Waste of time
This is the most ridiculous app ever. Any donations get taxed and to withdraw even a small amount of the pot you have to go through a layer of verifications including bills and passport! I don't have time for that. Terrible app and time wasting!

Just to reassure you, Collection Pot doesn’t tax donations. There is a payment processing fee from card providers, but we always try to be as transparent as possible about it.

We completely understand that providing documents like ID or proof of address can feel like an extra hurdle, especially when you just want to access the funds quickly. Unfortunately, these checks are mandatory when money is being paid out.

I love most things about this site but…
I love most things about this site but it would be great for people to be able to send gift vouchers directly to the recipients, instead of sending it to yourself and then forwarding voucher to the person you would like it for.

Clear and easy, but extortionate
The platform is clear and easy to use, but the costs charged to ensure the recipient receives 100% of the contribution seem unjustifiably high. As easy as this makes things, I will stick with bank transfers in the future.

We understand that fees are an important consideration. We always aim to be transparent about these costs so organisers and contributors can make an informed choice.
If they tip when contributing, it covers the 1.9% + 20p card processing fee, and anything extra helps keep the platform running. If they don’t, that small fee just comes out of their contribution.
Tipping is completely optional, no forced charges, just a simple way to support a tool that saves hours of chasing, reminding and spreadsheet juggling.
We appreciate you giving us a try, and we hope we might be able to support one of your collections again in the future.

Great for work pools!
Collection Pot is great for pooling work contributions across the team for special occasions etc. The message wall gives it an extra touch and easy to withdraw collections, flexible to reopen pot to let final contributions to be made too!

The collection pot worked well
The collection pot worked well. When you go to pay the suggested additional amount is far higher than what the cost is. Unable to see what was paid in total and what was donated. One person was unable to pay, tried several times and it didn't work.

The site is relatively easy to use and…
The site is relatively easy to use and money was transferred very quickly to my account once the pot was closed. Bit of trouble getting the verification to recognise my name from my driving licence. The site makes it easy to collect money from a lot of people. Like most sites, it needs you to contribute towards the collection so they can make some money but you get to choose how much and it was fair. They let you set up a card which people can make comments in but you can't print the card off or send it by email. You would have to share the collection pot site with the intended receiptient. Not ideal.

Almost lost the will to live
The registration process was time consuming and the interface was EXTREMELY "clunky" when trying to redeem the pot. the latter process took 3 people the best part of 2 hours to achieve.

Lovely to have such great memories. Print options could be improved though - so many options there to get into something like a scrapbook format rather than using the standard print page and getting only a couple of messages per page.
