Wasn't too bad back when it started but since Rogers took it over it is really problematic getting issues resolved. Oh well I still have a good basic plan for Canadian use.

Website account cancelled when number ported out without any email confirmation. Waited 1&3/4 hours on the line and then only got assurances that I would not be charged further but remaining days on the monthly payment would not be reimbursed. Again the agent said she will contact the back office to confirm via email. I tried to respond by email to customer service and it was blocked.

F#$k this company honestly. They made me leaving the country that much more stressful than it needed to be. On hold for over 2 hours to try and port my number over from fido. Had to cancel my entire number in the end becuase they wouldn't answer. Do NOT use this service. I didn't get my money back either

Phone companies try to get you for everything
To be honest I was very happy with chatr but this past month has been a nightmare. They have updated their on line services to make it easier. We'll guess what it made it worse. I have 4 phones with chatr and because of the update I need 4 different email addresses for them and because it's a pay as you go phone it's what's best for the kids. But since there update I can't just go online to pay nope I have to reregister each number with different email addresses and when it doesn't work and I have to call in to top up the phone they want to charge me $8 for them to do it. Sorry but I'm not paying when you decided to make thing more complicated for people. Thanks Rogers for taking over and making everything worse. So now maybe I'll look into freedom mobile. Now you lost a customer with 4 phones and I'll tell other about the issues as well. Since I told a few people to go with chatr. I'll take them elsewhere.
Bad Internet Speed
I contacted customer service to let them know my dissatisfaction about the internet speed which is supposed to be 150mb per second...
Still the same problem even after working on this problem. I only have between 1mb to 30mb per second...it varies...one thing is for sure, not 150mb not once. Very bad experience...gang of crooks !

The kiosk at Burnaby Costco forced me to buy the 50 Gig monthly plan and claimed the second month is gonna be free. They said I'm gonna receive a text message and earn a month free if I use that specific plan which was a scam and lie. Saturday went to chatr store to inquire they checked my account every thing paid , still have minutes and data, SIM is good.

Absolutely garbage service. Horrible customer service. Somehow, you just managed to tax me 3 different times trying to load my phone. A 50 card, cost almost 60 bucks. Your coverage area sucks. Your map says I'm in full coverage, but in order to use the phone it has to be in roaming mode. You guys suck
Bad app, bad company, avoid...
The app is so bad you can't even review it on Google Play. Works less than half the time. Useless app for useless Rogers. No idea if others are as bad as Rogers, but would be hard to be. Avoid Rogers as they can't even do an app. Been like this for years and they never improve. They don't care about their customers at all.
Customer service lady was fantastic
Customer service was very friendly and extremely helpful. I love that I can talk to a live person right away. When I was with Koodo I had to schedule a phone call which usually was for a day or two later, which didn't help me in the moment. I didn't have to wait long to speak with someone. I know sometimes it is a bit of a wait on hold, but their prices are very good, so they probably don't have the same amount of representatives as companies where you're paying two and three times as much. It's a lot better than waiting 2 days!!

Buyer beware. Do NOT use Chatr.
My SIM worked for 2 weeks then stopped. SIM not provisioned. Try the usual fixes: off and on again; airplane mode; remove and reinsert SIM; try another SIM... Agent at kiosk couldn't help, said call Chatr. Chatr maybe uses a Third Party customer service because after 20 minutes on Hold, the person "helping" me had no idea what "provisioned" meant, then spent another 25 minutes waiting for tech support who never answered.. back to original kiosk, same questions, same dead-ends. Poor guy there tried to call customer service. Same experience. I recommend ANY Other Provider.
Average connectivity and slow
Struggled to connect in some spots in Vancouver including New Westminister. Once the data for the month was used up, the slow speeds were worse than dial up. So slow I couldn't even top-up or change plans.
Zero empathy phone support
I went into the Fido/Rogers/Chatr store for a new plan and the rep moved me from Chatr to Rogers.
A few months later I discovered that they never cancelled Chatr and I had been paying the whole time.
When I called Chatr support, I was on hold for 40mins and then the call dropped. Then I called back and waited another 40mins.
When I finally got through, the phone agent lectured me about "you know what they say about people when the assume things" and "I'm just trying to help you not make mistakes again" and "that's a different business unit" and "that's why they have fine print so you need to make sure you read it".
I tried in vain to get him to see how this assumption that the Rogers/Fido/Chatr rep would have cancelled the old account was reasonable.
Instead, just more lectures.
I couldn't once get him to agree that my impression that employees working in a combined Fido/Rogers/Chatr store would cancel an old account on porting between their brands.
I guess Chatr should be stoked to have a rep that is so focused on their own policies and fine print.
As a customer, the lack of empathy was super frustrating.
I've submitted a refund request for that period. I sure hope it comes through.
But after being lectured by a phone CSR about me making mistakes, it's hard to imagine ever wanting to engage with them again.
