Overall negative experience
We've been in business for over 20 years, and this is the worst experience we've ever had with another company. Here are just a few of the reasons why:
1) Despite explaining the specifications we needed for a printer on numerous occasions, we did not receive what we were promised.
2) The printer was not set up properly initially, and it took nearly 3 months for them to fix the issue.
3) We were told this was a production printer, and yet the quality of the print is inconsistent at best. We constantly struggle with small blue dots, faded lines, and white spots.
4) In under 4 months, nearly every major part of the printer has had to be replaced, including all the color drums (some twice), the transfer belt, and the fuser. Considering the printer's price, it isn't well-built in our opinion.
5) Sales personnel are unprofessional and couldn't answer even the simplest of questions. They would also consistently throw their technicians "under the bus." Not a good look for any company.
6) The Service Level Agreement is never met. We were initially told the SLA was 2 hours, but we have never had a technician arrive to fix a problem within that timeframe. It usually ends up being one to two days before they show up. On two separate occasions, no one showed up at all until we followed up.
The only positive interaction we've had with CPI is with their service technicians. They are knowledgeable, always professional, willing to explain what they are fixing, and will answer our questions.
