Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 30 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Consumers frequently encounter frustrating website crashes during limited product drops and poorly managed online releases that leave loyal buyers empty-handed. People also struggle with unhelpful customer support teams that fail to properly resolve technical product flaws, such as inaccurate timekeeping or broken components. Some reviewers were happy with the customer service, praising outstanding work, free battery replacements, and smooth assistance. Others appreciated having older models successfully restored or experiencing long-lasting durability from previous purchases over several years of daily usage. Consumers also noted that some vintage or classic items continue to perform reliably without encountering major functional issues over time.

This is how customer service should be

Im amazed at the low Trustpilot score as I am over the moon with their service. Purchased a Casio Gshock Stainless steel watch in San Francisco about 8 years ago. It needed resetting and ideally a new bezel which was highly scratched. I expected the watch to be fixed but doubtful an older model could get the bezel replaced. They wrote saying as this was not a UK released model they would have to get the bezel from Japan. This they did and repaired the watch which looks amazing and for a fraction of the price of a similar new model. Thank you Casio.

The Casio Scalpers

Awful experience!

Similar to many others, I tried to buy the limited edition BTTF watch on launch last week with no luck.

The launch time was 10am - I’m not sure where 10am was because in the UK this was not the case? I tried for 20+ minutes with no luck? I checked again 30 minutes later and the watch was “available”. I managed to add it to my basket and go to checkout, but lo and behold the website crashed with a message akin to “site maintenance to improve your experience” - yeah right! I tried this another 4 or 5 times on different browsers and devices with the same result until the website gave up the ghost and said the watch was sold out?

I’m not sure if Casio are gas lighting everyone here to increase traffic to their website for consequential sales? Or if they have a closed pool of scalpers they wish to sell to because the entire allocation is now on eBay? Maybe Casio employees as the watch was clearly not available to the public.

And clearly the employees are very busy flogging these watches to respond to any email or WhatsApp communications - 3 days and counting!

It’s a real shame how they’ve handled this! I’ve never bought a Casio watch and it’s unlikely I ever will now I’ve experienced the appalling behaviour from them.

Avoid!!

Great Casio Scott!

Great job, Casio — truly outstanding work!

Management should hang their heads in shame.

Who on earth releases a limited-edition watch at 1 a.m.?
Apparently, Casio does.

What an absolute disaster of a release. I was on your site from 10 a.m., watching the wheel of death spin endlessly, pages crash, and every attempt to check out fail. I finally reached the payment screen — only for the site to crash again. And just like that, sold out.

Here’s an idea for next time:
Use a waiting room and a fair lottery system so everyone actually has a chance.

Now the watch is already appearing on eBay at inflated prices, while genuine fans are left empty-handed.

Releasing a limited edition in the middle of the night, with no fair queue or proper infrastructure, is just insulting. All you’ve done today is frustrate loyal customers and embarrass yourselves.

Casio Incompetence

They decide to take their website down for maintenance on the day they release a new watch for purchase, then despite their whatsapp customer ‘lack of service team’ stating there was stock available, it sells out. Sheer incompetence.

Went to buy an item

Went to buy an item, had it in the basket. Got to payment for the website to crash. Next thing they do is return me to do the process all over again and by the time I had got back to paying it said it had sold out. Unbelievable.

Casio gshock heritage series bought in…

Casio gshock heritage series bought in Japan. After a few weeks scratched glass. Returned to Casio for repair. Returned today, carefully packaged and looking pristine. I must disagree with some of the very negative reviews. I have contacted Casio on two occasions about the repair and my call was answered within seconds by very helpful and knowledgeable staff. My previous gshock watches have given great service and my oldest one, after several years service is still performing faultlessly.

Ignored and forgotten.

Dear Casio, I sent you an important message (see below) and followed up with another, but I haven’t heard back yet. Could you please let me know when you might have a chance to respond? Thanks

Dear Casio Customer Support,

I am writing to formally raise a complaint following your recent notification regarding a data breach. Since receiving your email, I have experienced a significant and sustained increase in suspicious and nuisance communications, including:

Automated calls falsely claiming I owe money to HM Revenue & Customs.

Calls where the line goes dead immediately upon answering.

Frequent calls from blocked or unrecognised numbers, occurring almost daily.

This activity has caused considerable disruption to my personal and professional life, often interrupting me during important work meetings.

A friend of mine, who also owns multiple Casio products, has experienced the same pattern of calls since the data breach. I have been a loyal customer for decades, having purchased numerous G-Shock watches (amongst others) since the 1970s, and my trust in your brand is being severely impacted by this situation.

I have previously experienced similar harassment after the Tiscali Internet data breach, which led me to remove my landline entirely. I am extremely concerned that my personal information is now in the hands of fraudsters as a direct result of the recent incident at Casio.

I request that Casio:

1. Provide a clear explanation of the extent of the breach and the data compromised.

2. Outline what measures are being taken to support affected customers.

3. Advise on any additional steps I should take to protect myself from ongoing scams.

I expect a prompt and detailed response to this matter.

Great watches - terrible UK service centre

I've always liked Casio watches, accurate and reliable. However when my new G-Shock stopped working just outside of the warranty I sent it back to the UK repair centre. They said that it needed a new module (sound familiar) but I couldn't justify the cost so I just got them to send it back to me.

Upon receiving it I thought that I had nothing to lose so I opened it up to look inside. All looked OK and I had a spare battery so I tried swapping it and guess what, it started working again!

I wrote and complained telling them that it only needed a battery change. I even spoke to the manager who assured me that the module was faulty.

What a bunch of crooks, if your technician has made a mistake then fess up and apologise.

It's now been working for over 2 months. My advice is to take your watch to a local watchmaker, even Timpson could have repaired this on the spot!

Return issue

I bought a watch but it was faulty (the hands became stuck). After returning it they just sent it back to me. Someone doesn't seem to have a clue what they're doing.

Casio g shock mudmaster ggb 100

Would not recommend this watch to anyone. Bought 3 years ago and now not working and needs a new module. £370 watch and now have to spend £76 for new module as its out of warranty. Supposed to be indestructible watch which i hardly wear and now broke after light use. DO NOT BUY IS MY ADVICE

Absolute crooks. Ordered a white watch,GD B500 when it arrived.
Returned item, got informed that my refund has been processed.
Days later, I get an email saying watch wasn't in pristine condition, got sent pictures of my watch with what looks like black pen drawn all the way down the inside of my watch. I mean what? ZERO way that was on that when my watch was returned.
Absolutely fuming wouldn't cover it. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

New MRW-230H PEPSI

Brought the MRW-230H Pepsi, (blue/red bezel). Lightweight, does the basics, but that's why you buy them, cheap enough, hopefully has the Casio quality that I've experienced previously, that is to be seen. Also bought the Black bezel, and the Green bezel 2 days after this one arrived. So they can't be that bad.
