My old phone, I mean 6+ year old phone, was slowing and starting to act weird. I put off getting a new phone because I suffer from Purchase Telephone Stress Disorder. But Consumer Cellular made the process so easy. I chose the new phone, decided if i wanted to purchase or finance, and the phones arrived two days later with simple setup instructions.

I had my phone service transferred for COX because their service was so bad. I had to stand outside to get phone reception. Made many complaints to COX, not easy to reach, with no results. Now that I am with Consumer Cellular I can sit inside. I get great reception and their representatives that helped me make this transition were very patient and thoughtful. I am VERY happy with my service now

We had a very complicated transfer and it required multiple calls with Consumer Cellular and 3 in person visits to the physical store of the provider we left over 3 days. Every representative was polite, patient, and tried very hard to make it work. I'm sure that wasn't easy dealing with two very un-tech savvy seniors, so thank them!

Being new to the northwestern Indiana southwestern Michigan area, my old phone carrier didn't have service hardly at all for voice and Internet was basically non -exsistant. After struggling with our old service for 6 months I had finally had enough and called Consumer Cellular. They have great service in the area I'm in and the transition over was basically a no brainer. The staff at CC took great care of myself and my wife and both phone's were switched over rather effortlessly. Thank you Consumer Cellular

from the start it was a slow process it took them 3 days to get our numbers transferred because they claimed the numbers were locked. then every month by the fifth of the month they claimed we already used up all of our gb for the month. We run our business through our phone council people on our phones facetime our grandchildren and whatever else. so this company is not for us. upon cancelleing the service it was a disater. still charged even after the phones were changed over.. it did cut the bill in half but otherwise alot of hidden things.. ask questions

Most everything was smooth. The only issue is CS decided not to include a charging block. Tis led to my 82 y/o inlaws trying to use older ones that heated up an nearly melted or burned them.
Cost cutting should not include sending phone, cord, and no charging block that matches specifications. Legal nightmare avoided.

Customer service. Individual who waited on me spent a great deal of time with AT&T as I didn't have my pin number and he was able to complete the transaction.

Horrible customer service. I am so happy other people had good reviews it gives me hope, I live in GA. My mom lives in Ohio, I ordered a phone for her. She is 95 years old and very alert. We explained to customer service that my mom lives in an assisted living facility and we lived in different states. We gave CS all the mailing information for my mother, address, city, state zip and apartment # this was a expedited delivery. They mailed the phone to my mothers address without the apartment number IN MY NAME, there was no way during delivery they could reference it back to my mother, so the delivery was understandably refused. Consumer cellular, after several L O N G hold times and needing to speak with a supervisor I was told an exchange would take 10 business days. This was an expedited order for a reason. So after being on the phone for approx. 2 hours (L O N G) hold times and 10 days later I was actually able to order a replacement. They could not put my mothers name on the phone because the order was in my name. No problem, I contacted the receptionist and a note was placed at the front desk. This could have been done at first, and saved a lot of time. I hope the phone service is better than the customer service,

The CC phone rep was professional & helpful. Delivery was timely. My only small issue was with Samsung. During setup I understand Google wants your life story, but now Samsung wants to rule the world.
I think it's enough that I bought your phone.
Anyway, got a good deal on price thru AARP

Easy purchase and fairly easy setup with help on the new phones

The process of ordering and activating a brand-new cell phone (and keeping the same phone number) was made very comprehensive/intuitive by Consumer Cellular. After receiving the new phone, I was able to log into my account. Consumer Cellular had instructions readily visible on the webpage instructing me on the activation of the new cell phone. I was able to activate the brand-new SIMS card without any problem. (A few months back when my wife got her new cellphone, she had to call Consumer Cellular to set hers up. She was very satisfied with Customer Service and the Staff. She said that they were helpful and very cordial as well). My voicemail setup did not have to be reset and works just fine on my new cell phone. The only thing I may have forgotten was transferring the information from the old SIMS card to the new one. I tend to be technologically challenged, so I don't really know how to do that. My wife was not sure how to port the information onto the new SIMS card, so she manually put the information into my new phone. I am very happy with the new cell phone and the way in which the setup was handled. Thank you, Consumer Cellular!

I have been with Consumer Cellular for several years. I recently upgraded my iPhone to a new 16 and was able to follow the directions to handle the transfer myself until I hit a snag. The problems I had were resolved fairly quickly via chat session. The associate working with me was very patient and knowledgeable.
