Support and information non-existent.

I am looking for a good reliable doorbell for an elderly friend.
He wants / needs 3 x ringers, so I want to look at the manuals before purchase.
But, NONE of the manuals are available for download!
Additionally, it is VERY DIFFICULT if not IMPOSSIBLE to notify support that this is a problem!
So, I will NOT BE PURCHASING a Byron doorbell.

The Byron wireless doorbell is awful!

The Byron wireless doorbell is awful!
I'm on my second wireless Byron doorbell and it's constantly not working, same as the last one. Less than two metres of distance between the button and the receiver, brand new, good quality batteries, no obvious sources of interference, nothing helps. After a while it stops working and requires a battery-out reset. Then it works for a couple of days or weeks before it breaks again. DO NOT BUY!

Changed behaviour of "DBY-22322UK"

Two years ago I purchased the Byron wireless doorbell kit ("DBY-22322UK" and matching push button "DBY-23510") as well as the wired to wireless converter "10.023.80/BY32". Those items worked perfectly together and I was mostly happy with how it worked. Last week the ringer failed by ringing constantly when switched on. Despite my reservations about doing so I bought another ringer from Byron with the exact same model number "DBY-22322UK" thinking that would be the easiest way to get things working again. However, I now find that this item does not pair with "10.023.80/BY32". Byron customer support is non-existent but I wrote to sales.uk at smartwaresgroup.com and they wrote back confirming that the wired to wireless converter "10.023.80/BY32" does not work with "DBY-22322UK" and there is no wired to wireless converter that does. Pathetic, the company changed the product to stop it working and kept the same model number. This is dreadful behaviour.

Installed Byron DBY 22 doorbell only to find ghost ringing which I eventually found to be associated with neighbours' ( 20m away) doorbell being operated. Can I change frequency? NO. Can I block neighbours' doorbell ringing my doorbell? NO. Are Byron interested? NO

Doorbell works but plastic fitting is useless.

About ten uses before the fitting failed. Had to use tape to stop it falling off.

Doorbell failed. New unit won't pair. Website useless.

Wireless plug-through chime failed in just under 2 years. Bought new unit of identical model. It won't pair with existing kit. Website is useless, either you get looped back to where you started, or the page linked is unavailable, and there is no way to contact any human to report this, let alone ask for help. They don't even seem to have a presence on Facebook.I, personally, will not touch Byron with a barge pole after this abyssmal experience.

Hopeless customer service

Happy with the door bell and chime. I've tried to contact them via phone and website, it's hopeless. I would like to purchase a black bell push.
No one answers the phone, get transferred to a voice message in Dutch. Website enquiries are impossible.

Very difficult to set up.

Installed a 24112-UK today. Instructions were useless, web site was useless, finally figured out how to set it up thanks to Chat GPT. It's working OK so far.

Doorbell

Bought a Byron wireless plug-in doorbell in April through Amazon. Firstly front cover of push button did not stay secure once mounted but as it worked I just used some tape. Then after a couple of weeks it went off in the night and no one there. After a month, it’s now going off on its own daily and driving dog crazy. It is obviously on the same frequency as something else but that can’t be changed. It’s past the return date after a month. On the makers website the page for the model frequency issues does not exist and you cannot submit a query as every time I tried it reverted to the main support page which does not help me. The only reason it can’t be returned is they make it impossible. Utterly useless!!

Zero direct customer service

My doorbell is faulty. Finding any sort of customer service was impossible. No instructions available anywhere on their website (no links provided to PDFs - for my model or any of the others I looked at). Various broken web links (why are they not fixed?). Other links go to Dutch (using an English web version). Customer 'support' comprises a few FAQs, which don't help. Further customer support takes you round and round in circles, with no one to talk to. I found a phone number for the UK but the phone service appears to be permanently down. What a shambles. Never buying Byron again. Sad to see such an old company in such a state.

25931 Product Information

This doorbell is an excellent looking piece of kit! Just what you would expect from a company that's been around for many years, unfortunately the instructions that came with the unit are dire. Even on the web there is very little info on this model. A few 40 or so second film clips, that are all the same are not good enough. With a bit of guess work, I got there. It came with no batteries, even the bell push button's was missing. A bit pricey & with only 8 different ring tones, there are others with a mains indoor unit with 32 at a 1/4 of the price. Sure they are not "Pro" or "Smart," but I guess you get what you pay for.

Byron Doorbells

I've always bought Byron doorbells and never had a problem. Doorbells are not complicated and generally you just pop your batteries in, pair the push with the chime and off you go.

THIS MUST BE ONE OF THE WORST CO I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR A WEEK TOO CONTACT THEM BY PHONE AND E MAIL AS THE BELL PUSH DID NOT PAIR UP THIS LAST MESSAGE SUMS THEM UP SORRY THE OFFICE IS NOW CLOSED WE ARE OPEN FROM 10AM TILL 3.30PM THE CALL WAS MADE AT 12 OCLOCK GIVE UP NOW

I have been unable to pair a third unit…

I have been unable to pair a third unit to a two part set, after three months trying to get a response. There is no customer service from this company. They have literally cut off communication. I believe this contravenes trading standards and will be reoporting them duly.

Not amused with quality

Have purchased a plug in wireless doorbell set, on fixing the push bell to outside wall one of the clips broke off and after managing to do a repair we attached the bell push to the wall, then l tried to select a chime but the instructions were not very clear and after several readings we discovered it had to be done before the bell push cover was put on. As the clip had broken it is unadvisable to disturb the fixings so out of 16 tunes l have one which is not suitable to be heard all around the house.
