Took my money and didn't provide a service
This person stole from me! I hired Chris in Mai after I had met him at a networking meeting. He made so many promises and made it sound like he would be able to grow my business to a several-million-dollar business in a few years. Unfortunately, after hiring him, it became clear pretty quickly that he wasn't up to the task. The work he performed was so below standard, it was embarrassing. He didn't know how to run an IG account, and all his writing was done with AI.
I raised concerns several times, which he always deflected. After 3 months of working with him, I talked to him about cancelling the contract because our numbers were declining so steadily, it was scary, and definitely accelerated by the subpar work he did. I asked him to cancel our agreement without the 30-day cancellation period that the contract stated. He said he couldn't let me out early, which I accepted. I asked him to complete 2 very specific tasks during these last 30 days, because I was stuck with him. He then took payment for an additional month and never did any work again. He stole $3.000 from me on top of being completely incompetent for the type of work I needed for my business. He knew that he wasn't the right person from the start, yet he chose to sell himself as the perfect candidate. Before I canceled our agreement, I asked him if he was used to working on the type of tasks I required him to complete, and he said that he didn't usually do these things; he usually would only direct this kind of work. That is not the same answer he gave me when I first interviewed him. He lied to me and stole from me and I hope that I can save other people from making the same mistake with him.
