Chasing me for someone else debt

Have been chasing me wrong debt linked to someone who I have no record of ever living at my property. I, in response, provided coucil tax to prove I am not said person. They still send a baliff anyways, who was, very professional but still decided to bang my door down while my kid was sleeping.

Am now in the process of making a formal complaint with aim to escalate under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 and for this continued harassment of me and my family.

Misleading advice that no one should receive

I never expected to be given advice that could have affected my legal rights by a company acting on behalf of a local authority.

During my communications with CDER, I was repeatedly told to pay first and then appeal. Enfield Council’s own published guidance says the exact opposite: once payment is made, the case is closed and no further appeal is possible. If I had followed CDER’s advice, I could have lost my right to challenge the penalty.

I was also told that my appeal stage had ended, despite Enfield Council confirming that my appeal had been successfully submitted and was awaiting a decision.

This experience left me feeling frustrated, confused and completely let down. When a company is involved in enforcing legal debts, accuracy is essential. People should be able to trust that the information they are given about their rights is correct.

I have submitted a formal complaint and requested that all call recordings and communications are reviewed. I hope CDER takes this seriously so that nobody else receives the same confusing and potentially harmful advice.

Appalling company

Appalling company , offer repayment was refused, text & call daily even on a SUNDAY , even though the system reads we should call back on the Monday THEY STILL CALLED AND TEXTED Saturday & Sunday
Staff must be reading from a script their online system is absolutely worthless .
Council should read their reviews & cancell contract , I've written to the council to with all my concerns as I'm so overwhelmed by there relentless calling , I've put forward a reasonable & realistic payment plan , which they have ignored , this is not a company that the council should be dealing with.

CROOKS!!!!

This company and ULEZ London should be ashamed of themselves. How can any of you staff work for this company? Do you enjoy STEALING people's money? So you enjoy knowing that your disgusting actions have devastating consequences on people's lives! You claimed you'd sent multiple letters to our old address....but then you slipped up....you dropped yourselves in it by telling us that in fact you had our CURRENT address but sent NO correspondence!! You are thieving, dirty, crooks! How these get away with this I don't know? But anyone wanting to know...they will diddle you out of your money and they lie!!! They are All corrupt!! And so are the staff that work there!! They charged us £600 for an unpaid UlEZ fee....which we thought wasn't a ULEZ zone. That fee....£12. Sent letters "apparently" to an old address that we'd not lived there for 5 years, and claimed it wasn't their fault! Yet after phoning back, they then stated they had our current address in SCOTLAND!!! They knew all along!! So why not send letters to the CURRENT address??? Bunch of disgusting humans. Be warned you guys....they're crooks!!!

this company that feeds off the misery…

this company that feeds off the misery of others put a letter addressed to somebody else at a different address through our door, hand delivered and supposed to be signed for. I've just called them, told them, and thrown the letter away as have no intention of doing their dirty work for them and delivering it to the correct address. what a bunch. the address is so obviously different it almost seems a tactic to deliberately deliver to the wrong address in order to catch out their victim

Dreadful company

Dreadful company. Sent a parking violation letter to my tenants address for someone that moved out 5 years ago Advised of the above information to someone who basically wasn’t interested or bothered and they wanted a copy of the tenancy agreement (against gdpr rules). My tenants rang them a couple of times also and again got an abrupt and rude experience. Then an enforcement officer called on my tenants at 6.30 am and she was shown the tenancy agreement. My tenants were told they wouldn’t hear anymore. 3 days later a letter arrived confirming enforcement officer had visited and next time they would seize goods !!!!!tenants rang again to be told letter was written the day before the officer arrived !!! This company should be struck off

Plastered all over their website they…

Plastered all over their website they are “here to help” yet their bailiffs are intimidating bullies. How they can justify putting arbitrary charges for hundreds of pounds on top of small fines for literally no reason is beyond me. How does a £30 fine go to £395? How can you justify those ridiculous amounts when it’s cost you nothing? Current complaint in progress and will take to ombudsman after. This company is disgusting and making profit from it.

This company are an absolute disgrace…

This company are an absolute disgrace have been regularly attending my elderly mothers address despite the fact I haven't lived there for 20 years. I called them to ask them not to and they refused tried to belittle me on the phone before then ending the call whilst I was mid sentence. They blocked her car in so she couldn't leave and left her very distressed. I'd rather go to court than pay these clowns a penny.

Phone agent clearly gets tonnes of abues and thinks its OK to go all out attack the moment you speak to her. Pathetic bunch of schoolground bullies somehow with legal credibility.

Incompetant..again

Ive never had any credit and this company have been phoning and texting me for at least 6 years asking to speak to Julie (Im a man) and threatening bailiffs. Every time I tell them "Im not Julie" every time they say they will remove my number and update their records, and every time they call me again.
This time they asked for my name to go through security, how does that work? Why should they now have my name and what does my name do for security when they have Julie!
Ive been told this time round they have no records of any of the previous 20 to 25 calls so Im to assume deleting / updating records makes not a jot of difference to the outcome of me being threatened.
Well I will just have to Ignore the next call / text under penalty of bailiffs as they put it.
Ill let you know how this one goes on presumably they will have the audio of the 25 calls.
My personal experience is this company alienate the innocent caught in the cross fire of their incompetance.

Rude, aggressive and dismissing

Wow, i paid off the debt and CDER group still sent enforcement officers. When explained and wanted to evidence payment. The officers was aggressive, dismissive and rude. Very intimidating and scary. When you call the office, they tell you speak to the officer in charge of the case and that person was so dismissive. So could never resolve it.

Fantastic service!

Fantastic service!
Mr Whyte is an exceptional Baliff with all the physical attributes and intimidating behavioural traits required to ensure compliance for all your local council reclamation needs.
Well worth not paying your ever inflating council tax to subsidise your shitty mis-prioritised communities needs, just to get the exceptional experience of CDER services!
Top marks from me

Absolutely disgusting behaviour

Absolutely disgusting behaviour, they have more chance meeting the king then ever getting a penny out of me. Rude, disrespectful and tried to be aggressive until they was met with real aggression. They lied and caused me alarm and distress.

Don’t rely on email – no response and bailiffs arrive regardless

Absolutely terrible experience.

We never received the original PCN or any prior correspondence. The very first contact we had was a letter from this company demanding payment. We immediately emailed requesting photographic evidence and clarification, as this was the first we knew about the matter.

Five days later — with no response whatsoever — a bailiff turned up at our house demanding payment. The amount initially quoted was £660, which then changed to £560 when questioned.

When we called the office to challenge this, we were told emails can take up to 10 days to be reviewed and, unbelievably, accounts are not placed on hold while queries are investigated — even when specifically requested.

We were effectively left with no choice but to pay immediately to avoid further action.

The whole process felt completely unfair and incredibly poorly handled. Ironically, their website says: “Supporting you on your journey to freedom from debt.” Based on our experience, that could not feel further from the truth.
