I have been buying cards from The Card Factory on line for years and have been very happy with using the facility. Over the past year or so the website seems to have slowed down and to order cards it... See more

I selected 4 cards for the offer in-store and when I got to the till I was pressured in to buying a bundle of generic cards and this invalidated my offer. The offer in store for 4 cards for the price of 3 then becomes a potential scam. I have been in touch with customer services who haven't been able to help and all I asked for was some sort of goodwill gesture like a gift card for the difference rather than me trundle all the way back to town with an arthritic knee and refund the whole lot.
I used The Card Factory to send a few surprise birthday balloons. They got delivered ok, however, they did not put a message that I had specifically written in the box of balloons. When I told customer service they said, check in the box! It should be there. Well it wasn't and they didn't really care or want to discuss further. Very disappointing all around. That is the one thing I wanted for my personal message included with the balloons as it was a big joke in the message.
Visited the store at Cortonwood at the weekend to buy gift wrap. As always, all the staff are happy and nothing is too much trouble. I’d say it’s the most welcoming store on the retail park
Yesterday,25th April, I purchased something at the Burnham on sea branch of Card Factory, I was served by a really lovely lady who went out of her way to help me, she served me with a smile and made my experience shopping at Card Factory a good experience,it was the lady at till3, so thank you for being so kind and helpful, I have always found the staff at Card Factory Burnham on sea really nice
Banners for birthday not long enough & writing small. Age balloons are upside down so when hanging the number is wrong way.
I was visiting the Hinckley store for the first time yesterday and was helped and served by Hemma , she was very helpful and friendly and gave really good customer service would definitely return to this store again.
I have used Card Factory for a while now and found them to be Brilliant! Great choice of cards and very competitive prices. Ordered 5 cards to be delivered to myself and was a little worries about them getting damaged but they arrived in box. Was delivered ahead of time too. :-)
went into Honiton shop for cards. Couldn't find all the ones I needed. The staff were really knowledgeable, courteous and patient. Fantastic service.
Attitude of manager at Daventry Road Coventry Store.
The manager of the daventry Road store is appalling. She is very condescending when talking to her. I have visited a few times and she even speaks down to her staff. She has advised it would be an hour wait for one balloon inflation even though I am the only customer in store. If you ask for help looking for something she makes you feel awkward and bad for doing so - not the best customer service. People I have spoken to have also had similar comments. The store has potential to do well with the locals as it’s located in a handy shopping parade. Do better!
I have been using card factory a long time but my last order was very disappointing, the card has changed and not for the better, I even ordered a card I already had and it has changed from a lovely embossed card to a shiny cheap looking card and the price has gone up, won’t be using them again!!!
My wife visited the Cardiff store today and was served by Ian who was friendly helpful and polite .
Hi, me and my partner visited robin park card factory today and experienced homophobia and discrimination upon entering the store Chelsea I’m guessing the manager made a derogatory comment to the member of staff behind the counter making me a man and my male partner very uncomfortable and unwelcome to the point where we will not be visiting this store again I would rather pay the parking fee and visit the Wigan town center store instead would strongly not recommend this store to my friends and family
Excellent service amazing prices and selection from the St Austell branch very very pleased
I visited the Card Factory Littlehampton store today and got a bit confused about what I needed for a birthday party, I was helped by a lovely woman called Mandy, think she was the store manager, she was fantastic, so helpful and knowledgeable, she showed me various things that I hadn’t thought of for a party and I was so pleased with what I bought.
I got balloons, cards, party bags and lots of great gifts.
I have already recommended this store to my friends as I found the customer service so very good, well done Card Factory!
I have just returned from Card Factory in Rustington Sussex and tried to buy some helium balloons that require inflation.
The "gentleman" behind the counter was extremely rude to me and told me to come back in an hour as they were too busy to inflate them while I waited, I was unable to do this as I was on my lunch break, and as a note there was one other person behind me in the queue and the young girl inflating balloons was actually inflating two helium balloons for another customer and had done them while I was in the queue – 2-3 minutes maximum.
I asked why they couldn’t do them while I waited as they always had done and was told I should use my “common sense” and not expect them to be inflated while I waited because of how busy they were, like I said there was one person behind me– I found this persons attitude extremely offensive and this person said they’d worked there for 3 years and it had always been like that. He said that they are asking customers to order balloons to be collected, how would I know that as there are no signs anywhere?? That store is also NOT available for Click & Collect so how am I supposed to pre-order?? I am not a mind reader.
At the risk of calling him a liar I have ALWAYS got my balloons from this branch of the Card Factory, without pre-ordering, and found them to be very helpful and pleasant and NEVER having to wait for balloons to be inflated so this was an untrue statement from him.
I would imagine you are losing a lot of business due to this employees attitude and I certainly won’t be going back.
Today while shopping in the Worthing West Sussex shop I was purchasing cards for three people/friends and as I got to the till to pay a very nice helpful young man (Jamie his badge told me) pointed out that if I needed one more card it would count towards a offer that was running 👍🏼 thank you Jamie weldone 😊
Went into the store today to purchase a card and some balloons for my granddaughter and I just wanted to write in about the young lady named Sasha who served me. Her manners and friendly personality is an asset to your company. Will most definitely be back.
Firstly glad to see CF have improved on their quality of cards as for a while they weren’t to the same standard we are all used to.
Aaron B Meadowhall Store 1/4/26 11.47 till 7
What a guy and refreshing change apologised to everyone for keeping them waiting (but he’d not really) asked if we had found everything we were looking for, offering the add ons as instructed to do whilst I was grinning at him he continued. I explained I had worked many years in MH and had to do the same. He was polite and everything was going fine until payment when till/card machine started to play up. The queue was growing he calmly called in others to assist on tills whilst trying to sort the problem again apologised to me and everyone behind me and whilst doing what he had to engaged in banter keeping us all entertained and laughing.
Apart from being good at what he does he read the need acted on it and delivered excellent customer service 👏🏻👏🏻 he also sorted out the problem 🌟
I went to My local store in Barry & I wanted to just jump off a bridge the shop service or lack of staff & the obvious questions people in retail are forced to ask everyone, I was waiting in the queue there was 2 people in front of Me & others came behind Me everyone was moaning & asking is there anyone else serving, the young lady said sorry Our other staff member is being trained etc so it’s just me’ so o was annoyed by this alone & then to hear the repetitious questions being asked over & over to customers by the assistant “did you need a balloon” how about a weight’ did you want wrapping paper with this or that’ is there anything else you need or couldn’t find like this that or the other’ & this was every customer, given the size of the tiny store it gets quite grating especially when your browsing’ I don’t blame the staff member she’s clearly doing what she’s been asked to by whom ever with this company’ it annoys the hell out of Me & it’s always the cheap stores’ you’d expect it from corporate high wages shops but not a flaming card store it’s just over the top, & it was like an oven in there gets super warm in a small confined shop like that, th whole experience was just rubbish & infuriating & annoying,
Very disappointing experience.
I visited the store in Wallsend, North Tyneside. I brought my own balloons and was told the total would be £12, but £20 was taken from my card. When I asked why, I was told £4 was for a large butterfly item. However, when I got home, the butterfly was missing from my order.
I called the store immediately after I got home, and I was told that I had not given them the butterfly, which is not true. Only at the end of the conversation was I told that I could come back to get a £4 refund.
They can easily check their CCTV and see that I did give the item to their colleague.
This was for my child’s birthday, and I live far away, so it was very upsetting.
I feel really let down by the service.
