Despite unexpected problems during the initial period, which were swiftly resolved, the actual installation was professional and efficient by a team who knew their job. At all times they were courteous, thorough and willing to answer any question and explain their actions. The handover was completed quickly and thoroughly with all questions answered and the follow up met the same standard.

Install went well arrived as agreed and completed job in a week as predicted, great team cleaned up and made amends on install as original external layout previous agreed had overlooked the gas storage. The install was in August in the heat wave and so whilst the team commissioned the heat pump and it was all working, once it turned colder issues began to appear..
Eventually I realised one of the issues was that the downstairs zone was incorrectly labelled as first floor, no issue once identified as easy enough to relabel and swap over the thermostats. Of bigger concern is that one of the downstairs rooms does not ever hit the thermostat temp of 21C. Given its currently mild outside and it calls for heat all day and does not get above 19, concerned when its freezing outside not going to get anywhere near desired temperature. After a 4 weeks wait someone came out, confirmed the zones were incorrectly labelled and advised the radiators needed balanced, and disappeared. No one ever phones you back despite multiple messages. Still waiting (another 2 weeks) for someone to call back and arrange the balancing (end of October).
6 weeks to organise another contractor to resolve an issue (not even an appointment in the future to get it fixed) is not acceptable and your words of having it in hand ring extremely hollow. I raised this in September before the "rush" of heating issues you are now experiencing - which for a heating company should not come as a surprise.
Update 12/3/26
Still waiting for a response or any action to resolve!!

Was told the install would take a week but it took 2 months! Bizarre process where the surveyor, designer and installer are all different people. Surveyor gave us incorrect information on possible locations and feasibility - I suspect he was on commission. The location we wanted turned out to be impossible and we had to move our cylinder cupboard too. Installer had never seen the house so no great surprise we had problems with the install. Communication and after care from EDF was non-existent and I had to chase them more than once. I even got sent emails meant for the installer giving ultimatums. The whole thing was a shambles and we regret doing it. Not convinced the system is going to work - we have 16 radiators but only 8 were replaced (with huge ones - we weren’t told they’d be so big!) and only 6 smart thermostats supplied for the 16 rads. Time will tell but early impressions aren’t great.

The team were all punctual, tidy and hard-working. The system was installed efficiently, and is working well.

I am an installer for EDF through C B Heating, Through their HPIN plus scheme I have been able to fit a heatpump and only supply pipe and fittings in my property. Everything went really smoothly, delivery on time and a big shout out to Phoebe who answered any questions quickly and efficiently, keeping in touch all the way through design and install. Thanks for everything team!! Great to see how the customer side of things works.

First fix was in February — it’s now October and the heat pump installation is still not finished.
EDF Heatpumps/CB Heating subcontracted the job, and both the plumber and electrician made serious mistakes. The hot water cylinder was set far too high and burned out, which could have caused serious damage to my home. The installer also did not return to fully connecting the system, leaving me with no heating.
A Daikin engineer eventually came to fix part of it, but the system is still fundamentally flawed. I’ve had an independent electrician quote £2,900 just to put the electrics right. This doesn't even include the plumbing work needed to get the system safe and working properly.
To make matters worse, since the faulty installation, my electricity bills have quadrupled. EDF are fully aware of the situation (I’ve been in regular contact) but they are doing nothing to rectify the problems.
We're now heading into winter and I have no confidence the system will work. This whole process has been stressful, expensive, and extremely disappointing. I would strongly urge others to think twice before using EDF Heatpumps/CB Heating for their installation.

I have to say the support I got over the phone from their engineer “GARY in Brighton” was outstanding, I had a problem with our new system and between us managed to get it working. CB are keeping in touch and hopefully will be dropping by to check everything is ok. Andrew

Heat loss calculations for the rooms were correct but the radiator sizes recommended were completely wrong some vastly oversized, some undersized and some rooms did not have a radiator allocated at all, I had to ask for the calculation factor and work out the radiator sizes myself, the unvented hot water cylinder that was installed was not compatible with my heat pump and affected the operation of the disinfectant mode which did not work at all, the cylinder is due to be changed, also the original cylinder did not comply with the G3 building regs so could not be signed off, I now understand why there is scepticism over changing to a heat pump as the designs being offered are not fit for purpose

I had my air-source heat pump installed by CB Heating, who work with EDF Energy, and the whole experience was outstanding.
From the start, Nicholas Redman from the sales team was professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. He guided me through the process and made everything clear and simple.
The installation was carried out by Connor Reed’s installation team who was extremely professional and detail-oriented. He made sure every part of the job was completed to the highest standard, following all regulations without compromise.
Sarah Smith from the admin team was also brilliant — very polite, efficient, and always quick to respond. She made the coordination process smooth and stress-free.
Later, when I had a small issue, a service engineer named Connor (from Catford) attended promptly. He arrived early, quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced a faulty valve, and even finished some leftover work. His professionalism really impressed me.
Overall, I’m very happy with CB Heating. They are a professional, reliable, and trustworthy company.
Highly recommended — 100% satisfied!

I had my installation done in January 2025. I normally Dont leave a review immediately till I'm fully satisfied with outcome and I see the difference in by bills as considering others opinion versus my experience.
ASHP installed by David and his team, and I have to say they worked incredibly hard — just two men working day and night to get the job done in about five days. The workmanship was brilliant, and their dedication really showed.
A big thank you as well to Kayleigh from CB Heating for all her support and quick turnaround — it really made a difference!
My first winter bills were quite high, but after doing some research, I’ve learned better ways to make the ASHP more efficient and cost-effective. Overall, very pleased with the installation and the team’s effort.

Great communication throughout the process headed up by Phoebe. The design team accommodated our needs for locations etc for the heat pump and cylinders. The install process was well explained and the install took place on time and the installers were easy to work with. Overall a very good experience.

UPDATE: 13/11/25 our system has been leaking for 4 weeks and CB heating have not sent anyone out to fix it, it seems as soon as you sign off and start paying the customer care stops, Connor at CB heating no longer wants to help.
original review Connor at CB Heating was so helpful when we had a bad experience with our installer, damage was done to our property and furniture and Connor arranged for it to all be repaired and refunded. We requested an installation check over as we were worried it hadn't been done to standard and Connor sent Nadeem out who couldn't have been more helpful. The installation took 3 weeks instead of 5 days so that was stressful.

I wish I had taken the local traders offer and had the job done by the one company. It took the expected time to install the heat pump but an extra 10 days without the shower is unacceptable. The system is in but nobody seems to know how to program it for the best use in my house. I have a malfunction and the local team are nowhere to be seen.
After CB heating reaching out to me from this review, I now have a better understanding of the system. I had a long conversation with Simon from the tech team who went through the system and it's various screens and requirements. There has been a lot of miscommunication and learning on both sides of this project as there were a number if different companies involved. Thanks to Connor for sending me the relevant video to watch and for following up on the faults incurred. Hopefully going forward it will all work as it should and I now know who to contact for help.

Our Daikin ASHP was installed in January this year. We didn't move into the property until mid-March, so it's still early days in terms of understanding the best settings for our unit. The installation went well, but the handover by the installer was not satisfactory. Then Andy Mumford came to the rescue. I was given his contact details when I called the EDF technical team to ask for help. Andy was very helpful over the phone and then visited yesterday to support with optimal set-up. He is clearly very experienced and answered all my questions. Nothing was too much trouble. Andy adjusted the settings to suit our circumstances and I feel much more confident that our ASHP is now functioning efficiently. Andy also helped me download the Daikin app, where I can manually adjust the water temperature, if needed. Great job!

The whole process from start to finish was very smooth with good communication between ourselves and cbheating.
Ashley and his team who completed the initial survey for the heat pump also installed the heat pump were exceptional.
They worked very hard were very clean and tidy and left the house with as little disruption as possible every evening. They also cleaned up well and took away all the rubbish at the end of the job.
They were polite, respectful and explained everything to us as they went along, nothing was too much trouble. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough.
Cbheating and Ashley contacted us a week after the installation was complete to confirm that everything is working well and answered all my questions in detail in a way I could understand.

the product selection was easy and the pre-work easy to arrange.
Unfortunately, for me, it went a bit down hill from there
The installation was estimated for 5 days (Giving a specific set of dates)
The install team did not attend the full period within the dates and the job went into a second week
This gave 2 issues.
The first was that I had to make arrangements for them to work for additional dates
The second was the property was left without heating for an extended period of time, leaving an vulnerable person without heating for an extended period of time.
The main installation engineer was clearly knowledgeable and experienced, whereas his assistant was a little distracted and not overly productive.
The quality of the product is high, the quality of the installation was a little better than mediocre

My survey was carried out by Sam, I couldn't of hoped for a more friendly and informative person for the job. She was polite and very knowledgeable keeping me informed of what she was doing from start to finish. The major bonus for me was that Sam made friends with my over boisterous English Bull Terrier and accommodated his never ending curiosity and demands for a tickle! Thanks Sam 👌 😊

Had a heat pump installed on 30th of July still cannot get on the heat pump tariff on EDF they keep saying not eligible for the discounted rates Because I paid my deposit before the April 1st cannot speak to anyone keep sending emails I wish I never had the heat pump installed. Also waiting for the sign off documents all the originals lost in the change over. Also the heat pump is leaking water on to the driveway not very happy at the moment

The team of Sylvia (coordination), Nathan (design) and the installation team - Pro solutions. Did an excellent job. The installation was done in the week I needed it to be. Heat pumps are not trivial installations, there were a lot of radiator changes and clarifications and they did things well and happy to respond to my questions and challenges. I would recommend going with established company like them selling trusted manufacturers. e.g. Daikin.
