After waiting exactly one month for 2/3 of my order to be shipped, I finally cancelled. The company kept moving the goalposts--what was supposed to ship immediately was delayed week after week after week. Two calls to the company on the same day at the one-month mark gave me two different ship dates--and a backorder--and that's when I cancelled. Fortunately, I was able to do that. I should add that my credit card had been charged for the unshipped items but luckily that was resolved. I would not shop there again.

Can it get any worse? Years ago this company had decent interesting clothes with petite sizing. About three years ago, after moving to a rural area and not finding anything in person, I decided to give them a try. Yikes! Plastic is their middle name! Lots of poly and no pants without poly. Styles are grandma on a bad day.

I've unsubscribed from their catalog a total of four times! - catalogs just keep coming. If you dig around, you'll see that they have a reputation for not honoring unsubscribe requests. You'll be hounded until you move.

Terrible company

I dint know there is a restocking fee if you return something. My order took forever to get and I tried tracking it but their tracking system is the worst. clothing not like it used to be. Very cheap and high prices. Don’t buy from this company. Not the same as cold water creek of the past, beware of fees for returning items

After waiting for about a week to hear from customer service, they could give me no description of the back view of an item. Also stating no pictures are available for this, at this time. How can one buy a piece of clothing without looking at the back ?

I'm glad this happened; it's a sign to not shop there.

Coldwater Creek has changed its return policy, and is now charging a $10 processing fee along with a fee for taxes!

The result --- I received a $19 credit on my $37 top.

I will not be ordering from Coldwater again. Go to Macy's online, they offer free returns.

I fell for their horrible business rip off tactics again. They bombard you with ads and catalogs. They used to be a great company. They sold out to China and have ripped me off of a lot of money. They send something you ordered once in a while, then keep telling you it's on backorder. Why did you advertise it? They tell you that the payment is on hold until shipped, it's a lie. They owe me a lot of money. Is there any way to get reimbursed?

Like all others here, when trying to effect a return:
I have just been robbed of a grotesque amount of "tax & fees", double "shipping & processing fees" for a pair of shoes whose purported nominal size turned out to be a full size smaller than the physical norms across the industry, both in EU and USA (I shop in both). Customer service was a person oversees who is paid - probably very little - to stonewall people with a "I am sorry, we do not, policy is bla bla".
I remembered Coldwater Street from times back when it was an honorable business, with some brick and mortar stores. I have learned my lesson and will NEVER again shop there. Don't go there EVER. You will be swindled.

I ordered the new bunny sweater and shirt they advertised. It took them over a month to get the sweater to Colorado and when I checked on the shirt it was places on backorder until July 16 2026 I was told o er the phone by a supervisor that it was guaranteed to ship March 21 2026.

The only thing the supervisor would offer for my trouble was a free shipping coupon.

Placed an order online on March 1. None of the items said they were on back order. Now it is March 25th and my items still haven't shipped and said they are on back order. The expected ship date was March 6. I called customer service and was not allowed to cancel my order.

Ordered an item months ago and still has not shipped. Additionally, ZERO correspondence from the company regarding the delay and ZERO response when I have emailed their listed contact or used the help box. This is not the first time I have encountered this exact same scenario. I would never order from Cold Water Creek!

Ordered multiple items on 2/15/26. Indication was they would be shipped in 3-5 business days. After multiple contacts, I was told they were on back order and would be shipped 3/20/26. It's currently 3/23/26, one item has shipped, the other is "processing." To top it off, they have placed multiple authorization holds on my credit card for amounts well over the purchase price. Quality might be good, but customer service/payment processing means I won't be shopping there again.

On Feb 25 I placed an order. At the time the items showed as in stock with a March 6 delivery. On March 6 I chatted online with someone who said my order would be shipped March 20. On March 20 I complained via an online form, asking where my order was. I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. On March 23 I called and my order was still not ready to be shipped. I CANCELLED MY ORDER.

I found the shipping process, ongoing communication about the order, and general communication utterly abysmal. I will NEVER shop at Coldwater Creek again.

I ordered three pieces from Coldwater to wear to a wedding. It took over a month to get two of the three-piece order and I'm told the third piece will take another month. I was told today that it's on back order -- which was not mentioned on the day I placed the order. Waiting that long to have clothes (not some rare item) delivered is ridiculous. I won't order from them again.

Folks, this is a scam. Coldwater Creek has been closed for 5 years. They don't have any stores. Don't buy from any site that says it's going out of business or offering 90% off all inventory. You won't get your stuff, and you won't get your money back. Only buy from coldwatercreek.com. That is the only legit site for this product.

I ordered a dress on February 1, 2026, and paid $35 for overnight shipping, since I wanted to take it on vacation four days later. When it hadn't arrived after three days, I called Coldwater Creek's customer service line. The call center person told me the dress was backordered, and it could take weeks. I asked them to reverse the $35 overnight shipping charge, but they said no, because quote: "It will be shipped overnight from the factory as soon as it's no longer backordered." I finally received the dress on March 17, 45 days after ordering it. The quality was just so-so; the listing called it Tencel, which is a high-end trademarked fabric, but the tag merely said "lyocell," which is no guarantee of quality. It came badly wrinkled and was even more wrinkled after washing and line drying it, as the tag recommended. I actually wouldn't have taken it on vacation, as it's just not very attractive.

I would give this company a zero, if I could. I agree with the many reviewers that have noted poor quality, high priced, difficult return policy, no way to know what was returned because the item amount returned does not always match the price of the item charged.
I'm now being challenged by the supervisor that I can't understand I'm being credited all I'm supposed to be getting, but he can't understand that numbers do not lie+, only people that don't understand numbers get confused.....

I've ordered several things from Coldwater Creek and despite the longer waits for delivery, its usually pretty decent. My most recent order of a short sleeved sweater needed to be returned because the material was extremely hard and uncomfortable and the sweater was too heavy. They charged a $9.95 return processing fee and didn't return my tax (plus adjustments...whatever that is) for $10.27. That's crap! That's not an "easy" return. Now I'm understanding why they had so many issues and have such a bad rating.

I have been waiting one month for merchandise order. Every time I call customer service I get a song and dance about very high backorder or a warehouse being relocated...sounds very fishy. Used to do business with them years ago, they were fine. WHAT HAPPENED

Ordered 3 items on Feb 12, no indications there would be significant delays. As of March 20, nothing has shipped. 2 items are supposedly going to ship soon, but the 3rd item is back ordered and won't ship until August 20. I asked to cancel the 3rd item and was told they could not cancel it because of the warehouse, which makes no sense. If you can't ship it until August, you don't have it, if you don't have it then just cancel the item!!! Never buying from Coldwater Creek again.

I ordered the silver shell flower necklace and a) it is not silver, it is brown b) it is defective and will not lay flat c) I have to pay tax and shipping-about $15 to return it. This is not right. I sent a message to Coldwater Creek regarding this order and after a week have no response. Very disappointing customer service. Actually, zero customer service.
