I would highly recommend Tony Neilson. We recently used him for a party wall agreement. He was very professional polite and efficient. He took the stress out of this action. He fully explained the steps involved and kept and updated us with the process. Nothing was too much trouble.

A very responsive professional service from the start. Everything explained along with the different fees that would be payable depending on different outcomes. Reports provided very quickly. Would highly recommend

I made the serious error of opting for Christopher Anthony to act for both a neighbour building an extension - the paying party - and myself, the non-paying party. While the initial interaction was positive, I quickly realised who of the two parties was calling the shots – or, in other words: it became clear to me that the stated commitment to act fairly and equally in the interest of both parties had no basis in really. The Award was issued hurriedly, because of pressure from the paying party – in fact, the excavations started, illegally, before the Award was issued with no action taken. More seriously, the Award was issued despite some important design aspects directly pertaining to the party wall NOT being resolved, and this to the very end. Communications with Christpher Anthony’s surveyor quickly became rather one-sided, with my mails simply remaining unanswered. I had no evidence or knowledge of any checks or any other process to verify that the builders stuck to the terms Award, and my impression is that the surveyor simply abandoned the whole process. In my book, this amounted to unprofessional conduct. I was especially infuriated by the lack of reply to a series of emails querying why open issues remained unresolved. In conclusion, all I would advise is: avoid!

We used Tony for our party wall agreements this year. They were quick to respond, helpful and provided a professional service. Much appreciated.

I had a third party wall survey done by these guys. Unbelievably slow to respond and rude when they did. Missed all deadlines they set. When I did speak to them, they did not care one jot.

Throughout the whole building process for an extension, this was by far - by a long, long way - the worst company i worked with.

We were not told that the neighbour dissented and instructed their own solicitor. It was poorly handled. Letters were posted to the wrong address. I don’t even know if they attended the properties.

Tony eventually did the agreement after months of emails, phone calls and being ignored. Our building work was nearly heavily delayed.

And the final agreements were not what I asked for. This meant the wall was not in the right place but their lateness meant we had to progress anyway. Genuinely awful.

I just want to make sure others are aware.

I had the worst experience ever with this company.

Incompetent & unprofessional doesn’t even begin to describe them! Firstly, within a week of dealing with them I wanted to cease business with them, because of their lack of communication. But was told that due to party wall regulations I had to continue. They drew up the agreement & once that was done I couldn’t get through to them anymore. Emailed & email bounced back, called left messages but no response. Now they’ve in fact changed their company name. They aren’t registered with any governing bodies, eg RICS so can’t be reported for their incompetence & failures. Now I have no recourse & my property has been damaged by the owners builders who had a rear ground floor extension & dormer loft extension built. The builders left the sewage uncapped after extending, for weeks & the stench was bad enough but rats infested my home & ate the electrical wiring causing £2000 worth of electrical damage. Also damage to floorboards & skirtings, which now have to be replaced. We were without electricity for an entire month & had to move out of our home. We lived on takeaway food etc couldn’t have any tea for days! Lost all our food in chest freezer & fridge freezer too! We have lived in our home for 41 years & never had an issue with rats EVER until next door digging up the sewage pipes & leaving it uncapped for weeks!
Christopher Anthony surveyors, I regret the day I appointed them. 1 star is even too good, they don’t even warrant a rating!

2 years have past and party wall dispute still not resolved
They don't respond after payment is taken, they simply disappear and are rude. Damage was done by neighbours and surveyors still have no t completed report

Totally unresponsive. Not to be trusted. No review forthcoming several weeks after the work had already commenced.

Instructed them to do my party wall .
- They got neighbours details wrong
- got my details wrong
- had to chase a number of times to get it corrected .
Poor communication

In the end had to go to another surveyor .
