Do not bank here

Do not bank here. Nothing but problems. Many, many times could not deposit because my deposit limit is supposedly $2,000. I would not recommend my worst enemy to bank here. BTW their customer service is crap.

I was transferred to them in 2021 with a loan and I was scared due to their reviews. I set the autopay and let it ride. I never had issues for the whole time of the loan. I pd off my auto early on 4.1.26 and getting the title was a nightmare. I got it in 2 weeks but it was the constant conflicting stories and answers received. Now I bout a new auto on 4.18.26 and wanted to refin with Connexus since I was just with them for 6 yrs....their "promo" is NOT a promo. score of 841 and they wanted to give me a 5.5 and a .25% discount to 5.39 for a return customer. The promo is 1% discount for autopay and 1% for ebilling. You would think that would put you at a 3%...NOPE! She stated that its INCLUDED, yet the national APR rate right now is 5%! She said I would be at a 7% if I didnt take the autopay and ebilling!!!!! 7% for a freaking 841 score?!?! It's a scam and there is NO promo. I thought Loyalty meant something, but NOT to connexus! AVOID and save your credit and sanity

Very easy of them to Disable your online access

1. 2 step verification, ALWAYS request a pin to be sent to one phone listed with them. NO OPTION to answer security questions OR have the pin emailed OR call a nr. to get the pin.
2. I have been locked out of my account because of that. I was and still am overseas, their chat function is worthless. I asked for a call back from a rep. and was advised to use an online secure form to change my nr. to another one.
3. I tried to use that form after answering all their security questions, but i was always stuck with errors (missing fields needed to be filled out, whereas i had filled out ALL FIELDS) without any input on how to resolve them.
4. Rep called. At this point i had incurred a lot of international calling charges both to make and receive calls. Her name was Clara B. She asked me security questions and she said i failed and said there is nothing she can do, not even send a security pin to my phone (which i wouldnt e able to receive anyways because i m overseas), the only thing is to wait till i have my application to change my contact into approved (an application that is stuck with errors and i cannot even submit it)
5. Even if i succesfully changed my nr. i still wouldnt be able to access my account as they have DISABLED IT. Needless to say i am contacting the BBB and request them to CLOSE ALL ACCOUNTS WITH THEM AND SEND ME MY MONEY ASAP to my regular bank. ENOUGH WITH THAT. I do banking in 4 countries and 10 different banks and i never seen such unprofessional behaviour and having my account blocked so many times.

Had an HSA with them for many years

Had an HSA with them for many years. Noticed my interest payments dropped significantly. Looked at past statements and a year ago they slashed the interest rates without notice or announcement. I couldn't even find the current interest rate on my statement or online and had to calculate it myself. Transferred account and now getting 4 times higher rate.

Declined our request for a home equity loan for reasons completely beyond our control -- There were some payments reported late by my mortgage company even though they never notified us we were behind payments (and my bank blocked the payments due to suspect fraud, from INTERNAL TRANSFERS (insane))... They should be more up front about their underwriting criteria. I have 2 missed payments in the last 5 years, hardly a payment risk, but that was their reason for denying me... both were due to reasons beyond my control.

Criminals

I have a car loan through them and I am used to paying extra money every month on every loan I've ever had to pay it down faster. They somehow get away with applying the extra money that you pay each month to the interest instead of the principal.

Also, they apparently use magic math to calculate the interest. Every month the amount of payment to principal should increase while the amount applied to interest should decrease since the interest is figured on a lesser principal balance. Nope, not with them. They somehow charge MORE interest on lesser amounts.

I have to assume they'll get caught and prosecuted for financial crimes.

Jason/ Joe Financial Preditors

So I financed a camper through this group. The plumbing water sewer black and gray tank fell to the ground 30 days after purchase. It was being “ fixed “ for almost 5 months the dealer assured me I would be provided an extension for this time. Joe in collections would not budge he sent me info for Jason. I called Jason over a hundred times over the year of 2022 he never responded or answered my calls. Then 13 months later he sends me a real smart but message saying you got repossessed today and I want to be perfectly clear with you. We will not remove one penny from what you owe or make one adjustment! This guy went out of his way to contact me today with joe laughing to tell me that I had been repoed and to not expect them to come off a single penny and that i was actually still going to be charged 150$/ day per diem

Like I said the unprofessional Jason I would like to provide full name but I don’t want this to get removed I called over 100 times left probably 50 voicemails and emails for him to call me so we could get it taking care of I was told he is the decision maker

It took 13 months for Jason to contact me and when he did he was trying to rub in my face that my camper had been repossessed with Joe snickering in the back ground
He said Joe Joe much are we still charging him per day close to $150 a day with per deim I’ve got the call recorded and will be taking it to my attorney

Stay away from Connexus a bunch of crooks

Joe was not anymore helpful he replied 2-3 times over the year but he was not willing to offer any deferment or anything at all he just said bank policy is 1 month only over the entire loan what a joke of a bank and this took place during Covid

Higher Savings Interest Rates and Friendly Service

I chose Connexus because of it offers higher interest rates on savings accounts compared with others. Connexus has also given me friendly and helpful service. It took me a while to make a connection with someone in the IRA section, but once I contacted Cathy, she was friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure working with her. I'm happy that I found Connexus.

Worst bank I've ever been with

Worst bank I've ever been with. This bank will take all your money and not tell you why they put a hold on your account. I dealt with them for 10 years they treated me like I was just some number to them no matter what I tried to get from them they would never even put in any effort to try to help me or keep me as a member. I would suggest going to any other bank besides connexus credit Union or affinity. Nothing you get through them will show up on your credit history. they put a hold on my account and it was like pulling teeth to try to get them to deal with it. They wouldn't give me answers on why my account was put on hold they also wouldn't do anything to get it off of a hold. I was not overdrawn my that was dealt with all credit cards and credit before all this. worst bank I've ever dealt with and I'm happy to be with a new bank and do a cut up my card and never have to deal with you stupid f****** again. Rot in hell I hope your bank falls apart at the seams.

THE WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE

I am completely shocked at the level of INCOMPETENCE from Jennifer Drabek - "senior rep" for IRA at Connexus Credit Union. She has to be one of the MOST, the MOST INCOMPETENT employee I've ever had to deal with & after over 40 days of working on solving this problem with a supervisor CCed, it is still in LIMBO due to PURE NEGLIGENCE. As a result I've lost out on SO MUCH, the IRA which is a SIGNIFICANT amount of money got ZERO INTEREST (think SIX FIGURES) for AN ENTIRE MONTH, the ENTIRE savings rate BRACKET went down significantly, I may be looking at penalty from the US govt, and even my accountant for next year is going to be SHOCKED at the MESS Connexus has put my account in.

Jennifer Drabek does nothing but LIE, LIE, LIE, when in fact there are email proof over & over again. SHOCKING!! I cannot believe she calls herself "experienced".... If I can go back in time, I would say, set up an IRA rollover or transfer or account with ANY other institution you can actually get on the PHONE to speak with you, instead of douging your calls for days going into months, and LIE about email proof, stating she "didn't" know this or that EVERY STEP of the way, after being TOLD TEN TIMES! Despicable EXPERIENCE, RUNNN!!!

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever! I've been asking for a replacement card since December 2019, been told 3 times it was on the way and will be with me in max two business days and to that date I am still waiting to receive my new card (we are January 26). You can try contacting them online via there message center, they clearly can't be bothered to reply to you, and on the phone they are unaware of your requests. I'm just wondering what are those people paid for. I'm taking my business elsewhere and will close all my accounts with them this Monday.
