The customer service of this bank in simply appalling. People on the phone are completely useless. They actually don’t know their jobs and give different advice on procedures to follow. I made a written request for an update of my telephone number and 10 days later nothing happened. When contacted they stated that they didn’t receive any request even if I had email receipt stating the contrary. I had to send everything back. They are time wasters with no customer service awareness. Shame on you chebanca! Please avoid this bank if you can
The worst customer service imaginable
The worst customer service imaginable. This bank is unhelpful, slow and fails to assist. I am 91 years old and more than a year after my husbands death, with whom I had a joint bank account, I am still waiting for funds.

Chebanca has no customer service for the UK, I have tied many times to log in to the site. I have to reset a DD as they have not paid it cannot access the English site so I have to translate all the pages.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Do not respond to messages sent through their contact email. Cannot access my account since they updated their app. Security to access the account is over the top. I appreciate its an Italian Bank now but nothing in English. Surprising for a bank that functions online with international customers inherited from barclays. Avoid.
Bank Robbers
After settling my French mortgage in full, CheBanca took another monthly payment from my account for 1,185 euros six days later. They do not answer my emails and they have not refunded me.
Terrible bank with absolutely no customer service.
I have even contacted Lorenzo Bassani CEO (formerly with Barclays) via LinkedIn. Google him and you will find a dedicated page. Unfortunately TrustPilot will not allow me to include the link in this review.
Deal with CheBanca at your peril. They would not get away with this in the UK.
I am trying to alter my email address
I am trying to alter my email address, in the client area. In the gestione contatti there is no button for 'modificare', and when I email them to ask how to change it, they give me the same instructions, which are the same steps I have already told them do not work. You can't email them because you can only use the (out of date) email address. Does anyone know how to change the email address?
I've been with this bank for years
I've been with this bank for years, since it first opened in Italy, initially, it started well, the app was intuitive and I didn't have problems with it. Now I feel like bursting into tears every time I have to even open the app. I'm a young person with a fairly good memory and I don't even know how many times I blocked my account because I can't remember one of the numerous codes. Today to log in and do something I had to insert 5 different codes, which I didn't do on time, so I had to do it twice. I was recently abroad, couldn't remember a code you need to even speak to them and it's a hassle that could be avoided.
So, this bank is a hassle that you should avoid.

I would give 0 stars but it is not possible. CheBanca not only closed my account, but when I tried to transfer out the remaining money I had in my account refused to acknowledge the I am myself because I could not remember what year I opened the account. What do I care? It's been a terrible experience all along, so I was happy to have the account closed, but I did not need them to swallow 475 euros I happen to need to buy food and pay rent, etc., and I did not need to shout at them until I was hoarse. BEWARE, THEY SUCK, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BANKING WITH THEM!

It is the same with me
It is the same with me. When Barclay's sold out to Chebanca it became a nightmare! They are a 'digital bank' and no one speaks English in order to help. I am in Canada, so there's a bit time difference. It took a good 2 years to get linked with them, from a security perspective. Then, they changed systems again. A "token' device they sent in the mail never arrived. It took 2 years to get one. Now, I have no English instructions, and the translation does not help! I cannot see what money is in my account and it is scary.
Horrendous bank
Horrendous bank, barclays sold us out to them. Unable to access my account for a whole year, now as of this month, unable to pay my mortgage, no idea what is going on and customer service don't want to know. Do Italy have a place to complain about banks??? How is this bank allowed to continue as a bank???
Bank that doesn’t work
Just the worse customer service! You just get stress every time that you call them. They seems always angry and tough, it looks like you are bothering them!!! I applied 3 times for my debit card and I still without one.. the first time was in July and we are in October! Every time that used this account I had to go to the bank to withdraw money, once I didn’t receive the debit card, and they also charge me for it !!!!!!!!!!! If you try to explain the situation they just got really tough on you, really embarrassing!!! And is not a matter of language because I speak Italian

We got a mortgage with Barclays and now…
We got a mortgage with Barclays and now we are trapped with Che Banca! It’s 4 months since we requested new codes to access our account so that we can do the most basic of functions as checking our balance. The customer service is non existent. We called and emailed many times and were told a different lie every single time. We haven’t been able to check the balance since before xmas. I am shocked at how this bank is allowed to operate

I have an account with CheBanca! but would not recommend it. Customer service seems non-existent even if you can cope with Italian. An irritating thing is that the website requires a number of codes to access but you cannot get the codes without accessing the website. This is Catch 22 in action.
