabulous including a food order via the good Cornish food company who delivered locally sourced high quality meat veg fruit fish etc on arrival day, we also received a gift voucher from Cornish gems for £70 to use against an order as a welcome gift. We also had the opportunity to have a guest chef which Cornish gems arrange arrive at the property and cook a gourmet dinner for the evening bringing ingredients creating an amazing meal on site for our guests before cleaning everything up and leaving. Such a fabulous and special evening.
In summary I would not hesitate to use Cornish gems again for my holiday in Cornwall, first rate in every detail thank you

We had a great week at no 9 salt in St Ives. The property was very well furnished and a pleasure to stay in. The information from Cornish Gems was very good and we would use them and the property again.

We had a great week at Ferry Cottage. Beautifully furnished and decorated, and with a sweet courtyard garden that we sat out in. All just as the website had described it.
The booking process was straightforward and helpful, with parking arrangements made for us at a local car park.
We ordered a Cornish food box which was a real success. Everything fresh as could be, and chilled things already stowed in the fridge when we arrived. The chicken and bacon were excellent. Nice to support local producers - I will order one again next time I stay at a ‘Gem’!
