SCAM No option to give 0 stars

No option to give 0 stars. This is a scam company. I booked my flight for 2 and had to cancel due to covid diagnosis. I was told I had to pay 250$(which I did) in addition to my fare to cancel this reservation. They refused to refund me. I had one year to use my future credit. I rebooked one of the 2 reservations and had to pay an additional 150$. To no avail I cannot reach company no response to my emails and the phone message says " vacant number" I have called daily and to no avail to get my money back. Greater than 500$. I was harassed and called back on several occasion when booking my initial flight when I told the agent "Ted",the flight was too expensive, and I could book on google. Obviously from India by accent if I had to guess. It is the preverbal bait and switch. Do not use this company at all costs... and trust me, it will cost you! This is the number the email stated to call to use future credit.855-222-7164. Buyer Beware. Multiple emails later and still no response. Hard lesson learned in Medford Oregon. Book through Airline directly. During hard times I tried to save a $ and ended up spending $$$$ more than I had. Reservation Fri Dec 16th, 2022, 3IIFZ5

Jacob Williams (travel expert)

Jacob Williams (travel expert), was a study in composure, kindness, and professionalism. Becoming agitated during our conversation (my anxiety, not his), he remained calm, and reassuring, while explaining your flight-insurance coverage and cost, all of which were in my best interest. Thank you Jacob. Regards, Michelle White

This company uses manipulative business practices

This company uses manipulative business practices. They will offer a low fare, let you purchase it, and then (without mentioning it anywhere in the confirmation email or website) at some point in the next day they will try to call you, and if you miss their call, once you call them back they will tell you that the fare you booked is no longer available. Instead, they'll offer you a price that is more expensive than the typical fare for that flight - mine was $370 for a $317 flight. They say that I could've gotten the lower fare if I'd answered the phone, but of course, there's no reason to actually believe that. Don't waste your time with them.

Pro tip

Pro tip: Cancel your credit card while you are on the phone with "Cheapbestfares" because they are forcing you into paying higher fees. Do not hang up the phone until your card is canceled and before they charge you erroneous fees!

Price advertised did not match my charges

I booked a return ticket for my son in August. I received an email stating that they were having trouble to get in touch with me even though I had provided them with my cell number and had it in front of me. I called them back, incurring long distance charges and was placed on hold several times for over 25 minutes in total. I was was finally informed that the price of the return flight had increased by almost $100 and I had to pay the difference. At this point I tried to cancel the ticket but Andrew (their agent) told me that this was not possible. He also asked me to send a photo of my credit card and driver's license for approval as it was an international credit card. I told him that I was not comfortable doing so but he insisted that my ticket was already issued and could not be refunded. I do not appreciate their tactics of false advertising one airfare and charging another, I would have preferred to cancel my transaction altogether with this dubious website. I will NEVER use cheapbestfares.com ever again.
