AWFUL! Run From this anti-customer-service business. Regardless of making and delivering a defective sofa, once you purchase anything, you're trapped. There is Zero incentive for City Furniture to have and enforce quality control and customer-focused service. None!
Here's what happened to me:
1) *The salesman pulled an unauthorized and unwanted soft credit check approving me for 8,000.00 with Synchrony Bank to purchase furniture. Feels Violating.
2). I purchased a sectional on a different credit card- that was delivered DEFECTIVE and confirmed by their technician as unrepairable and defective. I put in my complaint during the delivery and each day since. City Furniture refuses to credit back to my credit card, and offers only store credit, forcing me to continue to do unwanted business and spend money at a shady business with poor quality products and ZERO QUALITY CONTROL. The consumer has ZERO recourse. City Furniture has more complaints than any other furniture business when googled. BBB has many hundreds of similar complaints. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, HORRIBLE SOFAS, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Greedy, cheap, and shady. I received a sectional sofa with the sections made at different heights and gaps, and unable to align. RUN! *Don't be another City Furniture Victim Statistic Nightmare. This fiasco started the day of purchase on 4/7/24, the day of delivery 4/11/24, and continues.

I purchased two Identical recliners from city furniture in Ocoee about two years. I also purchased the extended warranty. The cost was $660 per Recliner. Well, about a year ago the back with the head lies on each recliner started tearing. At this point, I called city furniture customer service to report the defect on the recliners. They refused to fix the recliners or replace them even though I had an extended warranty . They did absolutely nothing but laugh at me. I am stuck with two piece of garbage recliners where the leather is tearing. What a waste of money do not do business with this company. Their furniture is garbage.

Overall horrible experience with City Furniture. They delivered an obviously used bed which was supposed to go to their clearance center. Somehow the incompetent delivery drivers brought it to my house. Upon arrival it was apparent that they were a disaster, one was on the phone with his wife the whole time and the other made an huge mess in my living room which they didn’t even pick up. Although they did not have the correct equipment and my husband had to provide them with the tools, they rushed and assembled the bed, further damaging it even more and left without notice or even giving us time to inspect it. We immediately contacted customer service which useless! Never again will I purchase something from here.
follow up 4/29/24:
The fact that THEIR error has caused me and my husband to be sleeping on the floor, is completely unacceptable. Management should be embarrassed of how they have handled this situation because a "we will refund you your money in 7-10 business days" simply doesn't cut it. i've gone as far as emailing your "Customer Care Specialist" Kate, and even she, who is supposed to "Care" for customers has provided me with ZERO response. Genuinely, this has been a beyond disappointing and distroughting experience.

I ordered 4 chairs and 1 bed frame, they arrived to my unit and delivered only the chairs. They rescheduled for next week because they forgot to bring the bed.
I even paid for white glove delivery.
Really disappointed.
I will never order again from this store

After furnishing an entire apartment at City Furniture, and being "sold" a warranty on the products I purchased, I filed a claim on a damaged table.
The technician came out to the house to inspect and left. I get an email that my claim is denied. When I asked why it was denied, I was told because there damage was not minor. I asked where the contract says what the damage should or shouldn't be.
There is no language, the service is a fraud, they do not honor the warranty contracts they sell and I suggest you do not do business with this company. They are thieves, and I will NEVER do business with them again.
The dining room table top was discolored and the finish was damaged by tomato sauce; in case you are interested, this is the language in the service contract I purchased:
WHAT IS NOT COVERED: We will not cover loss or damage caused by the following: (1) Abuse; (2) Any damage caused by pets; (3) Damage or odor as a result of moving or improper storage conditions; (4) Damage caused by fire, smoke, flood or other natural disaster, theft or vandalism; (5) Furniture that is used for commercial purposes; (6) Damage not reported within thirty (30) days of occurrence; (7) Products with removed or altered construction; (8) Clearance, floor model or “as is”; (9) Natural characteristics or markings on fabric, leather, wood and marble; (10) Normal wear; (11) Electronics are not covered; (12) This Agreement covers items on the original purchase only.

I was literally harassed by an employee at the Plant City location on I-4. It was so bad that his manager witnessed the incident and called me later that evening. I spoke with the manager and told him it was fine. He asked if I wanted my order put thru and surprise when it showed up on my City Furniture credit card the next day. I told the employee and the manager not to put the order through and they did. It then took 9 days and a phone call for Synchrony to refund the charges which I missed out on 2 sales from. Then on top of it all, still trying to order the same furniture but online so I didn’t need to deal with these nasty people during Florida’s tax-free sale I tried to order again. This time the credit card wouldn’t go thru because they believed there was fraud on the account because of the charges that were all reversed. I called customer service today to inquire about a discount and was told they don’t deal with that and I need to go back to the store that harassed me. When given the option to go to the competitor I should have taken it….

Stay away from City Furniture and there preditory policies and empty sales promises. We purchased a home in Ft Lauderdale Fl in 202o and needed to furnish it so unfortunatly we ended up dealing with City Furniture. We were talked in to purchasing the extended buyer protection plan for about $750.00 and were told that if we did not use the entire plan within three years we would get a store credit for for the balance of the residual amount. After three years we expected our refund but were told that since we phoned in one time to have a white chair cusion stain corrected that we forfitted the entire amount of our $750.00

Horrible customer service! Will not allow for a return on a bed that my 83 yo mother can’t get in and out of safely. Fell 2 days after getting in bed. I was willing to pay a fee, but NOPE, you’re stuck with it. Now I need to try to sell a brand new bed and buy a new one.

We purchased 2 twin beds with mattresses and box springs and 1 nightstand on 2/20/2024. When the delivery came on 3/9/2024 they brought only the mattresses and box springs. When we asked where the beds were the driver called the store and told us that the beds we ordered were discontinued. We asked that he take back the delivery and he told us he had no authorization to do that but someone would be back within 24 hrs. This was of course a lie. Zero customer service! They do not return phone calls and I finally made an in person visit. More lies! I finally reached out to the corporate office. Not much help there either. I finally made a report to the Better Business Bureau and informed my bank. This is being handled by my bank.. they have multiple enormous hidden fees they never tell you about. I’m not sure how they have stayed in business but I would recommend staying as far away as possible! We ended up at Baer Furniture and had a great experience.

My recliner back came away from the back of the furniture. I called for a replacement as it was clear it was STAPLED together. The repair folks arrived and proceeded to just 'shove' it back in. SO UNACCEPTABLE. First, they didn't tell me what the issue was. Then started in WITHOUT my permission. This company is just all bad.... STAY away. Of my 3 orders 2 were DAMAGED.

I have a scenario I would like your comments on, please.
I entered a City Furniture store with researched info on 75” Televisions you carry and I was interested in purchasing right away.
The store did not have any stock of the TV’s I wanted and had no idea if or when they might have them. They showed me a different 75”, same brand, a bit of an up grade and of course a higher price.
Salesman said he would see what he could do for a better price and came back with a $100.00 reduction in price – this was the best price he cold give me. I purchased the TV and he delivered it to me later in the day (cost of $50.00). Salesman was nice and appeared to be knowledgeable.
Later I looked online (City Furniture) for some info about the TV and found the list price online (City Furniture here and surrounding places) was $100.00 less than what was posted on the TV in the store. I guess I should have returned home and researched this other TV, before driving back to the store.
Nice guy, he made it sound like he was giving me a deal, when in fact it was the price, the TV should have been. The reduced price wasn’t even a price match.
I find this to be sneaky, underhanded and dishonest! To jack up the posted price and then make it feel like they are giving you a deal when they take the extra cost off.
Shop locally they say – I say why when you can’t trust them and are overcharged.
Is this regular practice for City Furniture stores?
Do you feel this is right?

Bought over $2000 dollars worth of furniture for myself and then bought a piece of furniture for my daughter's kitchen the same week. When you are in the store the customer service is fantastic. They give you personal attention. Once you give them your money the service is horrible. They dont care about you. NEVER SHOT THERE. If you have any problems they will do very little to solve your problem. I had furniture delivered and one chair was broken. I had to go through a process texting with a bot and after significant investment of time got to talk to someone who did nothing for me. They finally said we can backorder and I have been waiting almost two months, I have heard nothing. Not one contact from City Furniture. They have not given me fair alternatives. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a furniture company.

Poor quality furniture, many imperfections. You buy and pay for new furniture and they will send someone out and do repairs ha! Delivery guy rude!

We bought a leather sectional. It has some issues. City Furniture had zero interest in helping us.
Would never buy from them again.

I have NEVER had such POOR customer service in all of my 63 years! When the (2) delivery men came with my sectional couch, they were missing a piece (of course) and after they had brought in everything, I went outside to have a conversation with them regarding some questions I had. I thought that they would have had the professionalism to at least come in and make sure I was satisfied? But NO! They literly dropped it off, and drove off!!
They have LOST a CUSTOMER FOR LIFE !!!

SCAM...I wish I had checked reviews before purchasing in this store. Don't let the big store and free cookies deceive you. Managers don't have any power to make any decisions and if you buy something here, there is not returns. Mattresses are used and they will try to give you a big discount for you to buy them and no money back or returns accepted.

I shouldv'e read the reviews before spending $1200 on an electric recliner - within 5 months the armrest was indented. A technician came out and said it was how we "sat" in the chair! There is no "sit here" sign and I thought chairs were supposed to be sat in! The "repair" on the cardboard lasted 2 weeks and again the technician replied that it was the way we were sitting in the chair. Numerous phone calls and a visit to the store in Plant City was useless! We were offered a 30% discount on a "New" purchase - like I would purchase anything from them after this! Obviously they do NOT stand by their warranty or believe in providing even barely adequate customer service! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT purchase from City Furniture!

I entered the Stuart, Florida store and was pleasantly welcomed by Julian. He was extremely professional and offered his assistance when I was ready. I was free to walk around the store, uninterrupted.
I purchased two large items and he completed the process in minutes, and set up delivery.
It was an absolute pleasure entering that store. Julian was very knowledgeable about each piece I asked about until I made my final decision.
If I need to purchase additional furniture, I will most definitely visit that location and work with Julian again.
All the best to him for being an amazing sales associate.

Great experience with salesperson, Martin, at the Tampa location. However, the delivery showed up with damaged and missing items. We were refunded, but store manager, Gibson Audalus, models POOR customer service. He couldn't be bothered to even walk over to talk to customers who had just spent several thousands on home furnishings that we did not receive. Shop here if you want a pleasant shopping experience with Martin. But...buying anything is a huge risk with the way this store is mismanaged. Signed, Very Disappointed.

I wish can give them zero stars worst furniture company they lie so much they're so unprofessional. DO NOT purchase from them. Their furnitures are TRASH. I got a reselect on my furniture and I had the previous box for the first bed and since I selected something different because the one I got was TRASH now the box that I have is too big and they refuse to exchange it to something that will fit the new bed I HATE their business I praying one day they will loose all their customers. CITY FURNITURE IS TRASH....❌❌‼️‼️
