Poor Products / Impossible Customer Service

What can I say?. If there was a minus star rating, this would be utilised.
You get drawn in by this companies instagram adverts, of couples having detailed and intricate 3d sculptures of themselves, and being overwhelmed with happiness on receipt of the item.
I was not. I provided a decent photo of myself and my wife, after nearly two months, received what can only be described as wholly inaccurate and poorly sculptured products that made me feel all was not it seems with this company.
After expressing my concerns and raising a dispute on PayPal, the company only offered 20% refund, as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ as they stated their policy was not to allow returns personalised products?!. An issue in itself as that’s all the promote and produce. I was then offered 30% refund, again stating their policy of be unable to refund fully, due to the personalised nature of the product. I wholly refused these ‘gestures of goodwill’ on the grounds of false advertising and poor quality workmanship, under my Consumer Rights.
I’ve just received an email saying they now want me to return the item for a full refund, at my expense, and ship the item to China(from the UK), they stated they weren’t going to pay for this, as the cost of shipping to them, from the UK would be’too expensive’ for them. So I don’t get my monies back, in any of this and they might ‘lose’ the item and then I’d have zero proof, and I’ll be doubly out of pocket, for the initial purchase AND the expensive shipping costs, back to China, which they stated in earlier communications, was against their policy, to accept. I’ve escalated this issue to PayPal and they can make the final decision on this issue, under their Buyer Protection Plan. I can provide pictures of the photo I sent, and the product received, if you compare the detail from their website to my product, you’ll see why I’m raising such an issue.
