Great experience

We had such a fantastic experience with this law firm, specifically Peter Wilson and Diana Norton.

While trying to sell my grandads house we discovered there was an issue with the land registry. I reached out to Peter for guidance on what was a very messy time consuming and expensive error to fix, and right from the start he was so helpful and knowledgeable! I had several other firms decline to help, but Peter and Dianna helped us resolve the land registration Issue and then facilitated the sale.
More than reasonable prices, great and genuinely caring people and very professional. Thank you again for all of your help, couldn't recommend enough.

House purchase

We recently used Clarkes Solicitors in Shrewsbury for a house purchase. They were quick to respond, had clear instructions and estimates, and throughout the process kept us updated, and answered any queries we had in a timely manner, no matter how trivial they might have been.
This is the 2nd time using their services (my husband needed a document notarised) and we would recommend them if you are looking to buy or sell a property.
We have no hesitation giving 5 stars.

Do not deal with this company

Do not deal with this company! They promise information you request and when they know they've messed up try & withhold it. They takes ages to respond and when they actually do half the requested information is missing.

So should there be a no blame divorce…! Or, any rate, find out who is the real perpetrator!

So should there be a no blame divorce or, at least, the correct facts be established! Richard Gabb of Clarkes failed me completely - he is incompetent! I was involved with a controlling bully for 17 years, married for 9. I lost all confidence and my ex-husband was verbally and physically abusive over many years.
Richard Gabb had said I would have a chance to refute all lies (character defamation) and suppositions that my ex-husband had documented in the divorce papers – this never happened!!! My ex-husband ‘manipulated’ financially and lied throughout the divorce. For the financial settlement, I received less than 30% of our joint assets. Since 2010 and to this day, my ex-husband has the family home. He was the main bread-winner but was also called the main carer (this was because he was controlling the care timetable even against the children's wishes; I had done ‘everything’ to run the home and was and am absolutely devoted to my children). Despite his very fat salary, my ex-husband received the child benefit for our son and for quite some time, the child tax credit as ruled by a child tax tribunal judge (until his salary got too high). The injustices that occurred are too many to mention and the judge and all the legal people were ineffectual. The legal 'profession' – a self-perpetuating sector of incompetents with no real people with any humanity!!!! Ever heard of “paying attention to detail??”
I finally received my little token divorce payment (13.5% of home value) in 2023 after going back to Court to enforce – this was 12 years after the initial Court sessions! I am sure that the judge at this latter hearing could not believe what a pathetic settlement Richard Gabb had got for me; and that I had had to wait 11 years before I could, in some way, move on!
