Same story as another review here. We ordered and paid for a full outfit with kilt, jacket, shirt and shoes in early July. We paid in full, and were promised a delivery one month later. It’s now December, we received promises in a string of emails, saying they had supply issues, but nothing was ever delivered. Once I started getting angry and putting in doubt their promises, the emails stopped. This is nothing but a scam from a would-be tailor who has used the same tricks under a different name in Glasgow. We live in Belgium, and find it outrageous that tourists should be taken advantage of in that way. Not a great way to attract people in Oban for sure, or in Scotland. Mr Alan Moore should be ashamed of himself. We will take this to court. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AT ANY COSTS!!

Avoid at all costs!!!
We went to Alan Moore(formerly Kingsley Hunter of Glasgow)in February for a suit for my husband. Our daughter was getting married in September. Plenty of time we would have thought to organise a suit. We paid more than 50% deposit. A bit steep but it looked like we would get what we were paying for! How wrong could we be. We heard nothing for months until in May we decided to contact Alan. We received no response for over a week. When he did finally respond it was only to reassure us that everything was in hand and he would contact us a week later for a first fitting. We heard nothing and tried to contact him again. July came and went, still nothing. In speaking to another tailor in Glasgow by chance, we established that Alan had set up another business in Oban by the name of Connel Bay Scottish Highlandwear. On searching Hunter Kingsley we found the business to be permanently closed! Panic set in! We managed to make contact with Alan at his new business, much to his surprise we thought! Early August we requested a refund which of course he refused and suggested we apply for charge back via our credit card company. Thankfully that worked. Please avoid this businessman at all costs. He managed to turn what should have been an exciting run up to our daughters wedding into a nightmare!
