Stale tasting chips. Like old oil taste. Sure they've been open for years but if the final product tastes sickening then something is wrong.... Somewhere..!
Fish superb, as usual. Usually the best but last evening takeaway, the chips were barely warm.
As a 71 year old this was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Booked a table in advance as it was Friday night, friendly greeting, great service and excellent food. The fish was beautifully cooked and really fresh and the chips were divine, good sized portion and beautifully presented. Will certainly be going there again and recommending to others. Well done Chipwick.
We have been getting regular takeaway fish & chips here for years and recommending it to others but the last few months I don't know what has changed but the supposedly triple cooked chips have gone down hill rapidly, no longer well cooked & crisp but pale and under cooked so much so today they were inedible so thrown to the seagulls. We have given Pickwicks the benefit of the doubt several times but no more, each time just gets worse so have now lost our custom.
Visited over the weekend, greeted by lovely staff and served drinks very quickly. Myself and my wife chose cod and chips, batter was light and crispy, fish white and fresh and chips Devine. I went for a crumble to finish and my wife the chocolate fondant. Both Amazing, thanks Chipwick.
Excellent quality food. Unfortunately, a bit of a victim of its own success (very busy, queuing down the street, deposit needed for table bookings) but it is well deserved.
I find it bizarre that a coastal town has a dearth of good fish 'n chip restaurants but at least Chipwick makes one!
We have been getting a takeaway for ages from Chipwick at Worthing. Recently customers have had to wait outside (as with most other takeaways) for our orders. That's ok. When placing orders our preferrence is for salt and vinegar but it only ever gets put on the chips. Asking for it on the fish too is acknowledged but as we can't see it being packed and by the time we get it all boxed and bagged up it is not easy to check. We usually end up disappointed.
