Brilliant work!

CompuoDOS has fixed two machines for me now, and both have been done really quickly, with a good explanation of the fault, excellent customer service and decent price,. Highly recommended.

Reliable and trusted.

I visited mr Hadi a few years ago, with a cracked screen on my Mac (the old, thick, heavy kind). He assured me it would keep working, as long as I was careful. Another guy on the same street was very happy to quote for a replacement. Well, It's still working. I keep it for heritage software that won't work on newer instruments. Recently, I noticed keys getting sluggish and a cursor hitch. As I'm moving soon, I wanted an overhaul and a clean-up sort of a thing.
It also had a habit of showing I was on 4% battery life, and wouldn't open, when it was unplugged, when, actually, it was at 86% when you plugged it back in.

Mr Hadi said I needed a new battery. While he was cleaning out things, he checked, and realised the trackpad needed replacing. It would've been more expensive to replace it at a different time, as it sits behind the battery, that would've had to be taken out, at that point, as well, to gain access.
It took just over 24 hours and I am so grateful it's all sorted.

Untrustworthy and an expensive non-repair

I took my MacBook to Compudos for water repair. I was charged £715 for diagnostics, water repair and a new screen. When I got it home the screen had lines across it and shadows at the top and flickered the back of the base also hand't been securely closed meaning that dust and dirt particles could get in. I took it back the shop. The guy said various contradictory things including "you can only see the lines on a white background" "it's usable" and reluctantly said he would replace the screen again. I had made him a guest account on my laptop as I handle confidential client information and need to be GDP compliant. I asked if it wasn't a problem with the screen, could it be the connection or the logic board. He said if it was the logic board then there's nothing you can do. Having had logic boards repaired in the past, I know that not to be the case.
Today on picking up the Macbook after another new screen has been fitted, it's exactly the same. The owner insists it's fine and says it was fine yesterday too (if that were true, why would he fit another new screen?). He's big on gaslighting. There are still white lines and shadows on my screen and having used it a bit, it's flickering again. The screen isn't attached squarely to the base (overlaps slightly on one side when closed).

Oh and the guy was angry that I hadn't given him the password for my main account saying that "the Ministry of Defense trust me"... which makes no difference to my GDPR compliance at all. I don't know if he's like this with men or if it was having a woman say no to him that he didn't like.

Anyway, I'm now £715 worse off with a laptop with an unreliable display (I'm not even sure the screen was ever the issue) and have zero trust in Compudos to operate honestly so I'll have to get it fixed elsewhere and write off the money I've already spent.

AVOID THIS SERVICE CENTER AT ALL COSTS!

FRAUD ALERT: AVOID THIS SERVICE CENTER AT ALL COSTS!

Disclaimer: I am writing this review after consulting with the official Lenovo service team, who confirmed that I was scammed.

I took my Lenovo laptop to CompuDOS Ltd after it stopped charging, hoping to have it repaired by professionals. However, my experience was nothing short of a fraudulent scam. This review aims to expose the deceitful practices of the owner, Mr. Hadi.

My laptop had a battery issue, and Mr. Hadi promised to diagnose it and inform me of the exact problem. After a week of silence, I called him, and he said he was still "assessing the situation." He quoted me £70-75 for a part replacement or £150 for a motherboard replacement, which he discouraged, claiming it was as expensive as buying a new laptop.

I was patient, but another week passed with no updates. I had to chase him again, and he finally told me that the part had been ordered and that it would take a few more days. On December 2nd, I received a text stating that my laptop was "fixed."

When I went to collect it on December 4th, Mr. Hadi tried to turn the laptop on, but it was still dead. He plugged it in and, without hesitation, quoted me £145 for the "repair." I was stunned but paid, trusting that the issue had been addressed. I asked him what had been repaired, and he vaguely said, “chips.” He provided no invoice, no warranty, and no details about the parts he allegedly replaced. This should have been my first red flag.

Once I got home, I plugged the laptop in, only to find that the battery still wouldn’t charge beyond 0%. Furious, I returned to CompuDOS the next day, December 5th, to confront Mr. Hadi. At this point, it became painfully obvious that Mr. Hadi had not even bothered to diagnose the problem properly. Instead of offering a solution, he plugged in his own charger and claimed it was simply a "battery issue." This was a blatant attempt to deceive me further, as the issue was never diagnosed correctly in the first place.

Mr. Hadi then had the audacity to offer me a "50-50" deal for a new battery, costing £59, which he claimed was my responsibility to pay half of. This was pure scamming—no apology, no refund, just more excuses and lies. To make matters worse, the part he claimed to have replaced is worth no more than £20, according to Lenovo technicians. Yet, I was charged £145 for what appears to be nothing more than a scam to extract money from unsuspecting customers.

Warning Signs of a Scam:
No fixed pricing for services or parts – expect to be kept in the dark until the final bill.
No upfront quotes – Mr. Hadi will string you along with vague estimates until you’re trapped with the final, exorbitant bill.
No service invoice or warranty for parts – a classic scam tactic to avoid accountability.
Mr. Hadi’s behavior is unprofessional, deceitful, and fraudulent. Instead of owning up to his mistakes, he tried to gaslight me and shift the blame onto a new battery. This is a clear scam operation designed to take your money without providing any legitimate service.

I am actively reporting this fraudulent business to Citizen Advice, Google Reviews, Trustpilot, and social media platforms. If you value your money and your time, DO NOT trust this service center.

If you still choose to visit, be extra cautious. Demand a detailed service rate card and invoice before proceeding with any repairs. Do not let Mr. Hadi take advantage of you!
