While I enjoyed some of the content, this was a big red flag for me and I won't partake in any future trainings/materials. They have lost my trust. I wish I could give this company negative stars.

Had a fantastic experience and time with conscious life all round. Enjoyed the courses and found the interviews very insightful and with great interviewees and guests. I had to cancel subscription as I am doing further training but may well go back in the future. Collette handled my cancellation with speed, efficiency and great customer service. As it was a direct debit for the annual subscription she has offered me full refund. Highly recommend this platform to others, and a special thanks to Howard for his work in the psychotherapy area.

Scam

Scam.

I signed up for the trauma conference for free - and then upgraded to lifetime access. When I signed up, the checkout page displayed a price of $79, and that this was lifetime access, but it did not disclose that the payment would be processed in USD. Nowhere on the payment page was the billing currency stated, which is misleading for international customers.

As an Australian consumer, this resulted in:
being charged a higher amount than advertised
unexpected currency conversion
additional international transaction fees

In addition, I did not knowingly sign up for an automated subscription, nor did I receive any confirmation email or correspondence outlining that I had joined a recurring membership. I have been charged $44-46 per month without ever approving a subscription. Even when logging into my account it does not display any ongoing membership access or subscription - only the "$79" conference package I purchased without knowing I would in fact be charged $177. This lack of disclosure is particularly concerning given the recurring nature of the product.

I have already requested a refund, yet the customer service agent has responded with "I do apologise for any confusion caused. Our payments are always made in US Dollars. We are not an Australian company so our currency is in US Dollars, never Australian Dollars."

This situation appears to breach the UK Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations (2008)—specifically:

Regulation 5: misleading actions
Regulation 6: misleading omissions (failure to disclose material information such as currency and subscription terms)
Regulation 7: unclear pricing for consumers

Had a problem with my subscription and log in, the site isn’t the easiest to navigate and I’d gotten to the point where I was ready to quit but I couldn’t fault the service I received, you can really tell you’re talking to people who care. You put a certain amount of faith in companies, especially when it’s surrounding your wellness and mental health, so it makes a difference when the people you reach out to are kind, patient and most importantly make you feel heard. Great job and I look forward to my next year with you!

Conscious Life customer support so helpful

I've signed up for some conscious life courses and had a problem with access due to paying with my husband's PayPal and his email being access. After contacting customer service the issue was resolved quickly and now I have my own access. Each member I dealt with was polite and prompt.
I am in Australia and expected delays but within a day it was all sorted.

I paid accidentally twice, ups!…

I paid twice once via credit card the second time with PayPal.
Because I thought the payment failed with the credit card.
I was really upset with myself and later even confused!
I set all my hopes in an email for a quick refund.

Guess what!
To my surprise everything was fixed within an hour even on a Sunday!
My best 24/7 version on personal basis!

Unethical, unkind

I was issued an automatic renewal to the yearly subscription, which I have no recollection of ever having signed up for initially. I did not dispute the 1st year’s payment, despite not recalling signing up and never using it. On day 2 of the renewal, I requested a cancellation of the subscription and a refund for year two. I received nothing short of a scolding for requesting the refund. I explained that I’d never used the app and wasn’t aware of ever having made the purchase, so felt that a refund for year 2 was a fair request. Again, no empathy, just a scolding and a plan to fight me for the fee. I’m allowing my credit card company to settle the dispute, but I would not feel good about doing business with this entity.

I hope I had seen some of the reviews prior to buying the Trauma Super Conference. I was charged 28,7 euros per month until I realised. I wrote immediately and told me I had sign for a subscription which is absolutely false. They are denying me the refund. What a scam!

High Quality & Impactful Content + (obviously improved) Excellent Customer Support

Without hesitation - I can say that I've been exceedingly pleased with my experiences with Conscious Life / Alex Howard & team and truly believe that the work they are doing is worth investigating by *anyone* who has been told by too many medical specialists and mental health professionals "Sorry, I can see that there is something truly wrong here, but I just don't know how to help you".

Let me also say up front - I appreciate that there are a lot of negative ratings from folks (who's reviews well predate my review)... so I think it is critically important to call out the two key areas in which I am willing to take the time to write this review (overtly - Im not an influencer or anyone of the sort who might be compensated for this review) - and why I am comfortable in giving them such a high rating. Truth is, I rarely write reviews... IMO - I have better things to do with my time - but the work done by this team is one I am gaining great respect for, so I am willingly taking the time to be so overt and thorough to counter what I see as "single topic = skewed" & outdated reviews by other people.

Why I highly recommend Conscious Life / Alex Howard & Team:

1. The Content Itself: After decades of following the guidance of well intended (but sadly uninformed) medical and mental health professionals (who were considered "the best" in multiple capital cities) - Ive been so pleasantly stunned at the quality and positive impact of the materials (and most importantly - the *actionable guidance*) of the Reset Program!! Truly, after just a ~ 6 weeks of following the straightforward steps + insights (which, I've found are essentially the same info I've been reading/digesting for YEARS by highly respected research entities - but the difference is that FINALLY Alex and team are communicating this information in a manner (and - critically - the sequence) that is NOT about the academic who wrote the white paper/book - but about the patient (e.g. me/us!!!). My improvements haven't been about "new, revolutionary (odd? potentially dangerous?) information" but how the newest and most peer reviewed, and scientifically sound information is conveyed - which has made ALL THE DIFFERENCE. So much so that I have been asking on an almost daily basis "Is this really happening!?! Am I finally seeing a real improvement in my quality of life after all of my (50+?) failed trials from "top professionals" who essentially promised their approach would definately work - to then hear "Sorry it didn't work for you - here's my bill", and how demoralizing each one of those events were.

Openly, Im still "early days" of this specific healing work - in the sense that Im having to address decades of damage - but this is the first time I've truly felt like "This really seems to be working... like really working!?!"

I want others who have been in my shoes - especially if you measure your "somethings not right" in decades, as I have - to have the same hope and noticeable changes I've been experiencing!!

2. Customer Experience: In short - as I looked through why there are so many poor reviews by other individuals, it looks like its mainly around a single issue related to their subscription based pricing and how that was first communicated. As someone who does this sort of thing for a living, let me say that MOST companies screw this topic up in some way or another!!! And from what I can tell in reading the follow up to each of the previous negative reviews - the customer was "made whole" - which is all one can truly ask in these situation.

What is MORE important is that I have had the *complete opposite* experience with their overarching customer experience. It was made abundantly clear - multiple times - how their subscription pricing program works, and how easy it is to cancel / say "no thanks". What's more - ever other exchange I've had with the Conscious Life team has been exemplary!!! Prompt, detailed, thoughtful, and professional communications each and every time!! And what was even better (especially for an "old Customer Experience Management Professional" like myself) it is abundantly clear that Im not just a number to them!!! Its clear that when Im getting a response from someone on the team - they have checked previous communications from me so that I feel so seen and appreciated as an individual... something that one doesn't get very often in the world today.

So - sure, they might have earned the low ratings from previous mistakes in how they communicated / set up internal processes... but from my own, recent (early 2025) experience - reading these reviews make me think "this is not the same company I've been dealing with... No way! No how!" They have CLEARLY taken this feedback and made the improvements necessary - which, again, is all one can ask.

In short: Conscious Life is WELL WORTH TRYING!

Optimum Health Clinic: Deceptive Practices - Unauthorized Subscription and No Refund

I purchased access to Alex Howard's Super Trauma 2024 Conference from Optimum Health Clinic. A month later, I discovered a €29 monthly subscription charge on my account, completely unauthorized. They claimed I agreed to a '30-day free trial' never disclosed during my purchase, and that I was automatically enrolled. I never saw this offer, I never open it, I never use it, I never asked for it! Despite immediate cancellation, they refuse to refund the unauthorized charge. They shower me with meaningless apologies, created probably by Ai, as they will do here after this message. They say they're incapable (!) of giving me my money back. This is deceptive and fraudulent. I advise CAUTION when dealing with this company. Following my bank's advice, I've had to cancel
my credit card to avoid any more fraudulent activity with my banking information. I have documented the entire transaction.

I was charged an automatic renewal…

I was charged an automatic renewal subscription. As soon as my bank notified me the charge of the service I wrote to them asking to please cancel the subscription and do not charge for the next year. They told me they requiere to be notified in the next two days to the payment.

I told them that in my country the notification took four days and I had contacted them as soon as I knew aobut the chargement.

They did not take my request into consideration and made crystal clear that counscious life means financial abuse for them, taking advantage of a situation where my desires and explanations were of not avail.

It is particuarly painful that a website that is supposedly concerned with counscious, sensible and sensitive life manages thier clients as credit card hoders from whom to get profit regardless their desires.

When money means more than respect and honoring us as human beings this is the kind of business you may find.

I can not exppress to what degree I am disappointed with them. I asked them to change the procedure so that in the future there will be no more people who can suffer from this practice. I am afraid they are not intereseted in that. They only care about money, even when the client explicitly remarks that he is not interested in it. I feel like if I had been stolen and in a soul sense I had been.

This was my experience and I share with all of you.

Best wishes for all, even for them

Beware they are thieves. Credit card frauds

Beware. Beware. Beware. They are thieves.
Signed up for one class. Then a year later I receive a bill for twice the amount charged to my credit card. Conscious Life has no conscience. When I tried to solve the thievery, they blocked my email address.

Dissatisfied with the refund policy

Dissatisfied with the refund policy. Only two days to request refund with the auto renewal. No leniency from the company and I am currently in a dispute process for the charge with my credit card company. Would not recommend anyone to purchase Conscious Life conference access. Not worth the hassle with this profit hungry company.

$197 taken from my card without permission - disgusting behaviour

I made a one off purchase from Conscious Life in 2023 to access a series of online talks. There was no indication that this was a recurring payment. In February 2024, with no warning, $197 was taken from my card. This was double the amount of my payment in 2023. They only emailed me to say they had taken the payment after the fact. As per their own refund policy, I emailed them well within 48 hours to request an immediate refund and that they remove my card details from their system and take no further payments. They didn’t respond until March 6th and only then to email claiming I signed up for an annual subscription, which I didn’t, and trying to get me to purchase more “offers”. They said if I still wanted to cancel I had to email again. I did so. I did not hear from them again so made a complaint to my card issuer who ruled in my favour and refunded the charge. Yesterday 17th April they emailed me saying that as they can see my card issuer has given a refund they have had to cancel my “order” and if they can be of further “assistance” please contact them. Still no confirmation that they have removed my details from their system and that they will not attempt to take any further charges from me - I have requested they provide this within 2; hours.
7 weeks from the payment being taken, Conscious Life have failed to issue a refund in line with their own policies. Even if I had purchased a subscription, they should have given warning that this year’s payment would be double last year’s.
Thank goodness I had paid by credit card - if the payment had been taken from my bank I expect I would still be waiting for Conscious Life to refund me.
Given that Conscious Life target those with long term health conditions who are already vulnerable I think this is exceptionally poor behaviour.

Hidden agenda

I was not aware that this was a reoccurring charge. Plus, I've been charged $197 last month and also this month. Forget directions on their customer service page on how to cancel membership. If you send them an email like it reads, you get no response. I am disputing the charges with my credit card.

CONSCIOUS LIARS

This company and Alex Howard should be called Conscious Liars.

They sell access to video conferences and webinars about how to heal from trauma!

I emailed multiple times in the week leading up to my annual renewal yesterday, asking for my subscription to be cancelled, as there was no way to do it on their website. They have not replied (other than an automated Zen desk response that other reviewers here mention) and have taken US$197 dollars from my credit card. What do I do?
