The quality of the image in cctv cameras are measured in TV Lines of resolution (TVL). The average resolution is about 400 TVL and the best ones range extends up to 570 TVL.
The cctv cameras can be best used when the specific cameras are used in the specific environments. For example, there are outdoor day and night cameras that are perfect to be put at the entrance so that they can capture the happenings all day and night.
