We were looking to replace our bath with a shower as my wife and I are now elderly and found it a bit difficult getting in and out of the bath.
We visited the supplier with the the measurements of the bathroom and got the materials and a quote for the replacement.
As it is best to get more than one quote, we contacted Charles Henderson Construction (CHC), who we had used twice before (for extension and fitting our kitchen), and he gave us a reasonable quote and we gave him the job.
He checked the materials we had and advised us that the store had used the wrong measurement and sent wrong materials.
He went with us to the store and saw the person we were dealing with and also spoke to the manufacturers and further made sure we had all the right materials.
He gave us a start date and said that he would make sure that we were not inconvenienced too much.
He did the work to a good and acceptable standard.
We are very pleased with the work.
We will always be using CHC for any other jobs we may have as he has so much knowledge in the trade.
We have already recommended him to two other persons.

The project involved transforming my first-floor two-bedroom, one-bath home into a two-bedroom, two-bath, including moving multiple rooms, restructuring spaces, and coordinating a full team of skilled tradespeople including electricians, plumbers, tilers, wonderful builders, plasterers, painters and an incredible carpenter.

I engaged Charles Henderson Construction to rebuild my garage. They were not the cheapest quote I received but I was taken with the proprietor – Henderson’s commitment to recycling where possible.
The garage was in a terrible state of disrepair with a leaking roof, crumbling walls and rotting wooden doors. Henderson and his team have completely transformed the garage with a total rebuild, retaining and reusing original parts wherever possible.
Henderson leads from the front and expects his team to follow that lead in putting the customer needs front and centre. He discussed all aspects of the build with me as we went along, providing technical advice to facilitate decisions. He looks for problems before they arise and uses his expertise and creativity to address them in advance.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Charles Henderson Construction for your building projects. You will get a professional team full of technical and practical expertise led by Henderson. 2. The team was very professional in the way it handled its approach to the work. They listened to the client and were willing to accommodate fresh needs of the client as the work progressed without excessive charges.

I engaged CHC to undertake the complete renovation of a severly neglected flat - including new kitchen and bathroom, new windows, new central heating system, replastering and painting walls and ceilings and installing new flooring throughout.

CHC's quote included full project management of the renovation, which in my view was definitely worth paying for. I have a full-time job so the fact Henderson and his team were able to co-ordinate the works with minimal involvement from me was invaluable.

At the initial site visit for the quotation, Henderson offered useful advice and recommendations, and this continued throughout the process. Communication throughout the renovation was quick and clear, and problems were raised promptly with reasonable solutions proposed. Any questions were answered properly, and photo updates were provided when requested. Big thanks to Chantelle who put up with lots of silly questions from me with professionalism and most importantly in this industry - complete honesty!

I recently engaged Charles Henderson Construction for a major refurbishment of a large 4-bedroom maisonette in Harlesden. Henderson and his team worked diligently and steadily throughout the 4-month project, delivering a well-built and superbly finished product. Henderson is a master builder who will add great value to any building project. His knowledge of the industry is unrivalled, and his project management skills are superb. When you engage CHC you will not only get an excellent Contractor but a project manager (Henderson) who will look after your property and budget like it’s his own, from the design phase through to post-handover. The attention to detail and long-term view regarding quality and maintenance is something I was particularly impressed with. CHC work is covered by a 10-year structural warranty and Henderson has been quick to remedy any inevitable teething issues that arise post-construction. I am an experienced property developer, having used many different builders over the years, and I must say Henderson has proven to be the most knowledgeable and professional by some measure. I would have no hesitation in using CHC again and recommending them to anyone embarking on a Construction project; big or small.

CHC renovated our house from top to bottom. The job included underfloor heating throughout; a new staircase; data cabling; replastering; and colourful decorating. The job has been completed in a timely manner, and at an exceptional level of quality.

Moreover, we had additional works with another company - a new door being installed by Anglia - and Henderson was able to work with their requirements very well. We're very happy with the results.

A good contractor lets you know when there is an unexpected problem on the job. An excellent contractor immediately informs you, and lays out the costed options, with their positive and negative aspects. This is exactly what Henderson did when we discovered that the plaster in our property was flaking and not fit for purpose. The job's completion time was affected, but the new plastering was well done.

I recommend CHC to anyone who wants their construction work done well, and right the first time.

CHC project managed and undertook renovation work to our studio flat in Baywater. As is expected we were a little apprehensive when we first embarked on this project as it was our first time having any building or renovation work done.
Right from the initial discussions Henderson made us feel at complete ease and guided us smoothly through the works.

CHC have conducted a complete property refurbishment for me which included new Kitchen and Bathroom installation, Complete Electrical rewire, New central heating install and window replacement.
