I’ve been shopping at Charles Clinkard’s since I was a child in Middlesbrough. After moving to the southwest twenty six years ago, it was a delightful surprise to see this familiar name in Cribbs Causeway. My shoes are comfortable and elegant. The quality is excellent and I’m very pleased with them.

Ease of use of website, slippers despatched and delivered efficiently

I ordered and paid for some boots. The boots were delivered by DPD, but not to my address, but to a neighbour down the road. I went to the neighbour to collect and they denied having them despite photographic evidence. Called DPD who as far as they were concerned had fulfilled their contract by delivering the parcel. Called Charles Clinkard who backed up what DPD had said, even though they had not tried to deliver to my house and then they refused to honour a refund or replacement. It was even suggested I go back and confront the neighbour. Save your money and shop elsewhere. Their service is appalling, leaving a customer out of pocket shows me exactly what they think of their customers.

I was very well looked after by the sales lady and I didn't make life easy for her by changing my mind over what footwear I wanted. I ended up with two superb pairs of boots. I highly recommend Charles Clinkard for your footwear choices.

Instead of a pair of boots I received 2 left boots !

I shopped at Charles Clinkard, Stratford upon Avon. My husband finds it hard to buy bedroom slippers in size 6.There were none in stock but the very helpful assistant ordered a pair in the style I liked, and it arrived very quickly. Also it was great that there was no charge for delivery or return if needed. They fit beautifully. I have always had very good service in Stratford and Keswick.

Excellent service from your staff in Keswick .My size was unavailable in my chose shoe , but she arranged a home delivery to arrive after my return from holiday .She was so helpful , and the shoes are stylish and comfortable .Many thanks

I ordered a pair of Hotter walking boots and
all sizes were available. I ordered my size and received confirmation. A few days later they sent me a generic email to say the boots were out of stock and would be refunding my payment of around £90! I wasn't happy but decided to try again with another style of Hotter boots. Again I ordered and paid £99. 24 hours later I received the same generic email advising they too were out of stock! There is no excuse for having products on their site that aren't available. Would never order from them again. I did ring and spoke to a lad who seemed half asleep and couldn't give any reason for the boots still being on their website nor whether even Hotter had any!

First time ordering from this company. The website is decent, has a good selection and is easy to navigate. The downside is the shipping time. Considering how expensive the shoes are, they should be offering 48hr tracked delivery as standard. Right now, I have no idea if my package will arrive in time. Shipping times really need to be improved.
